Constantly seeing negativity about Britain and how it is going down the pan. What do people think would actually improve the country?
Personally I think we need to move away from cars as the main mode of transport. My short 5 mile commute can easily take 30-40 minutes in the morning due to so much traffic. If I was able to cycle in it would take me a-lot less time and stress me out a hell of a lot less. Cycling in my local area however is very dangerous due to the tight, congested roads. I would also need a place to store my bike at work, however the boss has never responded to my request to park my bike.
I would also like to see less paperwork/form filling. I feel especially in the past 10 years the amount of personal admin people need to do has just skyrocketed, with the forms asking a constant stream of questions, often unrelated to what you want to do. I was bought up advising to keep a lot of my personal affairs private yet everyone everywhere seemingly wants streams of information which is often unrelated.

I got an internship offer at KPMG for Winter 2026. I’ll be a senior by then. I’m very excited I got a internship offer by KPMG, but I have a situation. They gave me 2 weeks to decide to accept or decline. I have internship interviews with EY, RSM, Baker Tilly, and other firms. Should I accept the offer and still interview at the other firms? Any tips or help would be appreciated.

I know the Gunn verse is a different universe than the comics and since it's a different take, does that mean no matter who is casted that's not how the comic character would canonically look like if they were real? Hello, I'm scheduled for a hysterectomy on February 13th, total but ideally keeping my ovaries. My surgeon believes he can do it outpatient laparoscopicly but I have had a few weird things that might complicate things and I was wondering if anyone else has had similar? I'm 40, childless by choice but I also have a golf ball sized fibroid that would have made it difficult to conceive. I have had PCOS since I was 16 or 17 and was put on birth control for that. In 2017 I had Roux N-Y Gastric Bypass and one of my doctors concerns is my intestines and any fusion that may have happened due to the surgery scar tissue. I'm pretty sure I have adenomyosis and probably endometriosis as well. My periods started getting really heavy and painful after my surgery and when I had a copper IUD placed. I had that removed in March of this year due to being in pain and when they did the pelvic ultrasound before they noticed the IUD was now in the wrong place. They put me on Nexplanon after to test it and oh my freaking god I bled for months straight. I finally got that devil stick 😂 out of me last Friday but when my OB-Gyn was doing a last appointment pelvic exam he noticed that my uterus had tilted backwards because of course it would. An ultrasound confirmed it yesterday so I'm just waiting on the results from that. I think for some reason I'm most scared of having an 'open' abdominal surgery. I'm very active as I teach yoga almost every night, but my desk job is currently WFH.
LONG STORY SHORT...HAHA...Has anyone had anything I mentioned. How was recovery, etc? I'm ready for this bitch uterus to evacuate the premises, but I'm also scared.

So my financial aid covers for the most part except that i owe $600 which i currently don’t have. i have a hold on my account for no enrollment or diploma since I haven’t paid the amount yet. I keep getting messages telling me to pay today by 1PM but i genuinely don’t have the money and the middle class scholarship should be helping with the rest but we haven’t gotten that either. does anyone know what to do or know if i will be dropped if i don’t pay by 1pm today?

I just passed my FE roughly after 4 years out of school. It’s safe to say a lot of that information is still fresh in my mind now coming off a hardcore study schedule. Now, my employer really wants to me to get my PE now that I have my years of experience requirement met.
Anyone jump right into the PE test right after passing the FE? If so, how much prep did you put into it? I’m curious to see if others experienced something similar.

Honest question because I've seen some post on here about this but did EA/Bioware actually come and say DAV sold poorly? Or are people just making guesses? I don't follow this kind of thing so I'm not sure if they have already released the numbers but if they haven't I think its a little too soon to be doom and gloom about its sales.

2025.01.24 18:29 bigby1234 Update on my gatekeeping post from yesterday
So I got some really helpful advice like people suggested I hone my main past 1645 so I look different compared to goldfarmers/rats
I also got really terrible advice from what I can assume are from "sweats" and veteran players who sit and play the game all day who said "when i was 1620 i was able to clear the lobby with a group of 1620" - Yeah except you forget to point out that when you were 1620 the raid was new, there was plenty of learning parties/prog lobbies, you were able to do the raid multiple times learning it, you've probably done the raid 100+ times. In current times, there is 0 learning parties/prog, go to any of the learning discords and tell me how many behemoth learning parties do you see? You learned the raid by doing it 1000 times, new players have to learn the raid by watching guides, Prog/learning lobbies don't exist and if you join 1640 lobby and wipe once the lobby ends up disbanding - very hard to actually learn.
So many people said I don't have hands and thats why I'm gatekept, it's not that I don't have hands as I can easily clear earlier content that I've done 100 times, its that I've done the raid 4 times maybe cause I just came back 1.5 months ago and I just don't have experience in it, I know the mechanics/pattern from watching videos and guides but I obviously won't get experience only doing the raid 4 times in 1 month. It's not lack of hands, its lack of experience and theres no way around this, I can't solo the raid, I literally have to keep practicing in public lobbies each week till I get better =]
Anyways - I downloaded a dpm meter to see for myself where I stand and ended up honing my gear to 1650, got accepted into the first lobby I applied in which was people ranging from 1640 to 1660ish and we cleared it on the first try. I was 6th in DPS in the lobby (out of 12 since I don't think I should count supports) - not sure if this is good or bad because realistically I don't know whether me being 1655 with worst gems/cards should out damage say a 1650 with better gems/cards - it's hard to know whether 6th is me overperforming my level/skill or underperforming because not every player is on the same level field (different item level, different gems/cards, some parties im sure had better support players which will hinder your dps)
The raidleader said he thought I was an alt roster because I did mechs/fight pretty cleanly but my account lacked cards/gems which is why he accepted me into the raid - so take that for what it is
It's funny how I got "gatekept" yesterday for being 1645 and today I got accepted into the first lobby as soon as I honed past 1650 - like people assume as a 1645 I don't know mechs and now that im 1650 I magically learned them xD
Regardless to say I finished the raid and I'm going back to playing solo
Thank you to everyone who told me I should invest more into my main and just hone a bit more because truly just not being 1645 opened the doors for me!
