I can't seem to do anything that involves Jim. I've had the quest to give Jim salmon between 5 and 8 for awhile now. First I gave him salmon I had already and it registered as a gift and not a quest item. So I farmed a salmon and same thing. So I finally went and caught a fresh one and the same thing happened! He will not take any salmon from me :( I also have a heart event to meet him at the Beach Shack between 5 and 8 and when I go it doesn't trigger anything. Anyone else experience this or have any advice?

Hello,
I recently graduated with a CS degree and I am currently figuring out the best path to start my career. I'm really interested in either going DE or SWE.
My thought process is that if I go the Data Engineer route, I might have to start as a data analyst to build up my experience, which I’m ok with. On the other hand, I’m really drawn to SWE because I think building applications and system is interesting. The reason I’m asking about this is because I’m not sure which one I would like, but I have to start somewhere and can transition from one to the other based on what I like.
For those who have experience in either field, would you recommend starting in one over the other?
I would appreciate any advice or personal experiences!

I’m 15 and I haven’t done anything bad to my mum really and she’s the best and after reading this quote, I realised the harsh reality that eventually she will no longer be here and my dad and I’m crying and I can’t live without them and I feel so bad, Like I treated them awfully even though I didn’t. I don’t know why this quote made me all of a sudden have such death anxiety and existential crisis almost.

I've only ever had it once in the form of a 'Spaghette' which I'm not sure is a real drink (Miller high life + shot of Campari) and I will admit only fooled me because it was a lovely peachy-red color and looked good. I've come back around and I want to try something that is perhaps more intentionally made to balance the flavor. I'm not against aperitifs or herbal beverages, but aside from a shot of fernet to end the night I don't typically have them. I usually prefer tart fruit-forward or sweeter drinks- I've been coming around on stiffer drinks, but perhaps something softer than a negroni for now. Where should I start? What's your favorite? TIA

I ordered the Wooting 80HE in Zinc White back in June 2024, and as of now, it still hasn’t been delivered. I reached out on their Discord server, and they advised me to contact customer support through the website. Unfortunately, the support system isn’t working for me—I can’t even submit a ticket.
A moderator on the Discord asked for details about my ISP, and that’s as far as it’s gone. Days keep passing, and I’m still stuck with no updates or resolution. Half a year is already a long time to wait for a keyboard, and it’s incredibly frustrating that I can’t even get help until they fix their website issues.
At this point, I don’t know what else to do, so I’m hoping someone here on Reddit might have advice or be able to help.

I just made a TikTok for my pottery. When allowing the app to see my contacts they suggested a bunch of accounts for me. They suggested a 18-19yr old girl’s account listed under the name of a contact I have in my phone who is 1. A man + 2. In his fifties.
What are the chances this is a fake account the guy is using to catfish? It’s tricky because I am friends with his wife and would need to tell her.

2025.01.24 21:10 Heavy-Perception-166 Kenmore 110.6270201 won’t shut off after thermostat change.
I was given this dryer for free and it seems a good one. Previous owner claimed it worked great, I found that it was very slow to dry clothes on both automatic dry and timed modes. It would take 2 sometimes 3 cycles to dry, however, it was definitely heating. In both automatic and timed modes it would shut off as expected.
So, I replaced the cycling thermostat, thermal fuse, and high limit thermostat. It now dries as expected.
However that introduced a new problem, in both automatic and timed modes the dryer never shuts off!
The timer knob does advance in both modes, but “stalls” near the end. If you manually move it forward the dryer stops. In Automatic mode the heat stays on and it goes forever, in timed modes the heat comes off but the dryer doesn’t stop. The dryer will not start without the timer set to a cycle, and will not start unless the start button has been pushed.
I’m leaning to suspect I bought a bad thermostat, as the problem was introduced with the thermostat change and I am not seeing other indicators of a problem. Does that sound right? Which thermostat controls when the dryer shuts off?

I was losing weight steadily on 2.5 mg, but since moving up to 5 mg, my progress on the scale has noticeably slowed. I’m sticking to my diet and routine, so I’m wondering—am I just being impatient, or is this a common thing? It’s a bit frustrating to see less movement now that I’ve increased my dose.
