Hi all,
I am trying to plan a trip in late September. This is my first solo trip and first time to Iceland so wanting to do a lot of things but worried my itinerary might not be realistic. This was created with ChatGPT. I have considered skipping the golden circle to be able to have more time along the south coast. I want to do some hiking but I'm super slow and inexperienced so I figure it will probably take me double the time to do hikes. Hi, I (19F) have a roommate (18F) who I moved in with toward the end of last semester. I decided to move in with her because my college initially placed me in a temporary forced triple. When the college emailed me and my old roommates about an opening for one of us to move, I decided to take it since my old roommates were closer friends.
At first, I thought my new roommate and I would get along. We come from similar backgrounds and share a lot of the same interests. When I moved in, I made sure to go over boundaries with her—like whether she was okay with eating in the dorm or me staying up late. I’ve never shared a room before since I’m an only child, so I wanted to avoid accidentally upsetting her. She said all that was fine, and I also told her to let me know if I did anything that bothered her. I reassured her I wouldn’t be upset if she brought up an issue, and she agreed to do the same.
We don’t talk much, which I initially thought was because we’re both introverted. When I’ve tried to start conversations, she’s usually reserved and gives short answers. I assumed it was just awkwardness, but now I’m starting to think she might actually dislike me.
Here’s why: Today, I was heading to one of my late classes and walked by her while she was with a group of people who I assume are her friends. I didn’t recognize anyone in the group except her. I said hi, and she said hi back, but after I passed them, there was this dead silence. Then, as I turned the corner, I heard someone shout something. I didn’t catch all of it, but it sounded like either “fuck her” or “fucktard.” I also heard someone else reply, saying something like, “I was trying to mouth that to you.” Then another person said, “Why is she…” but I didn’t hear the rest.
I could pick up on enough to know they were talking about me, though, and it really hurt. I don’t even know anyone in that group, so she must have been complaining about me behind my back. I don’t understand why, though. We’ve never argued, and I’ve never said anything bad about her to anyone. I’ve always tried to be respectful of her boundaries.
Sometimes I can be a bit messy, but so is she—if anything, my side of the room is usually cleaner than hers. I’m also the only one who vacuums and cleans the room, which I don’t mind doing, but still. I some reasons I can think of are that I spend a lot of time in the dorm. I haven’t made any friends yet, but I try to give her space. I’m not there all day; it’s mostly in the evenings.
Part of me wants to confront her and ask if I did something wrong, but I’m scared it will make things worse. I haven’t told anyone close to me about what happened since I feel my parents will overreact (they’re a bit protective) and i don’t want to tell my home friends because I in all honestly am a bit embarrassed. They already know I’m having trouble making new friends and now adding this it feels shameful. What should I do?

The grounding wire coming out of the 240v dryer outlet (silver box thing in the wall) looks like it was cut with a pair of pliers. You can swap this dll with the one in tarkov, ive been doing that for a while but ofc dlss 4 just released so i updated my dll and tried it and all i gotta say is wow. 1080p from 1440p now looks like native 1440p.

I 22M recently met this girl let’s call her K 22F We have been dating for 7 months. I met her at a bar in another city about an hour away where she lives but originally she is from my home town. She is beautiful, sweet, thoughtful the total package.
K and I have spent quite a bit of time together over the break but usually at her house as I’ve met her friends and flatmates already and we go out together etc.
A couple of weeks ago she came down to see me and I introduced her to some of my friends. We started off at my apartment for pre drinking. She was her usual bubbly self being very friendly and chatty to friends that had already been there. I was relieved that there wasn’t any awkwardness. Half way through my bestfriend called C 21M arrives. I was in a deep chat so I asked her to open the door. After this her whole mood had changed. She wasn’t chatty or bubbly and said she was feeling under the weather and wanted to stay at home and that me and the boys should enjoy our night. I got really upset but she insisted and said that she’ll stay up waiting for me. We go out to a pub instead and chat/catchup and I ask the guys what they think about her. Everyone says good things but C proceeds to talk about how he knows her. And how they used to date 4 years ago and she was desperate to be with him. He says some really crazy stuff about how they hooked up a year and bit ago. And how he was surprised but happy for me as he knows she’s a good girl and “I’m taken care of”. The way he said that now thinking back makes me sick because it was definitely talking about sex. Everything got really awkward atleast for me in that moment and I had to leave.
It was really shocking to hear as I’d mentioned his name before and showed pictures of me and C before and she’s never said anything.
I got home and told her about what I found out. She started to cry and apologised saying she should have told me but she didn’t really realise the severity of the situation and thought she could just play it off because she loves me and cares about me. She told me that they used to hook up when she was 18 and she wanted to be in a relationship with him but he didn’t want to be with her. She said she was naive and thought she was in love with him and said she boosted his ego too much as she doesn’t think about him at all but he kept appearing in her life messaging her and trying to contact her but she eventually ignored and blocked him. I asked when was the last time she spoke to him and she said she saw him months before we started dating but didn’t mention that they hooked up.
The conversation was very awkward and had a lot of silences from both of us but she eventually suggested she go back home. It was like 3 am so I told her to just sleep and we’ll talk in the morning. I couldn’t sleep so I ended up going through her phone and looking at their messages. The last iMessage she sent was from 4 years ago and it was a long paragraph about how she just wanted him to love her and for their relationship to be meaningful, there was no reply so I guess she blocked him. It felt really passionate what was between them, more passionate than what we have now. The last Instagram message between them was 6 months before we were together and it was her thanking him and saying she had a good time but she has moved past what they had and how she feels different but no hard feelings. He then messages her a couple of times but she doesn’t reply as these were unread. Fyi I activated her deactivated Instagram as she is not on social media. I felt very bad invading her privacy but I’ve never felt so stressed out before.
She wakes up and I say it’s best she leaves and she agrees. She then texts me a day later apologising and said:
“the last thing I wanted was to get you in the middle of me and some stupid guy from long ago. I love you and care about you more than you understand and I can’t apologise enough for not telling you about knowing him. I regret it so much. It would have given you the opportunity to think twice about our relationship and I took that away from you. I’m so sorry. I hope one day you can forgive me. I wish it was you saying this but all this blank space and silence is driving me crazy. We should end things. I will mourn what could have been between us but I effed it up and now I have to deal with the consequences without hurting myself. I never once thought about C and I moved on from what we had a long time ago. I had only seen him that last time as I was lonely but I realised I felt nothing for him. You mean the world to me and I’ll spend the rest of my life regretting ever being with C and what I did to you. I love you and I’m always here if you ever need”
I told C about the situation and he supported me but it feels so so weird between us. I have to stop myself from asking intimate questions as I feel I inferior to C now. I know things about him that make me feel inadequate.
I feel so angry and confused. She is an amazing girl. Like wifey material but it’s so difficult to keep going when C who is a known player has been with her. I feel sad she broke up with me as I didn’t even get to speak to her again. It’s been 2 weeks and I think about her everyday but I don’t know what to say as she ended things with me. I am truly truly lost. I just hope I’m not making the biggest mistake of my life here.
