I recently posted here about my dissatisfaction with the Uber Driver app, particularly its ongoing audio issues. After much frustration, I decided to dig deeper into the problem and managed to find a solution that works. I also think I now understand why the issue occurs in the first place.
The issue happens when playing music from Spotify while using the Uber Driver app for navigation. The navigation voice often lowers the music volume, which is expected, but sometimes the music doesn't return to its normal volume afterward. Additionally, the navigation voice comes through at an extremely loud volume while the music doesn’t lower at all, creating an unpleasant experience. It’s incredibly annoying.
After experimenting and playing around, I discovered that the issue seems tied to how the phone handles audio when connected via Bluetooth vs not connected to Bluetooth. If your phone’s volume is set to maximum, loading up the Uber Driver app with the volume on max makes it struggle to adjust the music volume properly. This is because the notification audio, which includes pings for incoming trips or alerts, automatically maximises by default. This happens even if you manually mute the audio.
For example, if you’ve muted your phone’s audio, you’ll notice that Uber pings will still temporarily raise and lower the audio every time a sound is played. This behaviour occurs because silent mode isn’t being used. Unlike simply muting the audio, silent mode completely disables notification sounds.
What seems to be happening is that the audio streams for Spotify (music) and the Uber notifications (navigation or pings) conflict with each other. There are likely two separate audio channels at play here: 1. Music channel (Spotify) 2. Notification channel (Uber Driver app pings and navigation)
The Uber Driver app prioritises notifications over music. However, if the music volume is set to its maximum, the app appears unable to manage both channels simultaneously, leading to the issues described.
The solution I found is to mute the volume bar before opening the Uber Driver app or using Bluetooth. By muting the audio, you allow the music to play uninterrupted as it’ll reset to its own channel instead of having the two conflict. Navigation instructions still come through clearly and Spotify music, but the app no longer attempts to manage both audio streams at once (as long as you mute the audio — not silent the audio — before connecting to Bluetooth)
If you’re experiencing similar issues, I’d recommend trying this fix. It’s not ideal, as Uber should improve the app’s audio handling, but it’s a practical workaround for now.

Full scrub, drain, and refill. Refilled through the filter. Pump 1 runs. Pump 2 cycles on and off in about 1-1.5 second bursts, but will not turn on and run at full speed to purge like pump 1. It stays in the purge cycle (1 sec on and off). I’ve power cycled multiple times with hours long off times.
If I change the temperature, the pump will run at low speed the entire time I am cycling temperature without an issue.
There has never been a problem with running the pump before this and it ran prior to draining yesterday.
I am maintaining this for tenants while my landlords are traveling. I don’t know the model and need to do some deconstruction to remove side panels.
Looking for recommendations and feedback on what to do. (Technically inclined, I’ve been a field service tech in a few industries. I have limited access to the tenant’s space and I’m trying to minimize my disruptions and want to avoid ripping everything apart as they clearly didn’t consider having to service this at any point)

I've been looking for a new game to play with my new Pixel 9 Fold, but I feel like a lot the games I find on the play store nowadays are one or multiple of the following: generic, low budget, gacha, open world, idle rpg, merge, clone, overly complex.
I want something that feels actually interesting and unique like Cut the Rope or Angry Birds from back in the day when mobile gaming was still new. These were charming games that tried to take advantage of the platform they were on.
Is this what it feels like to get old? :P

I feel like I’m at the hospital just to pump. I’m busting my ass trying to increase my milk supply and I really want to be successful. My twins were born at 24+2 and are now 29+2. I feel like I’m just always in the chair attached to the pump or washing the parts. I’m able to participate in cares sometimes since I can schedule around that, but the nurses come in to give them shots or take their blood and I want to comfort them so bad but I’m just stuck to the chair watching them comfort my kids. They are now on opposite sides of the unit due to one baby being sicker than the other. I can count on one hand how many times I’ve been able to hold them (combined). I usually don’t mention it because the nurses want us to hold for a long period time since it’s such a chore to get them out with the jet ventilator. My husband held one of them for 4 hours straight last week. I’m not able to do that because I have to pump every 2-3 hours. Pumping actually takes 30-45 minutes with cleaning everything so it’s not like I have 3 hours of free time between sessions. It’s so hard to be able to be able to eat, pump, and be able to take care of them. Any advice would be great because I’m drowning and feeling so guilty.
