Every now and then I remember this shit my APs would pull on me and I get really fucking mad so I decided to rant about it here.
So meals were always self-serve. I would get my own bowl of rice and then take food from the dishes in the middle of the table. I would only take the amount that I could finish. Then my APs would pull the classic "eat more" and shove more food into my bowl. I had a small appetite and physically could not finish all of the food in my bowl. Then they would scream at me, berating me for being wasteful and ungrateful because of a problem that THEY CAUSED.
I would just sit there sobbing while they hurled insults at me. I would get a whole speech about how they worked so hard to put food on the table and I didn't appreciate it, which made me extremely guilty. And this would happen multiple times. I tried so hard to finish everything they gave me and they already knew I had a small appetite. So I didn't understand why they weren't putting two and two together and realizing that I wasn't being a spoiled brat, I was just so full that I physically couldn't eat anymore.
I couldn't talk back to them back then, but some part of me thought that if I could explain that I wasn't doing it on purpose they would stop yelling at me. But now I see that they had a lot of stress at the time because of work and would take it out on me while hiding behind plausible excuses. And food waste is a very good excuse, since it's one of the biggest sins in Asian culture. So for a long time I really believed that I was a selfish, ungrateful piece of shit like they told me I was. It took a long time for me to see that it was just one-sided bullying by shitty adults against a child that could not fight back.
When I had to eat with them I started taking only 1/2 to 1/4 of what I would normally eat or hiding food in my mouth to spit out later in the toilet. So ironically I was wasting food to avoid being yelled at about wasting food. I dreaded dinnertime and associated meals with emotions of anger, confusion, resentment, and hurt.
I had problems with food and self-worth because of them. I used to skip meals because I thought I didn't deserve to eat, then cave when I couldn't stand the hunger, then feel guilty for eating, and then repeat this process over and over again. I would avoid buying fresh vegetables because I remember my AM yelling at me when vegetables in the fridge went bad after not being eaten, even though my APs are the ones who control what groceries are bought and what is being cooked, but she still decided it was my fault of course. There was a period of time where I was living off of one packet of ramen a day, not because I was poor or lazy, but because I felt like I was undeserving of real home cooked meals or multiple meals a day. I'm doing better now and actually cooking, but I still get a twinge of fear when I see that there are leftovers. But then I just saran wrap it and move on with my day like my APs should have done.

I don't know the solution where my mom is being positively positive and discussing future with him. Nu am văzut pe nicăieri în spaţiul românesc de lectură vorbind despre acest magazin, deci am hotărât eu să fiu persoana ce le face reclamă neplătită.
Nu sunt bot, nu sunt plătită, nu sunt angajat, nu câştig nimic din această postare. Doar am avut o experienţă bună şi o împărtăşesc.
Am zic chiar pe sub-ul ăsta că căutam o copie la The Portable Faulkner care costă undeva 150 lei + shipping aici dacă o au cineva. Nu am avut norocul s-o găsesc aici, pe libristo mi-au închis comanda şi books-express de asemenea.
Pe worldofbooks mi-am luat ţeapă 30 de lei, a fost pierdută de Royal Mail prin vamă, mi-au trimis o altă copie, nici aia nu a ajuns.
Am renunţat până pe un subreddit unguresc random am văzut o recomandare ca Bookline, un anticariat din Budapesta, trimite în Slovacia şi România. Desigur, dăcă scriu această postare, aveau două copii în stoc.
Interfaţa site-ului este în maghiară, dar inteligibilă cu translate. Timpul de procesare pentru România este de 8 zile, dar am cartea la mine în 4 (Schenghen!!!). Livrează prin Packeta sau GLS, acasă. Preţul este cam scump la 40-60 de lei, dar văzând că preţurile pentru titluri în engleză pot ajunge la 20/30% diferenţă comparativ cu Târgul Cărţii sau printrecărți, am dat 90 de lei pe tot.
Colecţia lor are atât titluri vechi anticariat cât şi titluri noi la prea standard în maghiară sau engleză, văd că au şi o chestii tip audiobook lending dar nu am explorat. Poṭi pentru același titlu să vezi cu un buton toate tipările, limbile şi formatele (ceea ce este imposibil la Tg Cărții unde Dostoievski, Dostoevschi şi Dostoyevskiy sunt oameni diferiți).
Recomand cu căldură dacă aveţi nevoie de cărţi de specialitate şi puteţi inghiţi costul livrării, la bookline alegerea este bună.

Hello,
I have a new neighbor who moved in about 6 months ago and since then they have renovations almost every week!!!
I didn’t encounter such kind of people in my life. I’m in my third year of contract in the same flat. And the security of the building and cleanliness is very good. But the problem is the neighbors are starting drilling our wall from their 2 days a week at least and it takes about 2-3 hours long each day!
And that’s about 1-4PM usually when is my rest time from work and then I start my second shift. So already annoyed with them and even once they started drilling 12AM! And finished 2AM on a Sunday night. Which security came 3 times to their flat and the third time security escorted the renovation group out of the building totally as all the tenants above and below the floor had complained.
So really can’t figure out what to do with them! I understand they do it during the day but this is inconvenient for anyone to have heavy drilling all the time!
Let me know what’s your opinion on this and what can be done! Thanks 🙏
