just thinking about having children drains me. children will exhaust the life out of u, and I've seen it firsthand. every time I explain to a parent that I don’t want one, they counter me w, 'It’s not all bad. sometimes it’s rewarding.' but those few rewards don’t outweigh the endless responsibility—the exhaustion, the constant worry, the loss of freedom. even if you're financially, emotionally, or physically ready for it, raising a child is still an endless cycle of sacrifice, and it won’t always be enough. being in a family where everyone has 3-6 children and is extremely religious is something. they’ll pressure u into having kids just because their god says so, and it feels suffocating. ultimately, I find solace in the autonomy to shape my own life, free from the societal and religious pressures that seek to impose a path I don’t believe in.
honestly, just get a cat. they don’t need u to sacrifice everything to care for them, just your wallet lol
