I've been indecisive my whole life. I'm trying to be better, but it's hard lol
My partner (29M) and I (29F) are a Japanese-Filipino couple living in Japan. He's half-Filipino and we met back in college in the Philippines. Got engaged last September after 7 years together, and we just registered our marriage here in Japan on 12/12/24 (ganda ng date eh hahaha)
Ever since getting engaged my sisters have been bugging me to start wedding planning (not in an annoying way!) but as a procrastinator and indecisive girlie who's living abroad trying to plan a wedding in Manila... it is HARD.
At least I've got the venue sorted - already sent the downpayment for our garden wedding in Dec 2025! But... that's literally it lol. I've downloaded so many wedding planning checklists but I'm just getting stunlocked. My partner's doing his part (I tell him what to do, he does it xD) so I'm not totally alone in this. And my sisters are such a big help - one did the ocular of our target venues, while my other sister (who's also abroad) has been researching possible motifs and stuff.
I also considered just hiring a full wedding coordinator, but their fees range from 120k to 150k pesos. I feel like I should just DIY and spend that money elsewhere (I know they would be a big help especially since I'm out of the country, but idk)
Today, I reached out to the MUA I wanted (who was also the wedding MUA for two of my friends and one acquaintance) but she was already booked for our date. I felt so defeated and worried that all other vendors I want to contact might already be booked. And I don't even have a concrete vendor checklist yet! I'm feeling sooo overwhelmed.
I created a Notion page earlier and decided to add a countdown widget... which then showed me that there's only 10 months left before the wedding. Here I was thinking I still had at least a year for planning LMAO how time flies 💀
Was planning a December 2025 wedding the wrong choice? T_T My dream was to get married in Caleruega Church, but we just don't have the bandwidth to prepare for all the shenanigans a church wedding requires right now. Then I wanted a different venue, but I settled on our second choice (which is actually my partner's first choice). My partner told me not to worry about the price if I reaaally want the other venue, but as the daughter of an Ilocana, I can't justify spending THAT much just for the venue alone!

2025.01.24 14:52 FlushedButterfly How do I get over not being able to sleep well because I can't get over being too sentence of the idea of being touched via my armpit?
When I was younger a guy who was bullying me at the time had tickled my armpit to make ne feel uncomfortable and since then I've been able to really make him sleep the way I want to.
Since everytime I sleep with my armpit not covered I instantly get reminded of that feeling.

Freshmen students need too much validation and spoonfeeding. As a senior na naging freshie din, one thing I've noticed is how most of them are by terms, want the entire university to form to their own wants.
Nag-uusap usap kami ng friends ko, all of us ranging from freshmen to seniors. Since magkakaibang school kami, iba-iba system namin. One freshie from us brought up, "minsan nakakahiya mga freshie kasama namin. Napakaraming reklamo kahit andyan na sagot."
Which led us to this silence. Are Freshies now incompetent?
When we decided to do continue that discussion, nabring up na karamihan ng freshie laging may reklamo. Some intervened na pinagdaanan din namin iyon until came the questions "Paano enrollment" "Hm tuition" "Are my grades passing". That's when we collectively agreed na totoo ito at kahit ang mismong mga freshie friends namin umamin din.
Some may chalk it to anxiety dahil baguhan lang, but us seniors are honestly tired kapag napaghahalataan na majority ng freshies are incompetent in a basic skill kung saan sure kaming never naming narinig na reklamo sa mga naunang seniors namin. Ang pag-utilize ng search option sa Facebook, school website, google, gdrives, pag-intindi sa school system na nasa handbook o minsan tinuturo na orientation pa lang. Ang laging rason? "bakit ba kayo laging galit saming mga freshies, napagdaanan niyo rin ito"
Sad to say we didn't experience that level of incompetence and irresponsibility. Matatanggap pa namin kapag ang tanong is assurance or asking advice regarding conceptual things such as "Is Medtech good for a med course" ganun kasi open-ended, pero for things na may concrete announcements lalo na regarding grades and school system nakakairita na.
Gusto kong depensahan ang mga Freshies, literal na gaslight na "Pinagdaanan ko rin ito". Pero my god iba na pala pag nakaranas ka ng interaction na ganun

Since day hike lang yung plan, - ano yung beginner friendly na challenging ng konti na worth it? (hindi scam) - pano kayo nagpapa kondisyon before the hike? like us na meron pang months to prepare (since we're not that much active) - ano yung basic na need na dalhin sa backpack? And isuot since summer yung plan (April-May) - any brands and where to buy din na quality but affordable (except sa Decathlon and Brown Trekker, para more choices to choose from)

I inherited a RouterBoard RBD53iG-5HacD2HnD configured as a DHCP server with an active hotspot. From what I understand, the captive portal is accessed via a VPN. The issue is that I now need to disable NAT because the RouterBoard will be directly connected to a Huawei L3 switch that handles routing, and NAT must be performed by my firewall. However, when I disable NAT masquerade, the VPN no longer establishes, and I can’t access the captive portal. On the Huawei switch side, the return route is correctly configured. I have networking knowledge, but I’m struggling to understand MikroTik. The system integrator managing the captive portal is unable to find a solution.
Surely I skipped some steps in the flow, but I can't understand how the flow works

Hey all! Looking for some recommendations for a new mixeaudio interface/vocal processor with efx. I have 2 Mics (one compressor phantom powered mic, and once that's USB powered), a Maschine MK3, and an RC-505 MKII. I also have a couple external hardware synths I'd like to run through it as well, and be able to record multiple tracks at the same time with everything and route it into my DAW, FL Studio, to record and then fine tune from there putting the track arrangement together etc. From what I have been reading is a digital mixer is the way to go but there's so many out there I don't know what direction to head in. I've been using the RC-505 as audio interface but I'm always getting some sort of feed back from something, but could be from a mix of decent to cheap audio cables. I'd like to stay under the $600.00 range unless something is worth the investment in the long run then I might be able to make it work budget wise. Any advice or recommendations will be greatly appreciated!
