Hi everyone, I am planning a move from Nord to Proton soon. I still have a while on my Nord plan, but it is what it is. I don’t know if the move will be a smart one, but I just can’t handle Nord anymore I really can’t.
A VPN for me is an everyday essential—I have Nord on auto-connect running on my phone 24/7 and it is a login item on my laptop that auto-connects on startup.
The two most important things to me are speed and privacy when it comes to VPNs. That is what now brought me to Proton. I like its jurisdiction, features, and apparent speed. I have had Nord for the past year and it has increasingly become incredibly inconsistent, especially in the last few months at a rapid pace. The reliability in speed is all over the place with its servers, and the auto-connect just turns on and off on its own as it pleases even if I have a stable connection. I feel like have to cycle through a few recommended serves multiple times before I get to a decent speed one.
Maybe I am crazy. Maybe people here have a different experience with Nord from me, but that is currently what I have been experiencing.
So I am here to ask two questions: (1) How is everyone’s experience here with Proton, and do you think I would enjoy it over my experience with Nord? (2) Does anyone know if I were to buy a one month plan to test Proton and I happened to enjoy it, would the discounted 2-year plan be gone then?

What made me mostly upset about that was the amount of hypocrisy someone must have to get mad at someone saving their friend, but she does literally the same thing, but instead punishes Akira's friend! From my point of view, that's what happened. I could be viewing this completely wrong! If I'm wrong, what's the angle I'm not seeing this from?
Twana seems cool! I think she's honest yet competitive! Perhaps I felt choosing Deeno wasn't great.

So I 19F got into an argument with my suite mate today also 19F. For context I am in college and live with four girls. I share a room with another girl (J) and the other two girls (A and L) share one.
L and I have expressed repeated frustration to the girls about some of their habits. For example L and I make an effort to constantly clean and vacuum and they will spill food all over the kitchen and not clean it up, track in snow, etc. L and I have gone out shopping to get mutual things we all use (like toilet paper, paper towels, dish soap, etc) and J and A never pay us back despite us asking repeatedly. L and I have told them many times very nicely to be more mindful but to no avail. A also expects us to revolve around her like earlier today A asked L if she could make sure all the lights in their room were turned off by 10 because she needs to go to bed at 10, she is a body builder and has made comments on my eating habits, she brought a guy over once who was really rude, he cat called me and spit his gum out on our table. We’ve all talked to her about things like this but nothing has changed. Sorry for the rambling but the point is this has been an ongoing issue.
Today i had a very long day and was about to take a shower literally I had all my things set up I was about to step in and A came in and was like “are you using the shower” I said yes and she told me to hurry up in a shitty tone. In the past when she gets like this I’ve just let her take the shower before me but tonight I was absolutely exhausted and kinda just ignored her but I had forgotten a towel in my room so I ran back to get it, along the way I saw L and made a silly face at her to show I was annoyed with A. Well I guess A saw it because she told me to stop being so immature. I told her the world doesn’t revolve around her and her shower schedule and that I can take as long as I want in the shower because I pay rent here too. She then called me inconsiderate and I don’t know why but a switched flipped inside of me because for months I have been nothing but considerate so trying to reel in my anger I said “you know what A you take the shower then” and she said fine, I was moving to the bathroom to go get my things out of the shower and she slammed the door in my face, so frustrated I open the door and grab my things she tells me to “act like an adult” and I said “you know what A how about your shut the fuck up.” And I just walked out after that. I know I was probably such an asshole for telling her to shut the fuck up but A has been such a problem to live with I think my anger was just building.
I definitely need advice because I don’t know what to do I usually never get this angry. We only have to live with A for a few more months so I don’t need to be her best friend I just want to be cordial.
(PS: sorry if this seems so jumbled together I am still pretty upset and there is a lot of context to this situation )

Was exposed on vacation (drunk stupid mistake) and since December 27th ive dealt with constant tingling in testicles and finger, went and did test (blood) and nothing came back. Im not dumb, i know whats wrong with me. I need to do another test but i have blisters on my pelvis area going down my leg. Intermittent pain in one testicle and its debilitating. Its now January 24th and i began anti virals (2500 per day ancylovir) 3 days ago and if anything.. its worse! They said 2 days to feel better. I met a great girl and i want to sleep with her by valentines day (if possible). She knows i have it and i dont know what to do. Its like pain behind my testicle if feels like. I have like half a good day than BOOM. Pain, tingling and sometimes itchy. Anyone else deal with this? (I am not looking for your screwed and youll deal with it for a year) I want people who figured it out and fixed it. I am taking the ancyclivir, llysine, vitamins and tumoric. I quit drinking, im off work and i dont have a doctor and they are usless in ER. Anyone who could help me.. I need it. I already came to terms with it, it wont define me, but I cannot deal with it every single day. Thank you so much

After some time, they DM'ed me some info and advice and I replied with "oh damn, thank you so much 🥹" and the person sent ":3". End of conversation. I showed that chat to my boyfriend because I wanted him to see it too since there was a lot of useful stuff, but he went quiet and didn't talk to me much for the rest of the evening.
