My girlfriend [19F] and I[23M] started dating in November 2023 after meeting in a school class earlier that August. Things were going well initially, but we broke up for about three months after I discovered some unprofessional photos she had sent to her boss, claiming they were from her Instagram. It was hard for me to process, but I eventually forgave her, and we got back together in August 2024.
Since then, I’ve come to understand that she has had a very unfortunate past—things that no one should ever have to go through. Her relationship with her mother is strained, and things with her father are confusing at best. She’s shared with me that she’s thought about ending her life on multiple occasions, and it breaks my heart.
I’ve tried to be there for her by listening, understanding, and gently suggesting therapy as a way to help. But she seems resistant, and it’s hard to know how to bring it up without making her feel like I think she’s “crazy.” Things came to a head about a week ago after a big argument. She packed up everything I’ve ever given her—gifts, clothes, everything—and handed it back to me.
We had a long talk in her apartment complex parking lot, but after a while, she left the car. I sat there for 20 minutes, unsure of what to do, before deciding to knock on her door and try again. We’ve always preached the importance of communication in our relationship. When I asked if we could go for a drive to talk things out, she admitted she was planning to end her life. She said she had sent her sister a note or “will” with instructions about what to do with her belongings. I was devastated and didn’t know how to respond, but I stayed with her and tried to comfort her.

2025.01.24 05:23 Oblivions_ending I got on disability!

After 2 and a half years of getting rejected by social security, I finally got on disability.
The reason I was getting rejected was because my lawyers failed to pull a lot of my hospital records, which is something I only found out about a week before my court date. My current therapist also refused to do an evaluation for the court becausehe wasn't qualified, which was hurting my case. I had to switch therapists to find one who was willing. Another reason was because I'm only in my early 30s, and my lawyers said social security is biased against younger people. It wasn't easy at all.
Oh well, at least it finally went through.
It's such a huge relief to have my own money. It's not a lot, but it's also more than nothing, which is what I had before. I'm excited to finally have some income that can't be taken away because I had a manic episode and had a meltdown at work (I've lost 3 jobs that way). It feels good to finally be able to breathe a little.

This has to be stopped On a 80km/h speed limit, this guy was driving over the speed limit, swerving in the traffic, tailgating and those who didn't give way he was made to sure to swerve around them and check brakes (extremely dangerous and in such traffic high chances of losing control and causing an accident). And yes he did that to me as well. Where I had the sense of leaving two seconds worth of space between me and the next car while driving at 80.
By gaining the privilege of getting a car for which came out of taxpayers money, shouldn't he be more responsible? I wanted to teach him a lesson by provoking him by doing the same to him and then when he got out l, I would have slapped him silly.
My family had the sense of calling me out,"phir us main aur tum main kia fark reh jayega" which was true and stopped me from getting enraged.
But there should be a fix that we can do for these "manchalay" drivers (public at large as well).
Your thoughts on what should be done?

2025.01.24 05:23 DoomedKiblets BEWARE buying Asypr's port of Civ VI to iPad! It is not supported by 2K or Asypr, and Multiplayer cloud play does not function for some (many?) devices.

I bought the game primarily for an on-the-go option and cloud play with friends as it was advertised. As usual, with digital purchases on mobile devices it seems that neither company is still supporting it. Yet, they are dumping their DLC and add-ons still.
You see, there is a bug where the game will not log into 2k accounts for some devices, and while it has been reported, neither 2K or Asypr are addressing it. 2K refuses to address the issue or emails about it, and Aspyr just gave up entirely after claiming they would work with me about the problem... all they did was quote their service manual for rebooting devices.
Terribly unprofessional considering they are still charging full price and advertising this function. Please take care if you consider buying this version.

So I am ignorant to all things computers. I have had a dell about ten years ago and a Chromebook more recently, maybe 3 years old, and it seemed like both got so slow and clunky. I don’t do anything crazy I mainly just use a laptop for writing some reports on a website for work, TurboTax, YouTube, Netflix, and general surfing.
