My mom has Alzheimer's (undiagnosed, but her symptoms are quite clear) and my dad took care of her until recently. He could not cope well and they ended up fighting a lot. He then became very sick and was in the hospital for two months for a heart surgery and a stroke.
During the time when my dad was in the hospital, my sibling and me took care of her in turns, but she is difficult and aggressive. We found she seemed to be best in her home, in other places like my sibling's house she was thrown off her routine and more irritable.
However, my dad decided to leave the hospital despite not being his before self, so he is in a wheelchair and needs care now. My mom took care for him for a week and it was of course a disaster, since she forgot every day why he didn't sleep in their common bed (it's upstairs) and why he was "too lazy" to feed himself and to get up. so we hired a live in care and my mom at first accepted them. But on the second day, she told the caregiver to leave her house and attacked my dad.
My mom's primary care doctor is quite incompetent and only now started prescribing meds but we fear she will never adjust to this situation. so we decided to take her out into a home for short term. It sucks because she was doing best in her home and she was quite independent with daily tasks. But now that my dad is different and a stranger in the house she was mad every day with several physical attacks towards my dad.
I'm not sure what I am looking for here. I'm just hoping she will be able to adjust somewhat to a care facility although she is still very aware.

Hallo zusammen,
ich habe vor etwa einem Jahr einen Backofen gekauft. Dieser musste wegen eines Materialfehlers ausgetauscht werden.
Es wurde mir vom Hersteller ein "Gleichwertiges Modell" als Ersatz angeboten, da das ursprüngliche Gerät nicht mehr verfügbar sei. Die Modellnummer wurde mir vorab genannt und ich sollte das Angebot prüfen, da der Funktionsumfang ggf. unterschiedlich ist.
Die Modellnummern sind meiner Meinung nach eh ein riesen Durcheinander bei dem Hersteller. Bei dem Wort "gleichwertig" gehe ich davon aus, dass manche Funktionen besser sind und manche Funktionen schlechter sind als vorher.
Ich hatte die Modellnummer und hätte 1:1 vergleichen können, bin die Produktseite aber nur überflogen, da das Gerät an sich identisch aussah, habe ich zugestimmt.
Der neue Backofen kam an und ich stellte sofort fest, dass der Teleskopauszug fehlte, der vorher vorhanden war. Der Support des Herstellers stellt sich nun quer und sagt, dass ich hätte mich ja informieren können und die Modellnummer hatte.
Das stimmt zwar und geht auch auf meine Kappe, aber ich habe die Modelle nun einmal verglichen und es gibt keinen Punkt, in dem der neue Backofen besser ist. Es gibt lediglich Verschlechterungen. Ich finde es eine Frechheit hier von einem "gleichwertigen" Modell zu sprechen. Und hätte es vorher geheißen, dass das Modell auch schlechter sein kann, dann hätte ich selbst verständlich genauer geschaut, ob zumindest alle Funktionen vorhanden sind, die mir wichtig sind.
Der Teleskopauszug war ein wichtiger Grund, warum wir uns für dieses Gerät entschieden haben. Ja, ich habe es verbockt, aber dieser Teleskopauszug macht etwas mehr als 20% des Wertes dieses Backofens aus.
Keine Chance beim Hersteller auf Kulanz. Er wird darauf beharrt, dass ich mich hätte informieren müssen und jetzt Pech habe.
Ist es so rechtens ein "gleichwertiges" Modell als solches anzubieten, wenn es in der Tat ein Gerät ist, das dem alten entspricht und lediglich Funktionen fehlen?
Es kommt mir so vor, als wenn der Hersteller darauf Pokert, dass man die Produktseiten nicht 1:1 nebeneinander legt und so indirekt für die Kosten des Austauschs aufkommt. Vorrangig stört mich das Wort "Gleichwertig", wenn es in meinen Augen nicht gleichwertig ist.
Oder liege ich hier komplett falsch?
