I hope you're having a great day. I have a question: I recently bought Seagate BarraCuda Computer 2TB drives for my NAS, where they are intended to serve as backup storage. Currently, they run all day, but backups are scheduled only once a day at 2 AM.
Would it be advisable to stop the drives when they're not in use?
I've read on this subreddit that it's not ideal to frequently start and stop drives, but this advice might apply more to NAS-specific drives. I'm wondering if the same applies to my case, especially if the drives are started and stopped multiple times a day.
What would you recommend?

Hallo zusammen, ich habe ein blödes Problem mit unserer Nebenkostenabrechnung für 2023. Wir sind zum 01.06.2023 in ein Mietshaus gezogen. Der Vermieter und zwei weitere Mieter wohnen in einem Mehrfamilienhaus nebenan. Unser Keller ist in dem Mehrfamilienhaus. Wir haben im Juni 2024 unsere Nebenkostenabrechnung für 2023 bekommen. Aus privaten Gründen war ich gedanklich nicht ganz anwesend und habe die sich ergebende Nachzahlung (360 Euro) einfach gezahlt. Unsere Nebenkosten wurden von 70 auf 140 Euro erhöht, das war für mich so okay.
Jetzt habe ich weil ich was gesucht habe, nochmal in die Abrechnung reingeschaut. Und die ist teilweise falsch. Zum einen wurde bei uns fürs ganze Jahr abgerechnet (zb. Müll, volle 127 Euro statt nur für die 7 Monate). Aber er hat bei uns auch die Wartung für die Gastherme aus dem Mehrfamilienhaus mit drauf gerechnet. Mit der haben wir gar nichts zu tun, da unsere Heizung über Strom läuft. Und falls es doch berechtigt wäre weil wir dort den Keller nutzen, wurde unser Anteil trotzdem auch für das ganze Jahr und nicht nur für 7 Monate berechnet.
Kann ich da jetzt noch was machen? Oder habe ich mit der Zahlung quasi die falsche Abrechnung akzeptiert? Ich mag unseren Vermieter und will eigentlich kein Fass aufmachen aber es ärgert mich wahnsinnig.

I recently remembered due to being told about the chances of Chimerism and losing your twin.
My mom didn’t know she was pregnant and miscarried at 6 weeks and was still bleeding so she went to the doctor two weeks later and found out about me at 8 weeks.
When she physically miscarried my twin she has described as seeing something roughly the size of her fist aka probably the embryo/fetus of my twin lol even though it was never confirmed by a doctor which makes me wonder even though her body physically expelled my twin, is there a good chance I could have absorbed some of them?
I can’t really find much about this and it seems rare because usually the twin is absorbed not with the mother body expelling it so I keep coming across vanishing twin syndrome and not an actual name for this, so I was wondering if it was still possible to have some of its DNA? I’d love to eventually get a test to see if I have two sets of DNA but would also love to pick the brains of Reddit to see opinions of the chances of me possibly having some of its DNA
