 | So I got this helix piercing done December 27th and i think it’s doing well but it had a rough start so I wanted to check. It was pierced with a giant curved barbell and I trusted the piercer so I assumed it was fine and a couple weeks after it was getting to me and hurting and just getting caught on a lot so I did more research and found that it should not have been done like that. So I put in my own earring for it with a ball backing that was silver and then realized that titanium was the way to go and switched it again so yea lots of switching when I know isn’t ideal. 2025.01.24 17:43 funtoasts Feeling guilty about potentially leaving my current firm post.
I’m just not sure what to do. I’ve been at my current firm for a little over 2 years with about 8 years of experience being a paralegal. It’s been a long road to get here. I finally feel comfortable and confident with what I’m doing and we all get along so well. I’ve worked in toxic places before and I feel so lucky right now to be able to work with the nicest coworkers and attorneys so far. I can also take time off pretty easily, so I can travel a bit with my husband’s family. I’d really miss working here for those reasons.
But I have some issues. I’m in a smaller Midwest town, and my pay isn’t bad, but I’m starting to wish it was more. There aren’t many higher paying opportunities surrounding me either, but I’m here until my husband finishes school. I also drive over 45 minutes to work and work 8-5, and that alone is draining me and adding up the miles on my older car. I’ve looked at closer opportunities and I’m not finding anything that would pay much more.
I’m looking at LinkedIn and seeing a lot of remote positions based out of a larger city in my state, and I actually randomly applied to one got a call back to interview! It’s for $70k/year, which is over $20k more a year than I currently make. I would benefit so much with that pay increase, being able to pay off debt and actually build a savings while my husband is in school full time. And remote work would be a dream, because the amount I pay a month for gas alone is a good chunk of my paycheck.
So, I’m starting to throw more applications out and see what lands while I wait for my interview. But a part of me is not yet ready to leave. It’s kind of inspiring me to think about my long term future, though. I’m considering applying to law school next year after thinking about going for years. So I’d have to quit my job eventually anyway. I guess I’m just so comfortable here that it’s scary to think of anything else. Any advice?

I just received a Pixel 9 yesterday and had my first phone call with it. I could barely hear my brother and he could barely hear me. I flipped the phone over (so the rear facing camera was basically in my ear) and it sounded normal for both of us. Is this phone intended to be held backwards? The phone seems unusable in what I would consider standard phone-holding position. Not sure if my phone is faulty or what.

LastPass Free has a limit of one device type (mobile or computer). However, you can still install the app on your mobile device, and install the browser extension on your computelaptop. This way, you can still access and modify your password vault on both device types, for free.
I am just posting this because LastPass got a lot of negative reviews when they introduced their one-device-type limit. I think most people just want to access and modify their passwords on PC and mobile devices, which can still be done with the free version. The only limitation is you can't install the app on multiple device types. I was concerned when I heard about the change, but then I noticed zero changes since I was not using the desktop app anyway.
I blame LastPass for not making this clear and the subsequent bad reviews. I can't find a clear indication on their website that you can basically still use LastPass for free on mobile and desktop.
Am I wrong about this? Is my LastPass account just glitched, allowing me free access to premium features?
