My husband and I cannot agree on a name and feel like we just haven't heard the right name yet! We have a son and when we named him the name just felt right and so far we have not had that feeling with girl name. If our son would have been a girl his name would have been Isla Anais but that name no longer feels right. A few other names that have come up are 1. Adeline 2. Emry 3. Evie 4. Aurelia 5. Arabelle or Arabella 6. Ellie Isabella or Ellie Belle 7. Elora 8. Saylor 9. Tilly The problem is the names on this list that he likes I don't and vice versa. We also both agree they are all too common and or just don't feel right. At this point she is going to be here any day now and we have nothing. We both agree we want a name with a strong meaning but femine sound.

I have a 3800x and some RAM laying around so I found this ASRock AM4 AMD B550 SATA 6Gb/s Micro ATX AMD Motherboard Model B550M Phantom Gaming 4 for $92. I don't need anything too fancy but I don't want to completely cheap out either. I'd put the money saved on the motherboard towards a better water cooler, probably like an Atmos 240 if it ever goes on sale. Thanks for your suggestions.

I think it was from his grandpa…who was possibly a jeweler. The guy traveled. There was a group work situation-maybe a commune. The heirloom was stolen by someone he encountered. It ended with the guy not getting it back and he followed the thief to the next destination. It was a very disappointing ending. I read it within the past 20 years and it was new at the time. Thanks for any ideas.

I recently enrolled in a short Interior Design diploma at an art school. So, as part of the basic assignments, there is painting and some non-architectural drawing that will most certainly help with architectural drawing.
I have never painted before. So naturally, my strokes, though well-intentioned, were a swing-and-a-miss. But I LOVED IT. I love trying new things. Which is why I am here - the art school and this subreddit. LOL.
So, I bet PAINTING used to be a useful skill before Digital Art took over. Eventually, there will be no painting, at least that is what I believe. Is it not a dying a art?
For the sake of this post, let's assume that it is.
What other skills in the same context would you say used to be useful (I want to learn those) but are not useful anymore?

I’m not even usually a huge accelerationist, but having a MAGA mother and seeing how far the brainwashing has gotten (she voted for Obama as recently as 2012), giving MAGA control of everything and forcing their hand to enact all their most extreme agenda right away is the only hope in getting through to them at this point.
The nuttiest right winger saying crazy shit on X who is getting traction in the tradCath podcast verse or something and getting noticed by Thiel who runs? Register as a Republican and vote for them.
Because you have to understand, the whole right wing universe nowadays is taking the most obvious nutjobs and arguing they could have fixed everything if not for the “Dems and RINOs”. Even Trump with his comedic personality means people let him off the hook for his actions. Not the same with a Doug Mastriano type though. So give Trump what he wants. Call his bluff and actually elect the nutjobs he endorses.
Let’s have a point where they are able in like two years to have a Constitutional Convention where they repeal all amendments thirteenth and later (and I say this as a black person). Because you materially change people’s day to day lives and that’s the only way to get them in the streets to actually give a shit and force change. They keep gradually making things worse and people living just enough of their day to day lives (particularly MAGAs who are women or minorities) to ignore it.
Will this be fucked up? Yes but it’s inevitable at a certain point anyway. The only chance we have is to let the MAGA voters burn their hand on the stove in the next couple years. Rip off the band aid and show the right in this country for who they are.

Relative newbie here, playing on mobile. If I don't set the Advanced Settings when clicking Find Match (i.e. stay open to any map), is it limiting potential matches in some other way, like attempting to match me with players of similar ELO? Or is it willing to match me with literally anyone else looking for a game right then?
So far my usual experience is that it offers up one possible match and if I decline it and try again, it shows me the same one again. Repeatedly. Is that because it always shows me what it considers the best match and there's no way to move past it to show other options? Or is it because there's only one one other person in the world looking for a game at that moment?

I know this will be a very unpopular take especially in this sub but I just want to express my take. I'm 16 and a sikh from Canada so I'm not personally impacted by the farm protest and the demands don't directly affect me. The main thing is this second farm protests demands seems to be in my opinion unreasonable. This is harsh but I think this is the truth and has to be said. In the current farmer protest one of the demands is India to exit from the WTO. I should not have to explain this but this organization is what manages global trade and exiting doesn't make sense. Another ridiculous demand is monthly pensions. This is because India is broke and constantly giving free money will cause inflation and make Punjab and India more like a socialist state. MSP is always the main focus of the protest but these points often get overlooked. From a economic perspective Punjab needs to embrace more of capitalist approach in order to build industries and make the state more developed.
