2025.01.24 23:30 figurativelyonfire For owners of the MM, MM+ and the A30 -
I’ve been eyeing the A30 since its release, I love the idea of the joystick and how comfortable many people say it is. However, I already own both the MM and MM+ and use OnionOS on a single SD card between the two, which has me more than satisfied so far.
As much as I love the look and the form factor of the A30, I’m off-put by not being able to pop all my games and saves in to it like going from the Mini to the Plus.
Would love to hear from people who own or have experience with all three.

2025.01.24 23:30 DapperDanMan6969 AITA for changing my sons classes because a teacher has a pitbull service dog.
I feel like i'm in a lose-lose situation. My son is in 1st grade and his teacher came back this semester with a Service Dog that is a Pitbull. This dog was not around the 1st semester of the school year. We really liked this teacher and was happy with her.
However, I don't want my son around a Pitbull every day all day. Over winter break the class was notified that Ms. Teacher would be having an ADA okayed, Task Trained Service Dog in the classroom. It assured the dog was safe and well behaved. I was not a fan of this and immediately responded asking for further information.
Thats when I was told it was a pitbull for the teacher's PTSD. We requested that he move to another 1st grade class. Which my son is fine with, his friend from Soccer is in the new class. We informed the school we'd likely be making a school change over this too if the teacher comes back next year. I talked to some other parents about it and they have no concerns, which feels crazy to me. The teacher has essentially called me ableist for pulling my kid from her class in an email she sent me. Am I the asshole here?

I’m doing a biology field research study abroad program in Galapagos in a little over a month. I’m looking for gear recommendations that you would consider essentials for field use. I’m planning on a SeaFrogs underwater enclosure for snorkeling. I’ve got an extra battery and I think the one SD card I got will be sufficient so long as I’m offloading each evening. Between the enclosure and camera, I’m pretty tapped out as far as budget, so I’m not really looking for non essentials. I think my two main concerns are options for general protection while carrying outside a bag and options for shooting in the rain since that’s a decent probability.
Oh, also, tutorial programs/videos or the like would be sweet too.

 | I assume since Steam VR is made by Steam, its own game recording software would be smart enough to know NOT to record the Steam VR Status window, but it does. (Its like this bug: https://www.reddit.com/SteamVcomments/16ee5vx/sharing_vr_game_in_discord_only_shows_status/ ) And if I set game recording to specifically not record steam VR, it will not record VR Chat at all when in VR mode. It will record VRchat when I am in desktop mode however without issue. I'm empathetic, I care a lot about my self-respect, and I'm anti-social. I usually prioritize openness and honesty over politeness. I've spent a lot of time thinking about human nature to try to figure out why people are the way they are. This has caused me to become increasingly more self-aware and incompatible with most people over time. The flaws they can't see in themselves have become increasingly more noticeable and annoying to me. I specifically think most people are too socialized, arrogant, and tend to think with their emotions rather than with logic. I would like to find people that share this understanding and feel the same way about it. Consistently, my favorite people have thought they're boring. "Boring" personalities come across as more genuine to me. Also, I'm an INTJ and have noticed that I get along best with INFJs and other INTJs.

2025.01.24 23:30 No_End_919 Is this a mixed episode?
I don’t have the right words to even describe how I am feeling exactly but I’m going to try. I have been waking up multiple times in my sleep and when I finally wake up I’m exhausted but can’t go back to sleep. I have a slight bit of energy in the morning but it still isn’t much, then I switch to exhaustion again. Still even if I want to I cannot sleep, yet have no energy to do quite literally anything. Then I’ll be annoyed by this state and want to do something but just not be able to fully get myself to be interested enough to muster up the right amount of energy to do so. So I am stuck in a state of dissociation almost with my mind on and off racing to thoughtless and my body nearly motionless. This lasts all day and by night sometimes I’ll get another slight surge in energy but still not enough to get much done. Then I’ll be exhausted and ready for bed and when I go to lay down I cannot fall asleep until my eyes feel like they are gonna fall out of my head. It’s making me miserable and causing me to have dark thoughts about myself because I feel useless or like I’m going insane.
