Not sure where to put this. Only doing so because there are drivers in LA county that are coming into this company from Uber. The LA branch has grown significantly.
If anyone here notices their paycheck. Take a picture of your punch correction sheet and double check your timecard the following week. They are defaulting you to an 830 punch out. Negating any overtime worked. Considering we don't turn on the uber app until 830. That's literally impossible to clock out on the dot. Not even considering the time for inspection. Please double check your timecard, take screenshot and look at your Google timeline. I'll be contacting the department of labor. Because if it's happening to me. I guarantee is happening to the other 500 employees that work here and that is a sizable amount of debt. They've stolen a hundred dollars from me in January alone. They're doing some seriously illegal shit.

Often I see people suggesting apps like Reddit as alternatives to facebook. I understand that there is some overlap, but I think what most people are looking for when they ask for an alternative to facebook is a place where they can read posts only from their friends, and share only with them too.
It also needs to be easy to sign up to, since the vast majority of people can't deal with the complexities of tools like Mastodon (for example, the need to pick a server etc.). After all, to most people the main point of a social network is to be where most people are.
Considering the above, what would you suggest as the best TRUE alternative(s) to facebook?

Hi all, I just have a quick question, I recently agreed to do a contract job providing business/financial consulting services to a client, I would be working in NJ and NY state. Do I need to collect any sort of taxes (like sales taxes, etc) on the agreed upon hourly rate when I bill them?

2025.01.24 18:41 Healthy-Ladder-5844 Need some critiques for my current plans.
I need some critiques of my list of speakers and amps for my car. I've been researching this for a while, and will continue to do so until I've put aside enough money to buy. It's a lot, but I think this is pretty solid. I have a Lexus GX 470 with the Mark Levinson speaker trim, and so there are a lot of speakers in the car to replace. The sub is definitely done, and a bunch of the speakers are rattling. Also I have no real way to connect to the car with my phone other than a cassette adapter, and one of those cheap bluetooth radio transmitters. I know I don't need to replace all of the speakers, but I want to and this list has speakers to fill every hole (Except the stock subwoofer, it's a 6.5 inch and in the list I have a sealed 12 inch. Im thinking I could put an amp or two behind the plastic trim where the stock sub is mounted.) I'll break down the list of speaker size and locations here so yall can get an idea of what I am going for:
5 total 2.75 inch midrange speakers, one in the dash, one in each front door, and two in the trunk door,
2 1.5 inch tweeters, one in each front door,
2 6x9 full range woofers, one in each front door,
2 6.5 inch woofers, one in each passenger door,
1 6.5 inch subwoofer behind some plastic trim in the rear trunk (will be replaced by a larger sub in a trunk enclosure)
This is my list of speakers. Any ideas or criticism helps. I have never done any car audio mods yet and so I expect to make changes to my list. I'll get second opinions from other people I know personally too, but I would also like some of the internet's perspective.
My goal is to obviously replace every speaker in the car, but if for whatever reason something doesn't make much sense to use some then I probably won't. I also want to avoid as much cutting and custom placement as possible. Some of the speakers like the mid ranges i have in my list aren't going to fit exactly in the stock locations but I am prepared to make cuts and changes at the stock cut outs to make them fit. Seeing pictures that Crutchfield has taken of this car seems like it wouldnt be hard to make a larger speaker to fit in the stock locations with minor adjustments.
I have done a bit of research into sound insulation as you can see in my list with the Ali express links. I feel like i'm already stretching my budget, but I also realize that I need some sort of sound dampening because of the door mounted Mid bass drivers. I am mostly focusing my insulation efforts on the 4 doors, the trunk, and the floor for now. I figure that buying a bunch of the fancy things that Resonix recomends but the cheaper versions of them is going to be a lot better than spending the same amount of money on the really good stuff. Would resonix be better? Yes absolutely. Can I afford what I think I'd need with resonix parts? No. Will I notice a difference between the cheap stuff and the good stuff? No, I've never heard the good stuff. In my mind the execution is most important, and if I use these cheap stuff but then do the best job I can with it then I'll get some pretty decent results. Yeah resonix will be better, but I think these things will be good enough and Ill be happy with that. I need to look more into amounts and sizing, but until someone gives me enough convincing evidence that the ali express stuff will just straight up not work then Im going with what ive found.
The two things Im expecting a lot of criticism on is on my choice of amps and insulation, but I am open to ideas and direction. From what Ive been able to find online is that for the amps, modern stuff doesnt make a whole lot of a difference in sound quality. So why double the price of the build? If my thought process is wrong thats why Im here.
