Since last summer, the plant is looking worse and worse, with discoloured leaves and (some of the) stems being a bit soft/droopy. Any ideas what the problem could be? Hi, I’m not sure how to start this off but I was wondering if anyone could/would give me advice. I am 17f and I had to drop out of high school a couple days ago to focus on my job. My mother is having surgery in early June and will be on bed rest for about 3 months not being able to walk or move; I dropped out of high school to get more hours at work, be able to get my GED, I have to learn how to drive, save up money from my job for rent and other necessities. I have 3 brothers (1 older and 2 younger) my older brother is bad at his finances and my younger brothers can’t work yet Everyone that I’ve told this to has felt pity for me or has told me "it sucks". My father is out of picture and I have the mentality that I don’t need anyone else. So if anyone can tell me how to get through this because I’m scared. Thank you

I’m 19 and feeling kind of stuck. For the last 4 years, I’ve been doing lawn care and managed to save up $50k. I don’t have a truck right now, but I’d like to get one so I can have reliable transportation. I want to get my own place eventually, but I know I don’t want to do lawn care forever.
I enjoy working on mechanical stuff, like fixing my mower or working on my motorcycle when it breaks down, but beyond that, I don’t really know what direction to take. I feel like I’m in a decent spot with my savings, but I don’t want to mess it up and make the wrong move.
For anyone who’s been in a similar place or just has some solid advice—what should I do next? What kind of jobs or career paths would you recommend for someone like me?

2025.01.24 06:49 i-the-muso-1968 "The Peripheral" by William Gibson.
So finished up on Gibson's "The Peripheral" tonight. This is the first book of a new trilogy he's been working on called The Jackpot. And it has been a long while since I've read anything by him.
So in the first book we follow three characters the Fisher siblings, Flynne and Burton and Wilf Netherton. Two live in a near future America, while the other lives in London in the far future.
Flynne fisher witnesses a murder in what was supposed to be prototype game, and both her's and Wilf's worlds soon intersects leading to some enormous changes.
Now this is a pretty tense scifi thriller, with chapters that jump between the near and far futures, and can sometimes get pretty trippy in places. Which for me is perfect!
So this is a pretty good first book in this new trilogy. The second, "Agency" has been out for a while now and might pick that one up in the near future. Third one hasn't been released yet, but I'll most likely pick up a copy once it is! I've read a couple books from Gibson's Sprawl trilogy, which the first and third books "Neromancer" and "Mona Lisa Overdrive". Still have to get the second, "Count Zero".
