I'm a female well into my 40s and as I have begun making positive changes to move myself forward into this second act of life, a few of my close girlfriends are discouraging me from doing things because of my age. The latest is that I am starting the process of going back to school to shift careers, and am targeting part-time evening programs perfectly suited for working adults. Without going into too many specifics, these friends will consistently chime in about my age or my husband's age. They also no longer cheer us on when something good happens in our lives (or maybe they never did and I'm just now noticing it). These are friends I've had since childhood. In contrast, I have friends I've made from work or grad school who do cheer me on when I start something new to improve myself. Now that I am in my 40s, I want to make the most of the time I have left, and because I'm developing more self esteem in my "old age" it is standing out to me that I've got some close friends, who really are like family, who have become naysayers.
How would you recommend I deal with friends like these while wanting to keep the friendship but limit the negative feedback?

Long story short I had P0430 (bank 2) code after I got my car (I think the dealership cleared codes smh) so I bought a bottle of cataclean and cleared the code with a walmart scanner
3 days later the light came back on I ended up buying another bottle and P0230 came up on the scanner after the second bottle this was in December
On my way home from work the light just went off now im confused because I haven’t done anything else since
I turned the car off and plugged the scanner up to see if it would trigger it back on and it didn’t so what just happened?

I have a set of press ons i would really like to use but the glue is bad, i know the salon glue is very strong and has to be cured. I am willing to pay 20-25 or however much they want for the service. Is it rude to ask for that though? They’ve gone to school to create nails and here i am with my plastic ones, i don’t have the money for a full set and i come here very often its my only salon i go to. Please help, should i ask?  | So I called the Regal Cinema in Crystal Lake IL and spoke directly with the manager there and asked him questions about this event. The information given was that as long as you buy the tickets (website or in person) and your a crown member (which it's free) you will get the skin even if you don't actually go watch the movie itself. Hi! I am 22 years old and wanted to come on here to share my experience with my CIUD so far and help those who had similar fears as me.
I got my CIUD inserted January 2nd 2025. I didn’t take anything prior to my appointment but my gyno gave me a pill (I forgot) and numbing cream to prevent me from feeling any pain down there. The entire process was about 30 mins (I needed to wait 15 minutes for the pill to set in) and I felt some discomfort but nothing out of the ordinary. No pain!
She informed me that I may experience some spotting for the next couple of days and that my next 3 periods would be very heavy. After leaving I had some cramps, but nothing too painful.
I was spotting for a week, and then I was in the clear. I have had sex with my boyfriend a couple of times since and he mentioned once he could feel it but it wasn’t painful or anything.
I started my period on the 19th, and I normally have heavy periods. On the 23rd (yesterday) I did experience it heavier than usual but besides that it has been the same as before, however I do think it will be longer than I am used to as I am still bleeding and my period usually lasts 4-5 days with the final 2 days being extremely light/just spotting.
I was extremely nervous before getting the CIUD, hence why I waited so long to get it. Thankfully I have had a positive experience this far and I wanted to share. I know people have different experiences but if this helps anyone I’m glad!
