So I had two cats. One was from an indoor cat that had babies, but her owners couldn't afford to take care of them and were put up for adoption.
My second cat was a rescue. She was abandoned by her mother, or her mother had an accident we never knew.
My second cat had many problems, including osteoporosis and breathing problems.
We got our first cat neutered, and two months later, it was the second one's turn.
The second cat didn't eat even two days after the operation, and we had to feed her with Syringe. She was getting very weak. We took her to the vet, and while we were waiting there, a dog jumped on her box, trying to say hello She was very scared. We pulled the dog away, but he got away and went to her again.
She started breathing weirdly right there and then. The doctor asked us to stay at the clinic. We stayed there for 5 hours but in the end just had to go home without any improvement.. and she was gone after a few hours ...
Now, a day after that, my first cat is sad and scared. From morning till afternoon She kept looking for her sister and after not finding her she just kept sleeping...
I'm worried about her .. Can anyone please help me? I don't know how to cope with the loss And I don't know how to cheer my other daughter up..
I was thinking about getting her a new friend and just found out that her birth mother had a new litter. But we have to wait till they are a bit older.
Now I don't know if I should just go to the shelter and get her a new friend immediately or wait for her brother to get older.
Would it help them get along better if they are half siblings?
Or should I just let her stay alone for a while? I have to go back to work soon and she was never alone in the house before.

I don’t know why, but it irrationally bothers me when I hear people use nicknames for people, or shortening names for things. When someone goes by a nickname I find it hard to call them by that, the urge to just call them their full name is strong lol I think it might be because my brain is just too logically thinking, and I can’t relate to wanting to do that idk. Am I alone in this?

So, as the title asks. I had an interesting thought that given Nurgle's whole thing is disease, wouldn't a ridiculously effective means of spreading plague in the galaxy to make like a few doctors completely asymptomatic, so they infect others passively and without most even realizing who's infected until it's too late? Passive disease soul corruption is broken as fuck, and I want to know if this is possible given what we've seen in Nurgle's stuff.

S&P 500 treaded water between 1968 and 1979 (or 1992 if adjusted for inflation) and again between 1999 and 2013 (or 2014 if adjusted for inflation). It feels like we're headed towards another such lost decade (but hopefully not 10+10 like 1968-1992). What are you doing to prep (and going all cash for 10+ years if not a feasible strategy)? Or are you still counting on S&P 500 doubling every 7 years and you'll have $X million and retire in Y years (or soon retiring or already retired)? Just curious what folks' strategies are (other than pray to whichever deity you believe in that we're not on the precipice of 1929 with 1958 on the other side of the chasm (adjusted for inflation)).

My cat suddenly woke up with shaky legs and imbalanced
Hello guys I just need to know what's going to happen,I'm horrified and I need answers.
So earlier today I noticed that the litter box was clean and she didn't urinate except for once in the morning but she was eating and playing very normally.
Just to be safe I took her to the vet and I was told her bladder isn't full and she doesn't seem to have a problem and she probably didn't even drink enough water yet. He gave her a vitamin injection and deworming medication and told me not to feed her for an hour just for meds to work better. I took her home and I didn't feed her and she fell asleep she didn't ask for food. Then she entered my room as I was studying. She looked odd? Kinda dizzy or just imbalanced I noticed her legs were shaky I immediately just literally FLED to the vet.
He checked her gums, temperature and told me she seems okay and it doesn't seem like something serious. I decided to keep her there tonight to be monitored and taken care of better as much as it hurts I know I wouldn't be much help.
Has anyone experienced that? Do I need to worry? Idk I just need answers.

got an absolutely abominable grade on my adv func exam.. at first I was jus frustrated and pissed cus of our math teacher not teaching that well, giving us much harder tests than we were prepared for and boasting how hard her exam was (which is was.. it was horrible..) and our whole class got screwed over by it. but now i'm just demotivated. that grade brought my math mark down 5% and my overall avg down by 1.5%. now im just demotivated cus I was awake for like 65 hours straight almost, surviving purely off of monsters studying for 2 exams just for this to happen

2025.01.24 19:52 OkSignificance1616 AITAH for stealing my friends' personalities?

For background, I (16m) am on the autism spectrum and have another related mental illness that causes me to very obviously mirror other peoples traits, movements, catchphrases, etc. I've been working on it in therapy, but it's still an ongoing issue and I'm not making super obvious progress. The process has been slow and I've only gotten a bit better about being independent in my personality.
Today at lunch I was sitting with my normal group of friends (Victoria, Mark, Aisley, and Nicole) and everything seemed pretty normal? We interacted fine and had good conversations. The only notable thing is that I repeated what a lot of them said in silly voices (when we were joking around) and copied this movement that Mark does a lot. He does this thing where he leans forward and wiggles his fingers in peoples faces muttering "Do as I say! Do as I say!" He's done this for years and I've picked it up since we've known each other. I did it to Victoria and everyone went really quiet. I assumed the joke fell flat and so I just went back to eating. The rest of lunch was normal enough and I didn't think twice about it. We walked to our next classes together and kept messing around in the halls. After that class finished and I was walking to the last class of the day, some girl I didn't know walked up to me and called me a "leech" and an "asshole" for making everyone at the table so uncomfortable when I did that movement at lunch. I sat there and just blinked at her, which I assume she took as rude because she stormed off.
When I got home I got my phone (I left it in my room) and checked it. Turns out I had a bunch of messages from Nicole that she wanted to warn me that I might get kicked out of the table. Apparently this is an ongoing issue and they haven't liked me for a while. I asked Mark about it but I think he blocked me? When I asked Victoria about it she said that it was because I kept copying them and it was weird to be around me. I tried to explain that I didn't really mean to creep them out, but that I was sorry and would try to be better. She didn't want to hear it and I guess I'm just... kicked out now? I just want to know if I'm actually an asshole or if I'm valid in feeling a bit upset about all of this. So, AITAH for stealing my friends' personalities?
