sorry if this isn't the right subreddit, please delete if so. im having issues training my dreambooth model in kohya_ss. i want to make a model of ryan reynolds. i have 261 images of him; full body, close up, torso up. all with different facial expressions and poses. what would be good parameters to set? ive messed around with the Unet and TE quite a bit with the most recent one being Unet to 5E-3 and TE to 1E-4 (which was absolutely terrible) and others with lower, around E-5. any thoughts on those learning rates? ive been using chatgpt to help primarily with my parameters (which i might get some grief for haha) and it told me a good rule of thumb for max steps is ((number of training photos x repeats x epochs) / batch size) is this a good guide to follow? any help would be appreciated. i want to get a pretty accurate face, and with full body shots to just also have a pretty accurate portrayal of his physique. is that too much to ask for?
edit: im using SD 1.5 and i have already pre cropped my photos to 512x512 and i also have the txt documents next to the photos that describe them.

So I hear about all this DLSS hubbub at work and get excited to try it myself since I had just purchased final fantasy VII Rebirth. Get home and follow a guide to install it (never messed with this stuff before) took me about 20 minutes and wow… man does that look really good. That is untill you look at any form of trees? That has to be the worst noise/artifacting I have ever seen in my life too the point where the trees flicker so bad that it messes with my HDR settings or something causes my entire screen to flicker it is so horrendous. Is this the big pimple no one wants to talk about or will this be fixed? Almost ruins the whole thing

Hey y’all, I sometimes see Redditors post asking about the quickest shortcuts to ace Meta coding interviews, or about how unrealistic of a grind Leetcode is. Either way, I understand the sentiment - I poured half a year into studying for Meta only to be painfully rejected. I obviously won’t go into much detail but to put it simply, I didn’t react very well. All to say, I don’t want any other candidate to feel the same distress I did before, during and after the interview process.
This is why my wife and I started a passion project (really, it’s just a YouTube channel) called Coding with Minmer to cover Meta/Facebook question variants in video solution form.
While Leetcode is a valuable learning resource, most companies unfortunately introduce their own twists or "variants" of common problems that throw candidates off (as a contrived example, think 6-sum instead of 2-sum). Rephrasings of problems and follow-up questions are also common, so recognizing these variations and curveballs is crucial. With these video solutions, I’m hoping us candidates have some sort of upper hand going into the interview - no longer will we be caught off-guard. Together we stand!

thinking of doing a loop of tom, field, avalon tomorrow. higher summits forecast is showing high winds and a nasty wind chill. i’ve hiked solo a few times in winter before (actually have done this exact hike) but with relatively fair weather for the season. i’m looking to raise the challenge a little bit.
just wondering what to expect if i’m staying below treeline in terms of wind/cold. i’m never too proud to turn around, but i think with such limited exposure, it shouldn’t be too miserable, right?

He broke up with me for pretty much no reason. Together for 10 months. I think he cheated on me (went out, turned his location off, lied about where he was 9 times (my friends confirmed) then just kept lying. Eventually the next day he shows up with tears saying he needs to break up with me. I’ve come to the conclusion my gut is probably right and he knows if I find out it’ll crush me & I’ll also break up with him anyways. We broke up 3/4 days ago and now he’s sending me memes solely about me on TikTok and instagram. For example a meme like “imagine if the casino had uno” because it’s something I say all the time. They are all memes solely about me and my life. I just don’t understand you dump me and then send me memes every other hour that are solely about me? I’ve never been in a position where a man just breaks up with me, but keeps all the pictures on social media up, doesn’t remove his location off, & hasn’t unfollowed or removed me on any social media. It feels like straight narcissism but again that’s what I get for dating a 21 year old. Has anyone been in this position? Any advice? I’m kind of loosing my mind.

I'm not sure if questions like that are okay in this sub, but I'm really curious what are your favorite art tools that somewhat unusual in a community.
For example, I really like to sketch and make drawings with Pilot Frixion eraseble pens in my sketchbook. It feels to me like a extra fancy pencil. It glides on paper really good but many people don't like to use it or don't recommend it as it's very risky to lose your art in a heat.
I tried to find people doing art with it on the internet but I saw others to do under sketches only and not full drawings.
By the way, this question applies to other mediums traditional, digital etc.

I asked this buried in another thread a month or so back, so my question really didn't get the exposure I was looking for. Back in November I received a very high hospital bill. I contacted the hospital and attempted to negotiate it lower, to which of course they denied. They did send me charity care paperwork back in November which I promptly filled out an returned, but did not hear anything back yet. Since then, I've received December and January statements where I of course haven't paid yet; the monthly payment is near $1200 (near $14k bill) which is not doable for me / why I'm trying to get it reduced via charity care.
Anyway, in the meantime while I'm "waiting" to hear back, what do you all recommend? Should I pay nothing and simply wait, or do I pay something small (say $100-$200) just to show I'm not trying to avoid the debt? What are the pros and cons of paying something now that's significantly less than what the monthly payment is? I've got very good credit and don't want to chance the bill going to collections. What should be my next steps?
