2025.01.24 18:40 LuxerWap Anyone having trouble trying update the AMD graphics driver?
Was trying out Tokyo Xtreme Racer today and the game starts running fine at 60, but after a few minutes, the framerate starts to tank down to about 46-52. I tried about everything I could do to fix this issue, even lowering the graphics settings to the complete lowest to where the Screen Resolution/Ratio is on 20% and still getting these frame drops. I assume this has to be my graphics driver as I have been given this warning whenever I start up the game:
"WARNING: Known issues with graphics driver"
- The installed version of the AMD graphics driver has known issues in D3D12. Please install the recommended driver version of switch to a different rendering API. Installed: AMD Adrendlin Edition 23.10.20.01. Recommend: 24.3.1 or latest driver available.
"Error 182 - AMD Software Installer detected AMF graphics hardware in your system configuration that is not supported"
Is there a way around this?

I just realized I've gone almost 3 months without going out on a weekend. I moved to Dubai around summer last year. Back home almost every weekend I'd have a group of friends to go out with for drinks, food, shisha etc.
But it's been incredibly difficult here to do that with anyone. It's just work from home, go to gym, come back home. Dating just has been just as bad, I get ghosted the moment a girl realizes I'm not some rich guy with an AMG lmao. So here I am, another night on a weekend bored of my PS5 and just browsing through Reddit. I got so bored I considered getting some more work done.
So for those of you in the same boat, what do you do? Since I'm here, anyone staying in downtown and willing to organize something? Even going for a 5k walk around downtown is good with me!

Last month my townhouse's water bill was $750, about five times what it usually is. I hired a plumber who found that there was an issue with the meter (he fixed it) and that there were no leaks. I have a letter from the plumber.
Typically I would just file a bill adjustment request and attach the relevant docs, but since it is a townhouse community, it appears it is not that simple. I get my individual bills from Metro Metering Solutions, and Atlanta Watershed is the water provider. Metro Metering said they can only offer one reimbursement credit to the whole HOA community per year, and the HOA would likely want to save it this early in the year for a more serious issue. I spoke with Atlanta Watershed, and they said that only the HOA can file the bill adjustment request since my account is linked to Metro Metering and not Atlanta Watershed. I spoke with the HOA manager, and she basically parroted the "one credit for the whole community" thing.
Seems like a very unfair system where the individual townhouse owner has no recourse and could potentially be on the hook for thousands of dollars.

I’m so mad bc it didn’t even make sense for the characters. Arizona maybe a little since Callie left to NY and the actress didn’t wanna continue. Even though they had been co-parenting long distance for 2 years already and it was never much of a problem. BUT APRIL!!! First off- the Montana episode gave us hope for a Japril reunion but noooo Jackson had to be flirting with Maggie the whole 6 eps later and Jackson and April don’t talk about Montana unltil 14x2!!!! (Which is HIGHKEY crazy since they live together!) Then when they do it’s where it gests confusing bc April says “we have sex” like it was more than once, but in the previous episodes that is not at all implied and April notices the flirt between him and Maggie. Then out of nowhere at the end of the season she gets back with Matthew, leaves her job(which she would never) and marries him just like that. It felt so rushed it was very annoying. And it’s sad bc she just had her crisis of faith (amazing storyline) so she could have easily gotten back with jackson right away. (After Montana it would have made perfect sense). And they knew it didn’t make sense, that’s why when Jackson had to leave the show they made them move together and get them together. Idk it sucks how they were let go and how they handled it with the characters.

