2025.01.24 05:51 Mlorimer8 Reasonably priced replacement?
Hello all. I have used Harmonys for a long time and love them. It’s getting to the point where they are getting hard to find in good working order and they keep dying. My kids dropping them doesn’t help but I’m working on that too.
Does anyone have a reasonably priced replacement that is worth using? I need multiple activities and of course want to use one remote instead of 5. Nothing super special but complicated enough that a “regular universal” won’t cut it. X

Hey everyone i have some options for some graduate jobs and I'm having a hard time deciding.
Option one - government/public sector
- have always been interested in this kind of work and other opportunities I'm interested in are all in public sector so it would make it easier to access thos opportunities if I did a government grad program
- may require relocation to a different city which would be expensive
- based on reviews, it seems like there isn't always a lot of work for grads to do or it is admin work and opportunities for learning may be limited
- the reviews generally seem very positive about work culture
- probably will have more opportunities for learning
- can't see myself enjoying this kind of work long term but worried if I change my mind in the future it will be harder to get back into it from government
- based on reviews and talking ti people who have worked at these companies can be a toxic work culture with long working hours which really worries me
- there is the potential to work in one of their overseas offices and working overseas is something I really want to do at some stage although I'm not sure how common these opportunities are and if it would just be better to source my own work overseas

I was considering this line from 江城子·乙卯正月二十日夜记梦 by 苏轼 but wanted to get some feedback on how people would interpret it on its own/out of context if they saw it. My translation of it would be something like: even if we met again, we would not recognize each other. Thanks for any help.

Guys LOL I feel crazy for posting this but I got cheated on for 9 months (possibly more) in my 2 year relationship with my ex. It’s been 5 months since I found out, and 3 weeks since I’ve seen him. I just found out he stayed with the girl he cheated on me with and she likes posting things indirecting me or posting him (which I believe she does to hurt me). I stopped stalking both of their social medias to not get upset anymore. However, when I see her name (for instance I was looking at my block list on instagram) I immediately get sick and feel like throwing up. Even the mention or thought of her makes me feel this way. And I just wanna know how can I get rid of this feeling? I want to be able to see her or both of them one day and feel perfectly fine :(

Let's apply meritocracy to elections. You need to pass a basic IQ test to gauge your understanding of basic politics, or something. You need to prove reading comprehension and critical thinking skills. Cleetus with a 3rd grade education does not merit a vote because he can't spell his own damn name.
It's absolutely fucking wild to me what I'm seeing happening in the USA right now. I don't care what side of the political spectrum you lie on, if you are being honest with yourself - you can't be for this shit. The arguments I see people making, I just have to assume they're bots. But they often aren't. These are real people arguing that their own eyes did not see a nazi salute.
Obviously I don't mean any of this seriously but sometimes it crosses my mind.

I noticed that most professional models/bimetal/ high end yo-yo’s use a flat hub, or a spiked hub, Or hubs with a little nipple in the middle like the offset outlier. Why would the pro players not design their yo-yo’s with a finger spin spot. Are finger spin tricks avoided or frowned upon by competitive players? Does having a finger spin hub/ dimple throw off the balance/ performance of a YOYO somehow?

I show sheep with FFA and have won some showmanship competitions but I'm still in my first year with my first sheep so pretty inexperienced and I can't find the answer to this in any google search. My show wether is pretty big (140lbs) and strong, and he has a good solid brace which is normally good considering I'm in Oklahoma and bracing here is a must. However when he braces, he pushes into me so hard that my feet slip, and if I do manage to stand my ground, he arches his back up and seams to break his normally straight spine near the read and again in the mid-back. Everything says to train the sheep not to brace so hard, but nothing tells me exactly how I can do that. What can I do to keep a brace on my lamb without him over-stressing his back like this?
I seriously need some help guys and thank you so much to anyone who answers!

My great grandmother was born in spain and immigrated to mexico in the early 1900s, I know her name and her parents names which is needed by the spanish govt to locate the birth certificate however I am missing the location of her birth. Any tips on how I could figure out where she was born? My grandmother doesn’t know, maybe any documents méxico would have issued to her at the time that would state her place of birth?
