This is for insomnia and depression. I already take Effexor. I have ADHD (combined type) but haven't started stimulants yet. Symptoms are insomnia, depression, anxiety.
I was taking Mirtazapine for insomnia and depression. I'm switching over to Trazodone as I don't like some of the side effects like weight gain and feeling too drowsy, vivid dreams that last a lifetime and nightmares etc.
My new psychiatrist suggested Agomelatine, but I never heard of it so I just asked for Trazodone instead.
They said the Mirtazapine was important not just for my insomnia, but for my depression as well.
I've tried many other insomnia meds that never worked. Hydroxyzine and Quetiapine were useless. Melatonin only improves the Mirtazapine, but doesn't work alone.
Basically I'm wondering are there any problems/benefits with Trazodone or Agomelatine that are specific to my situation? I know all of these meds are completely random for how they work on every individual.
But I wonder should I have been so quick to reject my psychiatrists recommendation of Agomelatine because I only knew about Trazodone? I've heard of how similar Trazodone is to Mirtazapine so it made sense to me. I've also heard that Agomelatine isn't as good for insomnia.
What I'm wondering is what are the differences and similarities on paper between the two?

Duolingo English Test - Suggestions Hey everyone,
I took the test two days ago for my uni and came to Reddit searching for advice but was surprised to see many people not recommending DET. So here's my experience!
I probably just did two practice tests and did a lot of exercises on the sections I was having trouble with, I especially suck at the section where I have to fill in missing words in a test and there are no words to choose from.
But anyways, I was scoring 135-145 on the practice test and when I took the actually exam I really thought I had messed up. I ran out of time while writing twice, so couldn't do spelling or typo checks and couldn't fill in some missing words on some exercises. The test is one hour long and as long as you set up your phone properly and look at the screen of your laptop, they should not invalidate your test. But after taking the test I can say the practice test is VERY WELL DONE!
The only thing I would say to look out for would be the comprehension part, if you struggle with it I would say practice a little more. I received two scientific tests and it wasn't that hard but I was kind of expecting something a little bit easier lol. Oh and also, there is a segment of the test where you will be asked to read a sentence out loud, then write your thoughts on a subject and then to describe a picture. All in a matter of a few minutes and there is no connection between the exercises so don't be nervous or taken aback by it! Just take a deep breath and you're good!
I ended up scoring 150 overall and I'm very happy with how it went. I didn't watch any youtube videos just cause I thought I could use that time to actually keep practicing and training my brain on what type of questions to expect. But I am very content with how it went! Good luck to everyone!!!

Restoring Briefcase I found this beauty at the thrift today, and it is a little worn in spots. I don’t want to blend the spots in necessarily, just want to protect and hydrate the leather. The whole thing is pretty stiff and dry feeling, what product would be best that won’t risk transferring any kind of oily marks to clothes/paper? The pictures make the marks on the leather stand out more than they actually do, I am mainly concerned about the sides and the left buckle strap (the right looks practically untouched.

I recently was watching a YouTube video going over the basics and found this interesting: some developers opt not to use namespace std as we have been using because it contains a library of default symbols which can overlap with your own if you end up creating a lot of symbols, which can lead to confusion and errors in the code. Also, to break namespace down, it is an identifier for variables with the same name. For instance, we can have both x=1 and x=2 exist in the same program if we add a namespace that is unique to each one - we have been opting to use namespace std thus far because our programs are quite simple we won't run into the problem of overlapping symbols.
