Besides The Return of Twin Peaks of course. I like season 1 of White Lotus a lot, but the second season (as I get ready to watch it for the fourth time since it aired) is so damn special to me. It’s absolute perfection.

Esse ano eu queria ir no TheDevConf em São Paulo, que vai rolar em março. Ano passado fui com dois amigos meus pra esse evento que rolou em Florianópolis, eu achei maravilhoso, e queria repetir a dose esse ano indo pra SP. Só que esses dois amigos meus deram pra trás pq o investimento seria maior (ano passado deu por volta de 800 pra cada no total, esse ano sairia por volta de 1.5k (pra menos do que pra mais), já que iríamos de avião) e minha outra amiga que queria ir deu pra trás hoje pq o namorado não queria ir.
Infelizmente sou uma mulher consequente e não tenho coragem de fazer uma viagem dessas sozinha, e agora fico amoada e frustrada pq não consigo fazer algo tão simples como ir num evento tech em outra cidade sozinha sem ficar com medo de ser um alvo fácil pra algum crime.
As vezes eu só queria ser um homem pra ser um pouco inconsequente nessas coisas e "dar a loka".
Imagino que aqui não deva ser o sub ideal para isso, peço desculpas antecipadamente.

2025.01.24 23:59 Charitzo "In Doom Eternal you felt like a fighter jet" - That's why it was good... Why change the gunplay philosophy?
Honestly I'm sad they've decided to go the other way in terms of pacing, verticality and the whole gunplay loop really.
Eternal was perfect because a casual could play at low difficulty and not have to worry about mobility, quick switching, combos, flame belch, grenades etc, just doesn't matter as much. It's just a shooter to them at low difficulty.
To me those systems are what made Eternal probably my favourite ever shooter. The game pushes you to get better. That is satisfying. The challenge of learning the rhythm of the gunplay loop at high difficulty was some of the most engrossing fun I've had in years.
Building levels around the idea of vertical gunplay and platforming created some of the most unique and fluid arenas that were fun to learn and replay.
I don't want another slow grounded shooter. I don't want to be a tank. It feels like they took the journalist / review comments to heart from Eternals launch, and made the new game easier to try and appeal to everyone
They even said in developers interviews after Eternals release they wanted to make people immersed by inducing a sense of flow and rhythm with all these systems, and they even acknowledged they achieved that. Now instead of expanding on it, they knee capped it?
DOOM has never been an easy ride. It's part of the game's character to be a challenge, even back to the originals.
Between this and no Mick, honestly I'm having a hard time getting excited. I don't want to be negative, I'm hoping it surprises me, I'm just really disappointed with all I've seen so far from the developer commentary.

I’m not even kidding when I say that I spent over a year just trying to have a relationship with a femboy and bro, that shit felt like mission impossible... I'm constantly played, cheated on or worse he had a girlfriend and I was unknowingly his side piece. And she didn't even believe me when I told her about what had gone on between us. Even when I sent her proof. Anyway. It really effected my self esteem. So I changed my standards. No sex before being in a relationship. I'm tired of giving up that intimate thing for temporary people. I won't date coworkers. If they take more than a day to respond I stop interacting with them. This one is controversial, but in this day and age we are all on our phones. If we're talking consistently, I think it's very disrespectful to not even get an update or even an "I'm busy with such and such". I won't date people who own dogs. And I won't date someone who obviously treats people different based on how they look. I used to be the friend that got ignored for my other prettier friends. Politics are important with who I date, but I can respect their choice of religious beliefs even though I'm agnostic. And I can't date someone who doesn't have goals that they are actively reaching for.
A lot of my issues have a lot to do with how I feel about myself and my self esteem. I don't want to lower any of my standards. I've been single for 4 years now. I'm sure I can handle longer.
But the point is, I'm tired of being lonely. I see happy couples I want to feel what they feel. But with my person.
I wish I could experience young dating. This isn't something I want to miss out on. It's not that I think I wont be just as happy dating in my older years, but I want to settle down with someone that I CAN grow old with. I'm afraid that I'll be single for a long time. And can't seem tk figure out why.

example:
someone works 3 days a week part time at a job, for over 5 years, so they get 3 weeks off per year vacation right?
last year, 3 weeks off was interpreted as 15 days (5 days a week*3=15 days). but they had this rule where if you missed an entire week of work (3 days for this example), it would count as a week.
so people could kind of "game" it and take 1/3 or 2/3 days off per week and maximize the 15 days instead of just getting 9 days off.
this year they changed the rules. so that if you only work 3 days, 3 weeks would be interpreted as 9 days off.
now the BC law is kind of ambiguous to how to interpret this...
is there any concrete way to interpret this or is the 9 days pretty concrete and standard in terms of interpretation?
any help would be appreciated, thanks.

The question is whether Loki is supposed to be underage.
He's technically 63, but giants age much, much slower than humans. We see Gerd and Hajrudin in Big Mum's flashback. They're 12 and 18 respectively, but still appear to be kids similar to the 5 year old Linlin.
The giants who do look old, Jorul and Jarul, are said to be 350 years old. If we say they resemble 80 year olds, you arrive at an estimate that giants age around 25% as fast as humans. If we assume giants mature proportionately, that would technically make giants minors well into their 60s by giant standards.
If we apply that to Loki: 63/4 is a bit less than 16, which would mean he's the giant's equivalent age of 16. He also doesn't seem to act very mature (although I admittingly assume they're setting him up to having been scapegoated).
I get they expect a lot of him, like that he gets married to Lola at such a "young" age. But tbh, Lola herself was 16 when she fled the engagement, as was Pudding in WCI. That seems to be a legit age to marry according to Big Mom's policies.
It also appears extreme to lock up a "underage" boy. But tbh, Momonosuke, Vivi, and Rebecca (who were in a similar role of being disgraced princess') were all similarly castigated for their (made-up) crimes, and they also were minors. That seems to be common in the One Piece world.
Anyone care to agree or disagree?
