2025.01.24 23:31 DansbyMVP2020 My Pixel 4a Battery Replacement Debacle
First time poster, longtime lurker on this sub here. I've been rocking the 4a since the fall of 2020 and without a doubt, it's been my all time favorite smartphone. The size, the form factor, the way it makes it a breeze to manage my life and work commitments, I've loved it immensely. So it was with some trepidation that I received the recent email from Google about this out of the blue "update" for the 4a. I decided I wanted no part of this update, I was quite happy with the status quo and I took measures to make sure it would not download to my phone. Despite that, the update was forced on me this past week.
So this week has been spent going back and forth with Google "Support". I wish I could say that the Google agents that I've dealt with were merely incompetent but that's too mild. I've decided that they are actually evil lol. It's been perhaps the most infuriating experience I've had dealing with customer service reps in my life. They're forcing me to accept the $100 towards a new Pixel phone. That's not what I want at all. I want the battery replacement option. But Google is maintaining that at some point in this process, I clicked the $100 option and that has been processed and it cannot be reversed under any circumstances. No amount of reasoning nor requests for escalation will cause them to change their minds. It's set in stone. "You can no longer change the appeasement you chose" is their constant mantra.
So here I am in this sub, completely out of answers. As of right now, my case is in the hands of a "higher specialist" and they're investigating. I'm supposed to hear back within 24-48 hours. That clock started yesterday morning. I fully anticipate that I will be turned down yet again so I plan to start a Reddit Request when I hear back from them. This post is to start that request process.

Hey all!! Hope everyone is doing okay :) I tagged this as a TW bc it’s my first time posting here so I’m not sure if this qualifies or not but wanted to be safe just in case. I’ve been abusing lax pills through this illness and have been trying to transition to MiraLAX instead of pills because my doctor said they were a better option for my physical health, but I have eaten a TON recently in the past couple of days and made a huge mistake. I tried to purge this with taking 12 lax pills two nights ago and last night I took 8. However, I haven’t pooped. Like at all. And I know I’m constipated, cause I can feel it, but I legit cannot poop even with the lax pills.
Does anyone know why this is or what I can do to alleviate the pain and poop? My mind is trying to take me to “worst case scenario” that I won’t ever poop again or smth, which is obvi false but my anxiety is running with it. Help pls??

Hey guys, I'm a 32 M fully qualified electrician since 2015 (began apprenticeship in 2012) with Arctick license ( 7 years domestic experience mostly with new houses and 5 years industrial experience working with gantry cranes). I have just moved to Brisbane (Redcliffe) since August 2024, I have just been making a living on crypto since then but now im considering starting my own electrical business in domestic based work but I don't really know where to start after I get the contractors license.

A friend shared libraries on his Plex with me.
In my house, I have use Plex Home to set up accounts for everyone individually, as that helps with watch lists. I also don't let others use my primary account, as that can let them change settings. Unfortunately, I don't see any way to access my friend's libraries from any login other than the primary one.
Is there a way to do this?
