Le sujet était un peu plus en vogue il y a une dizaine d'années, mais ça n'a jamais vraiment percé dans le discours public ici, et j'avais moi-même oublié le concept avant le poteau plus tôt cette semaine Mon gars viens d'avoir 15 ans pis sa blonde est enceinte.
Grossièrement, un "avortement de papier" donnerait au géniteur l'option de se dissocier de l'enfant à naître, devenant à toutes fins pratiques "pas le père". Il y a des endroits dans le monde où ça s'est discuté (wiki anglais), mais à ce que je sache ça ne s'est pas encore fait nul part.
Après la conception, il y a normalement trois choix possibles: 1. mener à terme, 2. avorter, ou 3. donner en adoption. Nos sociétés ont déterminées (et je suis d'accord) que seule la mère peut décider des choix 1 et 2 car il s'agit de son propre corps, et l'option 3 n'est pas sur la table si la mère veut le garder. De son côté, le père n'a aucun choix unilatéral possible, ni pour avoir l'enfant, ni pour ne pas l'avoir. S'il ne veut pas l'enfant, ses seuls options sont: a. d'accepter son sort (avec garde ou avec pension), b. d'adopter la mentalité "elle ne peut pas me prendre une pension si j'ai pas d'argent", et c. faire pression sur la mère pour la faire changer d'avis. Cette dernière option peut se limiter à une argumentation du genre "penses à tes études!", mais ça peut aussi devenir vraiment dark...
L'avortement de papier donne une option unilatéral officielle au père: si la mère choisi de mener à terme, le père le "donne en adoption" à la mère. Ça règle tout, right? Non. Premièrement, par rapport au status quo, ça met une pression financière additionnelle sur la mère. Mais on n'a pas besoins d'aller dans ce genre de directions pour trouver des problèmes.
Quand une femme enceinte avorte, elle ne rencontrera jamais son enfant dans le futur; un géniteur qui a fait un "avortement de papier" n'a aucune telle garantie. On peut essayer de rendre ça moins "rough" en changeant le nom "avortement de papier" pour "demi-adoption" ou quelque chose du genre, mais il reste que le père et l'enfant vont probablement continuer à vivre dans le même petit secteur, où la mère et le père se sont rencontrés. C'est une autre différence majeure avec l'adoption standard: l'enfant est normalement transplanté dans un autre milieu.
Je suis certain que, si on creuse un petit peu, on peut trouver une multitude de détails problématiques comme ça. Dans un monde parfait, la société devrait avoir une discussion où ces détails sont identifiés, des solutions sont proposées, et un compromis peut être fait (incluant l'option de ne rien faire, mais en connaissance de cause). Mais ma prédiction personnelle c'est que, pour un sujet du genre, ça n'arrivera pas de mon vivant. Si le sujet vient à percer dans la sphère publique, ceux qui vont défendre l'idée le plus ardemment vont l'associer à d'autres idées qui répugnent (probablement avec raison) le reste de la société. À terme, la mention même qu'il y a peut-être un problème de fond à régler (i.e., les garçons n'ont pas d'options de sortie) va devenir verboten.

In one of the final interviews before Path of Exile 2’s release, Jonathan announced that guilds from PoE1 won’t carry over, nor will guild purchases. This alone is frustrating, considering we’ve spent hundreds of dollars on our guild in PoE1—but fine, I can (begrudgingly) accept that.
What’s really bothering me is that this is now the third stash tab sale since PoE2 launched, and the waypoint tab is still unavailable. Yeah, I know, "ASAP." But let’s say it drops next Tuesday—does that mean I have to wait another three weeks to buy it on sale for my guild? And even if I wanted to buy it in PoE1 and transfer it over, that’s not even an option, since guilds aren’t connected across the two games.
Considering all the hype around the game, our guild has been way more active in PoE2 than we ever were in PoE1. A map tab would be infinitely more useful now. Or should I just spend our funds on quad tabs and let us store maps there randomly and inefficiently? That solution doesn’t exactly sit well with my ADHD, and it’s far less intuitive, especially for newer players in the guild.
Are there any plans to address this? Or is this just how things are going to be?
