2025.01.24 23:00 FivezNX1 Help I'm LaGgInG!
I used to play Spider-Man and I was pretty good at it too. But then I started lagging like crazy. I switched over to Moon Knight (who is my favorite marvel character) but I don't get the same feeling destroying people with the fist of Khonsu as I did zipping around the map as Spidey. I have all my settings down to the lowest possible and my pc is pretty decent with a 3060 and 16 gigs of ram. Are there any other settings on my computer that could help (I closed all the unnecessary apps in task manager) or some secret trick in MR that I could use? I would really appreciate the help

2025.01.24 23:00 schwaggyhawk 12-inch Miter Saw now only sold as a kit - no tool only in USA
The 10 and 8-inch saws are still available as tool-only, but in their infinite wisdom it seems Makita only offers the 12-inch in kit form (GSL04M1) with the 4Ah battery. Why would they do this? I don't need another charger or 4Ah batt but I'm also not ready to buy. Welcome to our latest fortnightly Narita(verse) Friday thread! Here, you can discuss Durarara!!, Vamp!, Etsusa Bridge, and Wednesdays Smiling with Otsuberu, the four other works by Ryohgo Narita that share a universe with Baccano!—i.e. the Naritaverse.
Per early thread feedback, you may also discuss Narita's works that aren't set in the Naritaverse (e.g. DMDP, Stealth Symphony, Hariyama-san, Center of the World, et cetera). Suffice it to say, many don't have dedicated subreddits or discussion spaces of their own. Some likely never will.
As biweekly threads, Naritaverse Fridays are active throughout the entire fortnight duration at minimum. Participation, in other words, isn't limited to Fridays! On that note, thank you for participating! Meta feedback on Narita(verse) Fridays is always welcome.
Threads are posted at 6 PM EST.

2025.01.24 23:00 Illustrious_Dish_147 What are some good RTS games set in pre-gunpowder (or early gunpowder) time, where good startegy/tactics are important?
So I have tried Total War, since it's what fits the best, but I still find the combat to not be amazing, sometimes it can have wonky mechanics with bad AI. I'm more looking for a more competetive game, with focus on commanding the battles.
Does such a game exist?

Eclipsing the sun with its weightless embrace, It leaves neither mark nor visible trace. A thief in the dark, it steals what is bright, Filling the air with its infinite night.
Persistent companion, it clings to the soul, A void that devours and never feels whole. It whispers, "I’m here, and I’ll never let go," A presence unseen, but the one you most know.
Resting on shoulders too weary to bear, A phantom that feeds on despair in the air. It lingers unbidden, a guest never asked, Wielding its power, a merciless mask.
