2025.01.24 09:40 Octo-Diver Card reading about insurance claim.
Backstory: Iv'e been thinking about making an insurance claim for symptoms of an accident ive had. But the more i engage with it, there i feel like the symptoms get worse. Its like im making it more of a reality the more i "milk" it, instead of just letting go.
So i did a 3 card spread (past - present - future) but with the present as the price i will have to pay to make the claim.
Id really like some input.
Past - 8 of wands: Suggests a sense of urgency, of thinks moving quickly, which aligns with how the whole situation is starting to play out. Ive been trying to hold it off, and time is running out.
Present (price for making the claim) - 4 of wands: This has me some somewhat confused. Are the cards saying that there is no price, its just celebration. Or are they saying im about to loose my sense of community and coming together? My fear is telling me its the latter.
Future - 5 of pentacles reversed: This seems like a rather good outcome, it suggests the opposite of sickness. Of moving towards healing. And it aligns with the non fearful interpretation of 4 of wands. However, my fear from 4 of wands still hold firm.
Conclusion: Overall if the middle card hadnt been attached to the question of "what price will i have to pay" and it would just be a regular present. The Cards seem to tell a story of quick decisions culminating into a big "win" and a future of healing. However if the price i will have to pay is actually a loss of celebration and unity. Then its a different story all together, and i dont know if it will be worth it.

2025.01.24 09:40 vexargames My favorite restaurant in College Station after 2 years of living here. What is yours?

This restaurant is on par with San Francisco and Los Angles for both sushi and Chinese food. The people that run it are awesome, and I love going to this place but I am stuck in a rut I almost never go anywhere else because I can always find something new to try or get my favorite 4 dishes. I was going 3 or 4 times a week but now I only allow myself to go once every 2 weeks.
Salata is my place for salads, and with the goal of losing weight I started eating only one salad (Cobb) no dressing from Chic-Filet per day over a year ago. I lost 85 pounds so I am getting close to the goal and want to make every cheat day (Sunday) meal count.
I think I have tried like 100 restaurants around town even the higher end ones and I honestly rather go to Chilies for a burger, or Grub, or HopDoddy. Of course I can only eat burgers once a month now, and I get to eat pizza on Super Bowl Sunday once a year.
I keep looking for new places to try what is your favorite?

2025.01.24 09:40 ThyIronFist Day/night cycle and timescale is atrocious
Overall I am enjoying the game but MY GOD do the days fly by. I am at day 100 and I'm still in the Lower Deeps just having built a base here.
Wake up, eat breakfast, get the buffs - it is noon now. Go and explore for a tiny bit whilst attempting to get to your destination - aaand... it is night now. I am genuinely surprised I could only find a select few posts about this issue and I hate that there is seemingly no way to tweak the in-game time or even the duration of buffs. You've got all these sliders to tweak the difficulty, sieges, loot drops and so forth but no slider to tweak in-game time so it doesn't feel like 5 irl minutes = 1 in-game day. It's absurd.
By the time you get anywhere after taking some buffs, the buffs have run out, thus defeating the entire purpose of them in the first place.

I've seen a few posts lately saying this sub is "too negative," and honestly, thatās so not it. Like, I get it, adulthood isnāt all bad, but the whole āIām leaving this sub because people complain too muchā kinda posts are just...ugh.
Being an adult is hard. Paying bills, managing responsibilities, trying to live up to societyās expectations...itās a lot. Whatās wrong with people venting about that? Most of us already feel like we canāt complain in real life without being told to āsuck it upā or āstop whining.ā This sub is supposed to be a space where we can actually talk about it without getting judged. People come here to talk about how tough adulthood can be, not to act like everythingās perfect.
If someone doesnāt like it, they can just leave quietly instead of making it a whole thing. Let people share what theyāre going through, itās not negativity, itās just real life. SMH

2025.01.24 09:40 Duelist42 Duality of the For Honor Community
I met 2 players in duels yesterday who were using the text chat just like me.
In this situation I always like to start the match by saying "good luck, have fun!" But the first player immediately starts complaining at the end of round 1 about how could I possibly say that when I'm playing Gryphon and apparently using too many lights and bashes. My Gryphon wasn't even rep 1 so I was still trying to learn him, but he didn't care. Said I should play like a human. Well he didn't dodge or parry a single attack but he kept complaining the whole match and told me to off myself at the end after he lost and left.
Then the 2nd player initially didn't say anything but was honorable and saying good fight every match, we kept rematching (probably like 15 times) and he was losing to me at first but instead of complaining he adapted and learned how to use his character against me, and ended up winning most of the matches by the end. Then he told me how nice the games were and we added each other so we could hopefully play again another day.
For people like that first player, please stop taking this game so seriously. If not for everyone else's sake, then for your own. Especially against new players, you can't just expect someone new to the game and to the character they're playing to play a certain way (though I suspect all he really wanted was for me to eat all his attacks so he could win), and if someone seems to be spamming it's not always intentional.
For people like the second player, thank you for being who you are and not giving in to the toxicity and insanity, you are the kind of people who make me keep playing with the hope that I'm going to face someone really cool who won't judge me for how I play and that I can learn a thing or two from.

let's say I am trying to murder someone but he's near some fire so instead of Amicia shooting a normal rock she throws the fire extinguisher one, it's been happening from the start and it's getting pretty annoying honestly.
So far the game is freaking awesome but due to the frequency of this feature or bug I don't think I'll finish the game.

This is very emotionally driven tbh
I ditched my last project because I just wasn't vibing with the style...
This all starred because I wanted to draw a pearl but I didn't want to draw just a pearl so I started to draw a head and then it kept evolving and now it's sad blue lady who represents my feelings
I struggled a lot with deciding a hair color and so I took screenshots of each color and eventually was like.... "BLUE!" and then I wanted the tape to be red but was like "ew that's an eyesore.... WHITE!" and then I was like "what the hell is wrong with me... I can't use white on this.... LIGHT BLUE!" So she's basically just been put through a blue filter.
While this work represents a specific feeling for me, I hope somebody sees this and feels the same.
Anyway, I just want to know how to improve. Also, I don't mind the comments that say negative things because that's how criticism works. The only problem is when you just say "THIS IS HORRIBLE!" and don't suggest improvements or state a reason why you think that way. That kind of behavior is just pointless and really annoying.
In other words, troll comments are the only ones that'll bug me lol
Im working on a version without the tape but uhh... I can't draw a mouth it's just not working out too well
Im also thinking of adding a headband or something
