So my artist has started giving out packets of organic extra virgin olive oil in her care kits. At first I thought it was really weird and just stuck with my usual aquaphor, but I just tried it with my most recent tattoo and I actually really like it. It rubs in nicely, it feels light on the skin, it keeps it hydrated without being over saturated and it smells pretty nice. I was wondering if anyone else has tried it and what their thoughts were?

2025.01.24 09:42 NvSkyline Mid ROS: Drop McNeil now or not
Been holding onto McNeil in a 10man H2H sitting second, but his return date has repeatably been delayed( a lot closer now it seems).
My other mids are: Mbuemo, KDB, Maddison, and Martinelli.
Think kluivert is solid but would hate to see McNeil pop off once he’s back in with Moyes’ Everton who seem to have revived themselves going forward. Knee injuries are tough too.

2025.01.24 09:42 gianticedwarf What would giving birth in less/zero gravity environment actually look like?
I know, silly question - but hear me out :)
I am not a scientist and do not know if it would even be possible - or even plausible - so hoping for some input from some clever heads in here :)
I am a big fan of sci-fi; books, movies tv-shows and whatnot - and there is a lot of varied "scientific" approaches to the effects of giving birth away from the planet earth; in space, on other planets and in orbit etc ... as we have never actually done this, some of them sound more plausible than others..
I have given birth 3 times myself (here on planet earth ofc 🤣) - the first 2 were excruciatingly painful (as any mother knows). The third birth I gave, was in water - and it was so relieving .. none of the pressure-pain putting down on the pelvis region made the birth feel way easier, and the labor was "like a breeze" compared to the first 2.. although there ofc still was pain...
I know that gravity is still a factor in water as it is on land, and it is due the the boyancy-force or something, that it does not have the same effect (correct me if I'm wrong). So it might not even be comparable, but ...
All of this has had me wondering for a while now; since we as species have the lowest succesrate of giving birth on this planet, compared to other mammals (not factoring in how we overcome most of the issues with modern medicine), what would it actually look like, if we gave birth in an environment with less or no gravity? What would the effects be on the mothers labor and what would the effects be on the childs health?
This is all just curiosity and wondering, and I have no scientific data to actually "build" this "theory" on ... probably just my ADHD-brain over-analyzing and going into overdrive - but I would still love to hear other peoples take on this :)

Hi reddit, I am a current Marie Curie Individual Postdoc fellow approaching the end of the grant and need advice on how strict the EU looks at the overlap between the original proposal and the final output in the final report. I am at a university in an underrepresented country that has no previous experience on msca grants and my grant (and another fellow who started at the same time) has been very mismanaged. We are anthropologists (so final results are up to the circumstances of fieldwork) and we have had three different administrators (the last one quit suddently without briefing anyone about our grants). Now we are being told that if we don't produce everything exactly like we wrote in our grant written three years ago that the EU will not pay the university (and us) the final payment. Is this realistic or hyperbole to motivate us? How serious are any deviations from the original proposal? Any experience with the final report evaluation? Thank you!

We’re coming from the UK in October (with a 4yo and 18 month old), and have booked 7 nights at the grand Floridian
We’re now arriving one day earlier than planned, so wanted to book an extra nights stay but weren’t sure where to book. We won’t arrive until about 6pm. Currently torn between
A- booking an extra night at the grand Floridian. We can’t adjust our booking (because we booked with the free dining plan offer and will lose that if we do), so I’m guessing we will have to move rooms within the same hotel B- booking a cheaper hotel for the first night, but then it’ll be annoying to move luggage on our first day when we will want to be in the parks
Any advice? If we stay elsewhere what would you recommend?

I believe I witnessed a dodgy bloke steal an expensive e-bike from around the Belmore Basin. The bike looked like one of those dirodi rovers (super expensive). I actually saw where the bloke lives and took the bike (housing commission). I've made a police report but figured if anyone knows anyone who had their bike stolen I could let them know what happened. Happened Wednesday around 6-6.30pm.

i'm 23 and i just started my undergrad program a few weeks ago. nowhere near the university i wanted to be in or any of my friends are in. i wasted so much time in high school and didn't take anything seriously (including my studies) and ended up with grades so shit no university would take me and on top of that, i didn't have the money to redo any of my exams. so now i'm here and i feel like there's not much to expect from life anymore. where i'm from (and i'm sure a most other places in the world), the institution you go to kinda sets your life up for either success or failure. and i can't stop feeling like it's only downhill from here. all of my friends have either finished college from well known institutions and are married/settled down by now. and i'm only starting. my parents have been separated for almost 10 years now and the emotional and financial stress is basically killing us. and i feel guilty as fuck because i'm just sitting here useless because i can't get a good enough job until i have a degree and based on the uni i'm attending, i don't know if i'll ever land a good enough job to help out at home i can't stop feeling ashamed of myself for wasting those crucial years of my life and i donmt know where to go from here. i'm just going through the motions waiting for everything to end rn. i feel like i wasted the only chance at life i had and i feel incredibly lost, guilty and ashamed. i don't know what to do.
