2025.01.24 00:26 Sobrin_ Does anyone have any good post apocalypse books that aren't just "And then they got superpowers"?
So, in a lot of (post) apocalypse novels the apocalypse gives the survivors either superhero powers, cultivation, a leveling system, a particularly psychopathic feet loving AI, or dungeons. Sometimes a combination of those things. Which usually results in this society of might makes right and so on.
For instance, there's this theme in cultivation novels where the world is no longer as qi rich as it used to be. Resources getting scarcer, even if this takes place over millenia.
It has had me toying with this idea where that's taken to its logical conclusion, a world practically drained of energy. Where life has started to die off as a result. Where what little qi remains is needed to keep the few remaining people alive as they trudge across this worldwide wasteland.
And that has me craving such stories! Kinda bleak I know, but I'm mostly looking for something where the apocalypse can't just be shrugged off. If anyone has good suggestions please comment them.

I feel like I'm missing something. I'm a couple books into the series (just started The Dragon Reborn) and I don't understand the timeline of how the dragon, lews therin, keeps returning
I understand that 3000 years prior, lews therin broke the world, and that he's prophesised to return again. But when the books talk about the lore around him and how he's fought the dark one over and over and over again, comes back in different iterations etc. ... when is that happening? Like has this breaking of the world happened over and over and it's just that the most recent was 3000 years ago?
Perhaps it's explained as i get further into the series but I feel like I need it spelled out for me. Because I thought when he broke the world it was for a very specific reason, something to do with his family? But if he's come back a million times before that already, why was it so consequential for him at the time of the most recent breaking? Je suis confused

Yes,Trouble Brewing in Tencent "GamePlay" Android Emulator as of Late....as Well, Now with "Malwarebytes" now.... Blocks it's Access Claiming "Trojan Virus" Access....this started continuously 10 days ago. Prior was sporadic. So as mentioned, Pain in the Ass to attempt to Uninstall 'Gameloop' without hours of diligence and effort. Yes, It took hours to MANUALLY DELETE IT"S FILES EMBEDDED DEEP In the System Files. And within this Foley, It has the Audacity that Blocks Administrator Delete Privileges to uninstal it's operation files, Yah...!! Thus, So one by one file deletion is required for a Simple Tencent Android Emulator...??? Why is this such a Drama to Achieve. .? This is My Third Event after Tencent Issues in the past.
HOW IS THIS NORMAL..?? I LOVE my CODM, like what 5 years+ been feasting on my COD to utter delight. But...This is Really Concerning and Completely Out of a Normal Windows Program Issue. This "Tencent" Tenacity of Booting It's Own Operations upon My PC Start-up, was Odd Enough. And also Starting up to x5 Com Surrogates as well, Private Outgoing Streams. Ahem...! WTF...!!??
So who knows, As with of course Any Google/Edge Web Search Inquiries....they are Off the Grid within the Boundaries of "Squeak Clean..?" Normal Online Enquiries on it being a Safe & Sound Android Emulation.
