Hi,
I've been living with ADHD, and have been receiving treatment for over 10 year (meds & therapy) and also live with my partner of 4 years.
My partner knows about my struggles with symptom management. I feel like we love each other, but in a dead, sad kind of way. Much of our issues stem from differences in how we approach problem solving and maintaining our living situation.
Problem solving: We bought a house, and he purchased a washer dryer tower. I let him take charge of this project with choosing the set he wanted, and he asked me to be at home when the washedryer tower was delivered. When it was delivered by the vendor, I helped them navigate and remove/replace the old set in the house. The delivery guys had a lot of trouble maneuvering it into spot my partner and I wanted. After it was put in place, the delivery guys and I realized there wasn't enough clearance on the sides to fully open the doors of the washer dryer. The doors could barely open to a reasonable amount for laundry to fit in. The delivery guys then told me two options: the washer dryer set could be returned for a different product that would actually fit and operate as expected, or my partner and I could just keep the set, and figure out a solution to get everything working as expected. I had to tell my partner what was going on, and he decided to keep the set and knock down some cabinetry to make space that would permit the doors to open properly. I wanted the set returned for something that would fit and work properly in the space as it was. He wanted to keep the washedryer, and i couldnt convince him otherwise. Queue three weeks of us knocking down cabinets and replacing them. It ended up being very expensive, laborious and time consuming. If the washer dryer set was returned/replaced with a product that fit more easily, it would have been less headache. I was unhappy about it to say the least.
Living Situation Maintenance: If I don't stick to a routine or plan, I have a tendency to put off tasks or chores until it is glaringly obvious to complete them. With scheduling,, I can take care of my tasks etc on a regular basis. However, to keep things in check, my partner provides external stimuli/enforcement so tasks/chores are divided up fairly, and completed on a regular basis. In the situation when I don't complete things as expected, my partner is understandably upset. Sometimes, things get out of hand, and my partner screams at the top of his lungs. In two separate occasions, he threw nearby objects at the wall right next to my head. On other occasions, he would attempt to engage in self-harm by ramming his own head into the wall. I had to stop him in those instances. He is aware he has anger management issues and has been working on getting better.
At this point I'm kind of exhausted, and not sure if I want to continue or not with him.

My friend's gaming laptop is fried so we're making him a pc but he has tight budget, we are going with R5 7600x with 16gb ram of 6000mhz, but we're soo confused between some gpus, RTX 4060Ti 8gb, 7600xt 16gb and Rx6700 10gb, here in my country currently all three of them are nearly the exact same price around $365-369, the purpose for building the pc is gaming and some work like which does not include any video editing or 3D rendering or any design stuff. I've seen that many games does consume more than 8gb or 10gb Vram but isn't 16gb overkill, and in terms of performance they compete closely. Please recommend so we can finalize his build as soon as possible.