Okay I'm SO confused, FTM here (with MAJOR PP brain fog so I need extra help understanding this lol) of a 6.5-week-old... so I've heard amazing things about Huckleberry Sweet Spot. It looks like it's supposed to be for babies starting at 2 months, though I've also heard some parents say it was helpful even before then?!
Anyway, my husband and I have been religiously tracking our baby's sleep, feeds, diapers on Huckleberry since week 1... but I CANNOT for the life of me understand whether Huckleberry Sweet Spot would work for us when we're not *entirely* going by her "cues" but also not *entirely* going by a set "schedule," either? We're just trying our best to survive lol.
Basically... it sounds like Huckleberry Sweet Spot will use the sleep data we've tracked to give us the ideal times our baby's "naturally" sleepy for nap times / bedtime / wake-up time, and we should plan around that. But I'm confused about whether what we've been tracking IS "natural."
Like for example: ~1 hour ago, she woke up (and was SURPRISINGLY just staring contently vs. crying, despite not having eaten for 4 hours???) so we changed her, fed her at 9am, she had a huge blowout AND peed on herself while changing, we had to give her a mini bath to clean her, she kept crying and we couuld NOT figure out why despite doing all the gas exercises / burping, so I put a paci in her mouth while doing bicycle kicks and she just fell asleep on my bent legs, then I swaddled her and transferred her to her bassinet where she's sleeping now.
The whole wake window was only about 1 hour. Does this count as her "natural" sleepiness? I didn't see her yawn before this, I feel like she just tired herself out from crying and the paci soothed her to sleep. (This happens a lot, she has reflux that we're managing with Pepcid/Nutrimagen and we're ALWAYS confused by her cues cause she cries for hungediscomfort ("NEH/HEH") for literally everything).
Another example: Oftentimes right after eating, I'll see her yawn immediately, so I assume I should start getting her ready to sleep again (even though we barely did any awake activities lol). But then I swaddle her and she looks super alert, until I bounce/rock/soothe her long enough to get her to sleep. I know this is normal to "help a baby sleep," but how does this count as "natural sleepiness"?
Another example: Oftentimes after eating I'll be burping her, and me holding a paci in her mouth and patting her on the back puts her to sleep... Is this her "natural sleepiness" and not just my patting/the paci putting her to sleep?
Lol I hope my question makes sense... I'm just so confused about a lot of things in general and idk why this is so hard to understand. Probably because half my brain feels like it's missing ever since giving birth. Please help.

2025.01.24 18:40 Awesometwosome6 Advice required: moved into a new apartment in September 2024. The tenant below us keeps filing false noise complaints.
The context is that, this tenant who lives directly below us has been constantly filing false noise complaints against me and my family inciting that he hears children playing loudly at 2 am, 3 am.
For context: We are a family of 4, all of us are adults. Aged 20+ so there is no way this is possible, when this was raised we stated the above and it got resolved.
Now the person has filed another complaint stating he hears loud screeching noises from our apartment at 3 am, Like heavy furniture being moved around.
For this, we responded with asking for proof of such noises and also sent pictures and videos of all our furniture. NONE of it can make such a noise.
This guy provided no proof and instead lodged ANOTHER COMPLAINT for the same thing. I am honestly frustrated and annoyed because the legal department of the building management keeps calling me and troubling me with no proof whatsoever and just keeps warning us that action will be taken.
What can i do? i dont want to move because we found this apartment after looking for months and other than this crazy guy nothing else is the issue.
Additional context: In Dec we were gone for around 2 weeks on vacation and this guy had filed Another complaint during that period saying we are making so much noise.. we weren't even in the kingdom 😭

Ilang taon nang problema yun hanggang ngayon hindi pa rin nasosolusyunan, hindi rin alam ng pamilya anong gagawin. Ewan ko ba, hindi ko alam ang rason bakit parang natitiis nila na may naabuso na tapos hanggang ngayon hindi nareresulba.
Kapag naaalala ko yun, naiiyak ako, nalulungkot ako ng sobra. Napapatanong din ako sa sarili ko. Haha 😢😢 siguro mga 2 to 3 years pa bago mag senior yun, nakakaawa! Wala sa tamang oras kung kumain, minsan wala talaga, pati mga gamot wala nang iniinom, hindi na rin nachecheck-up. Pati pag ligo wala, lagi pang basa ang diaper. Pinapahirapan din ng anak, tinitiis hindi pakainin at linisin kadalasan. 😭
Panganay na anak daw yung nakakasama sa bahay, alam sa amin ang sitwasyon nila pati yung anak na maraming personal problems. Kailan lang na-diagnose na yun na may mental health kaso in denial. Malaki ang chance na isa sa rason yun, kung bakit pangit, baboy ang alaga sa papa niya, pati na rin sa sarili niya.

I applied for a position with a university that I am very interested in and highly qualified for. I had a phone screening interview and 2 days later was asked back for an interview in the office with the team I would work with. 2 days later I was asked to come in for further interviews with some faculty and students. At the end of the last interview, they said over the next few days, they’d collect feedback from the various people I interviewed with and check references. It’s been about 2 weeks and I haven’t heard anything. I know they haven’t contacted my references.
I know 2 people who worked there previously who said their process is very slow, but I think I’m getting thrown off bc they said a few days, and in the first two rounds, it really did take 2 days. I think I’m hoping for encouragement. No news is good news right? Still reason for hoping it works out?

Hi, so I have a semi-stable throttled.service configuration for my laptop, but I am hesitant to enable the systemd service in the event it becomes impossible to start my computer past the systemd sequence. However, I often forget to start the service. Even though the savings are negligible, I'd like to squeeze the last half-watt out of my thinkpad for the battery life. Is there a way of having the service disable itself if the boot sequence crashes or by having it check something physical (like the presence of a network connection, camera, bios setting). By erpalma's own admission, the software is "still experimental."
