Currently a 1L got below average grades for 1L (the way law school grading works I find hilarious) and have an electrical engineering degree with a high gpa.
I don’t have experience in the IP space but just from my school experience, internships and talking to attorneys I believe the work is a good fit for my personality and what I prefer when I have to work.
I have not taken the patent bar yet, should I make it a priority to spend this summer studying for it and take it as soon as possible? I would have studied for it the summer after graduating but I was overall just burnt out from all the classes I have taken.
I’m nervous and worried for summer employment because of my shit fall semester grades. Should I apply to all legal jobs or those just focused on tech and IP? Cause I feel like if I apply to say a PI firm or some other firms that deal with civil matters they will question my engineering background. I don’t really feel like lying about my career goals or will they not even pry? Or will they just see through the bullshit.
I have some meetings with some attorneys and career services coming up. But just wanted to hear from other people who might have been in my shoes.

2025.01.24 22:53 xHORCHATAx Cannot upload captures to OneDrive manually
Every time I go to upload a capture, screenshot, clip, individual or in batches to OneDrive, it comes up with a notification saying that it failed to upload, the only way I can upload to OneDrive is if it is set to automatically upload. This happens whether my capture location is set to internal or an external NTFS formatted thumb drive that I have set up specifically for this. I have soft reset my console, I have factory reset my console, checked everything on one drive and no dice. Anybody else in Alpha-Skip Ahead or other rings for that matter experiencing any issues with their OneDrive capture uploads?

I know it was a bit, but a cool tidbit I think might be appreciated after listening to the [Insert Topic Here] episode is that machine guns specifically, or at least the M240B, does in fact wear very quickly. You need to change the barrel every 2 minutes of firing, or else it will literally melt.
So, you have a second barrel matched specifically to your 240 (barrels are serialized and made in pairs, a third barrel shouldn't typically work) laying on the ground beside your setup. You call for the barrel change with your partner, the "A-Gunner," and swap them out to let the other cool.
There's a lot more to it, but a quick summary ought to do for now! Unless of course, anyone is further curious.

I did not signal them, but during the interview I really took a shine to the program and the faculty. I sure hope they have not finalized their list yet. I know LOIs are a crapshoot, but it would have been nice if the PD read it before they submit the ranking on Feb 3rd.