I (42M) am not really a piercing kind of guy. I have a few tattoos but up until now the only piercing I’ve had is a hoop earring from when I was 18. But yesterday got my nipples pierced and I LOVE it. I feel sexy AF. That may not seem like a big deal to some but it’s a huge milestone for me. I grew up in a white, cishet Catholic household in the midwestern United States. We were politically liberal but religion was a big part of my childhood and I was very active in the Church. I went to Catholic grammar school and high school by choice, served as an altar boy for 8 years, and was a church musician for 10. I feel this context is important because our entire family framework for how we viewed our bodies was seen through a conservative religious lens. The word “sexy” was something to be ashamed of, not celebrated.
I fell out with the Church in college; it was emotionally catastrophic because of how entwined it was with my identity. I had a similar emotional fracture in my mid-30s when I finally realized I was bisexual and came out to my wife and close friends. My family doesn’t and will never know, which does pain me quite a bit.
I’ve struggled with body image my entire life. I’m short (5’ 4”), overweight (210 lbs.), have quite a bit of body hair, and even at my fittest had a bit of body dysmorphia. Growing up we were victims of 1990s diet culture, to the point where when I was 13 my parents agreed to let a newspaper reporter follow us around for 3 months on a “family weight loss journey” in exchange for free access to a dietician. Our results, struggles, and photos were published in the local newspaper for all to see, which wasn’t exactly a great way to start my teenage years. (Side note: I don’t fault my parents for this. They both had rough childhoods where they were constantly made fun of for their weight, sometimes even by other adult family members. They wanted to spare my brother and I from the same fate and they saw this as a golden opportunity. That obviously doesn’t negate the harm it caused but I do have lots of empathy for them.)
It’s taken me a long time to view my body with something other than hatred and disgust. Even now I hear echoes of it occasionally when I’m looking in the mirror. I’m still overweight and have “peak dad bod”, but I’m trying to focus more on achieving healthy blood pressure and cholesterol rather than the number on the scale.
So I hope now you can understand why it’s such a huge deal when I say I feel sexy. I love my body and I love the way these piercings look and feel. I’ve never felt more comfortable and happy in my own skin. They’re healing great too so I really couldn’t ask for more. I knew I was going to like them but I didn’t expect it to be so transformational. I wish everyone felt what I feel and I hope that wherever you are on your journey you can get where you want to go. 2025.01.24 05:10 -Just_Vast- Cat Advice. (My cats driving me exhausted.)
My cat recently has loved climing onto roofs. Shes and indoor and outdoor cat, and loves to explore. Always has sense she first figured out the doggy door. From early November to late december atleast 2 times shes figured out she can get onto our nextdoor NEIGHBORS roof even with an easy pretty far jump down onto our sheds roof. Me, being disabled, i cant climb a latter very well - My boyfriend whom is also disabled, tries, but also finds difficulty climb a latter and cant get her down cause she only gets so close to the edge. She will be on the roof for days, and she will sit until i come get her. Last time she got onto the roof it was a 180$ vet visit cause I needed the fire department to get her down and they threw her off the cliff. She ended up okay, as known but i needed to give her a checkup cause it was a knarly fall.
The last time shes done this we kept her inside. After a while she started to stop eating, and started chewing up chords, tablets, room decor, anything JUST to go outside. She even started getting into small territorial fights with the other cats we own even when shes known them her whole existance and has ALWAYS gotten along with them. She acts like NOT going outside is a death sentence.
So I started letting her out again and she started eating and being normal. Shed been consistent with greeting me at my bedroom door for a while but kinda dissapears for a day after that. Ive been playing with her more, almost daily, but she also seems to get the same when i dont play with her. Shes so bored 24/7 and constantly has a "sassy attitude" (not in the agressive way).
I also havent seen her for the past day or so, and im so exhausted of trying to get this cat to be normal. And i cant leave her on the roof for more than 3 days to wait her out cause, ONE; i cry for hours thinking she WILL die, TWO; she genuinely wont come down unless its by MY own hands and im scared she'll starve herself if i dont help her. Ive put up a latter thats almost EXACT roof height, ive put up wet food on the latter. I dont have the money for more vet visits if she gets hurt again and i dont want to rehome her at all cause ive raised her sense birth.
AND, i live with my mom still. She doesnt care about my cats health what-so-ever and could care less if she dies on that roof. Plus she wont close the dog door cause "its too much work to let the dogs out and gaurd the door." Ive enforced her to do it both times but she gave up on that when she got tired of it, or whenever my cat would becime lethargic and more spiteful cause she couldnt go outside. And both me and my boyfriend fucking hate her for that.
Any advice??

My GF came home today, clearly flustered and stressed. When I asked her what was wrong, she said that she hit a person on the way home; however, that wasn't the end. She told me she put the body in the trunk and needed my help burying it.
I was shocked, I said no, we should call the cops. She got upset, yelled at me, then left. She came back several hours later covered in dirt. She told me she buried the body herself, then accused me of never supporting her.
Now she is giving me the cold shoulder.
