I found this topic interesting. A Youtuber from England (a natvie speaker of BrE) teaches how to ask for water in a restaurant. The sentences he used were "Can I get a water" (he mentioned this is AmE), "Please can I have a water" (BrE), and "Please could I get a water" (BrE). Hi everyone, I'm new here and have no idea what terminology to use but I'm hoping to get some advice on what projector to buy.
I'm an amateur astronomer and I take my scope out sometimes to events to show people the planets and moon (when it's not cloudy that is, I'm in the UK)
The problem is I invite people to have a look through the eyepiece but I can only do that one at a time, they often jog the scope which means I have to realign it, and what I'm watching often slips out of view.
I have a Svbony SV 205 telescope eyepiece camera, connected to an elderly HP pavillion small laptop (from about 2018) with HDMI port for a projector. I'd ideally like to find a projector that I can use out in the countryside to project on the side of a barn or something at astronomy parties. Then everyone there can see a lot clearer and I can make sure it's a good view and focus. Someone must have done this before.
Main points are:
- Budget- up to £500
- It's going to be very dark where I'm going, so brightness isn't a priority
- However stars are small, especially something like a globular cluster, so decent definition and contrast would be nice especially for the cloud bands on Jupiter and rings of Saturn, the telescope pulls a decent mount of light in, but you're still squeezing everything you can out of very few photons
- I'm aware that getting the image from the Svbony to the projector involves a few data bottlenecks, so no point buying better definition than I'll get through the data connection cables
- No mains power out in a field, portable and batteries only (I have a power block though)
- Any software recommendations for the laptop to handle the flow with? I'm currently grabbing images through sharpcap
- I don't need any extra features, no speakers or software, maybe a Bluetooth connection to my Android phone
- I know a good screen will help a lot, I'll invest in one in due course
- It doesn't even need to throw a long distance or have a big display size

I recently traveled to India (240V) and had to use one of those Amazon International adaptors. They were so loose-fitting that I had to tape or prop them up to keep them in place. Ironically, all my power adapters would work perfectly over the whole volt range (110-240V). So, can I install the 110V US sockets in place of the local 240V ones and be able to connect the appropriate power adapters?

My truck couldn't handle the snowy hills of Northwest Arkansas. I got new wheels and tires. I got 15" rims from a 2000 Nissan Frontier with 215/75/15 all terrain tires, which feel great. Hei! Jeg var nettopp hos en tannlege for første gang på 2-3 år. Tennene var fine sa hun, bare 1 hull. Det skulle borres, og fylles inn to steder. Men her er greia. Denne tannlegen klarte å komme borti leppa mi hele to ganger med en sånn pussemaskin. Andre gangen gjorde det ganske vondt, og jeg har fått et rødt merke/lite sår av det. Svir litt i etterkant. Jeg har litt tannelegeskrekk fra da jeg var mindre, og prøver å finne en god tannlege som kan bli en fast en for meg. Hvis dette hadde skjedd på besøk hos tannlege for din egen del, hadde det vært en dealbreaker? Nå skal det sies at jeg faktisk ikke rykket til/rørte på meg under timen, så tror ikke feilen ligger hos meg. Ellers så var tannlegen veldig hyggelig. Hadde stressball tilgengelig og alt (noe jeg takket nei takk til- det er sprøytene som er skummelt hehe.)

I have a white cat (Artemis) and he has heterochromia, with one blue eye and one green, and I've noticed that his blue eyes pupil is slightly larger than his green one.
It's not a huge difference, but I was just wondering if it's cos the blue eye is more sensitive than the green one? It's been this way for as long as I can remember, and he's never had any issues, so I don't think it's anything bad.

Hey all! Looking for some recommendations for a new mixeaudio interface/vocal processor with efx. I have 2 Mics (one compressor phantom powered mic, and once that's USB powered), a Maschine MK3, and an RC-505 MKII. I also have a couple external hardware synths I'd like to run through it as well, and be able to record multiple tracks at the same time with everything and route it into my DAW, FL Studio, to record and then fine tune from there putting the track arrangement together etc. From what I have been reading is a digital mixer is the way to go but there's so many out there I don't know what direction to head in. I've been using the RC-505 as audio interface but I'm always getting some sort of feed back from something, but could be from a mix of decent to cheap audio cables. I'd like to stay under the $600.00 range unless something is worth the investment in the long run then I might be able to make it work budget wise. Any advice or recommendations will be greatly appreciated!

It just happened today that my headphones don’t work properly on my iphone. It even shows that i am connected to the phone through bluetooth and the jbl app, but whenever i play a song off spotify, it instantly pauses, and there is no sound on any other audio either. Anyone know a fix for this?
