2025.01.23 22:18 What_Iz_This VR Exclusively for ACC in 2025 and Question with monitor
Looking at making the jump to ACC from GT7. I tried AC a few months ago, and while its great, gt7 was just too pretty not to go back to. But I know I'm robbing myself of the actual experience of a true sim and i want to get the most out of my moza r9, so I'm looking to try ACC since its only $10 at the moment. Mainly only race in gt3 so that's another reason I'm looking at that.
My question though is how is ACC in VR in 2025? Looking at older threads it looks like it went from unusable to pretty good but just wanted a more up to date opinion.
Another problem im going to run into is the way my rig is setup. Basically since i only race in VR and on GT7 i have my rig pointed perpendicular to my computer desk. with ACC i'll obviously need a screen to navigate the menus and stuff. wondering if there is like a cheap option of mounting a smaller screen to my p1x literally just for the purpose of navigating menus/starting races/settings/etc. I have an ipad if theres like an app that would mirror my computer screen...like maybe anydesk or something? Not sure, just wanted to see if anyone else's setup is sort of the same way and has come up with a genius idea.

So I’m currently an employee at one of the stores in Tallahassee,Fl on overnight but I live in Southwest Ga right on the GA/FL line. I was out Jan 15-16 with the flu went to the ER and called in. I was scheduled to be off the 17-21st. Jan 21st we had a snow storm and the 22nd when I was scheduled to come in I couldn’t make it due to roads being closed and being under a county wide curfew in Georgia where I live and GSP had the highways blocked off going into Tallahassee. Today I’m scheduled to come in also, but all the roads I could possibly take to get to Tallahassee are closed with heavy patches of ice. I’m trying to get in contact with the store but nobody has been answering the phone this entire time. I have none of the supervisors phone numbers. My only method of contact with my coach has been through Facebook Messenger but this guy has been ignoring my messages. I got in contact with one of the TL that used to be on my shift but she told me she’s not allowed to give out any phone numbers to anybody in management. I racked up 2 points being out with the flu which put me at 4. Missing last night put me at 5 and if I miss tonight which looks like it might be the case that will be 6. So what should I do at this point? Is there an associate number I can call to speak to someone about my situation since nobody at the store will ever. I’ve been trying to call the store since I had the flu and nobody has answered at the front desk or even at the human resource option.

My dad went to the liquor store at around 8pm with my brother in law to buy some beer he met an old friend in the parking lot they started talking catching up when all of a sudden my dad sees my brother in law fighting with somebody so he goes to try to help him then he said he felt like something hit him in the back of the head and he felt hot blood running down his neck he took the guy off my brother in law then started getting pistol whipped by some other dude it was a group of people who ended up jumping them my dad tried to get into a liquor store but the owner locked the door on him he then fell on the ground struggling to breath or move all while my brother in law hopped in his truck and left him there to bleed out he gets to our apartment all bloody in a rush telling my sister and my mom that my dads dead that’s he’s in a puddle of blood he couldn’t call the cops bc his phone was gone they rush back to the scene the liquor store in around the corner from my house the paramedics were already there they took in my dad and my brother In law to the nearest hospital my father had a cracked skullled and brain exposure he was in the ICU for 3 weeks he was unrecognizable they didn’t know how he was going to respond we all assumed he was in a vegetative state it affected the left side of his brain which is responsible for speech decision making, reasoning critical thinking now thankfully my dad recovered he survived and is fine we walks he can talk just stutters a bit it didn’t affect his memory thankfully he can move run and do everything he was capable of before the incident im just thankful to still have my dad I do need some advice on lawyers though the detectives haven’t been any help idk we gave them names addresses of suspects my said said he recognized 3 of the people who were there he even recognized a few individuals from some pics he was showed but still nothing it’s been a 2 years now and nobody has been caught I tried to get my dad compensation I spoke to victim services and apparently somebody has to get charged he has to file a law suit against them would lawyers be able to help my dad with this ? How can I get my dad some compensation he can’t work he’s always dizzy now and has hard time concentrating he needs assistance with medical bills and relocation

Backstory: We met on Hinge. He messaged first, our conversations and time together has been nothing but amazing. We first started talking last week Thursday 16 Jan, first date on Sunday 19 Jan in the city, second date on Monday 20 Jan at their place, third date on Wednesday 22 Jan in the city, with our fourth date scheduled on Saturday 25 Jan at their place. We both haven't felt we are rushing into anything and even though we've known each other for a week, it's felt like we've known each other forever.
This has been my first "proper" relationship, where I have found someone who I can be myself, we talk quite often over messages and facetime every night. On our third date I asked them if I could give them a kiss. I was nervous as it would be my first kiss, he was waiting on me to ask and I'm glad I got over my nerves.
We are both starting to sounds like a broken record, repeating how we have never felt this way about someone before and want to continue this, with every facetime after a date we both say how we miss seeing each other in person. I always get butterflies when I get a message from them or they send me a wholesome post showing they were thinking about me..
I want him to be my boyfriend and I think he does too. I'm considering to ask him on our next date this Saturday which will be at his place, just us two watching films and enjoying each others company.
My real question is: How long do you wait before asking someone to be your boyfriend? And did the number of dates or length of time affect you in asking them?
I understand relationships have no set rules and we have been going with the flow, but this is my first relationship and not sure if I'm rushing anything

2025.01.23 22:18 Imaginat01n Had a weird visualization and realization
I noticed parts getting pretty activated today, trying to make me numb myself or feel short-term happiness at the cost of long-term positives.
Anyway, I sat down just to breathe and be with my system. In the past I've tried to meditate as a means to an end (feeling better), however today I did it not to lead to an outcome but because I want to be Self-led (especially through Curiosity and Clarity). So, yay me.
While meditating, my parts were all competing for attention. Eventually, though, things quieted down and a visual of what Self looks like to me naturally in my mind. And I guess Self to me, or maybe the way Self appears to my 7 year old inner kid exile, is a young woman from Australia surfing on the waves 😂 (For context, I've never been to Australia and I'm male).
In my imagery, she embodied the 8Cs and every time my parts tried to intellectualize her or analyze her or make her as a means of feeling better, she would say "Just be." And so I ... just was.
A little while later, I had a visual of someone I have a difficult relationship with. Self-as-young-woman-from-Australia helped guide my parts to realize that that person is me. Not literally of course, but that person also wants to be free of suffering and also has Self and the 8Cs.
Not sure if any of that makes sense but it was a cool way to spend about 25 minutes!
