Introduction Not many have seen it; some have heard its call. Perhaps it was nothing more than a trick of the mind. An enigma of human imagination, a single thought that sparks the creativity of our society: The Great One.
Part One: Devin’s Great Diarrhea Dysfunction In the great confines of a toilet stall, Devin found himself enduring a rather awkward case of indigestion. In one hand, he held a holy roll of toilet paper, wrapped around his fingers with precision; in the other, a pink bottle of Pepto-Bismol.
Devin was ready to meet The Great One. However, as he began ascending the stairs of truth, an odd sound rumbled deep within his stomach. He thought to himself, It might just be nerves. However, the truth smelled far more sinister than any horror playing out in his imagination. Each step was more challenging than the last. “Why are there so many damn stairs to see The Great One?” he grumbled.
Clutching every ounce of strength, he climbed inch by inch, centimeter by centimeter. “By The Great One, I should not have eaten that taco from Bell Taco!” Little did Devin realize, this was indeed a test of endurance devised by The Great One. Perhaps it was a form of devotion, unseen by others before him. The Great One awaited Devin’s arrival.
With tears in his eyes and a twinkle of hope, Devin kept trudging up the golden stairs of love. He knew that with every step closer to the top, he came closer to meeting his maker. But the challenges had only just begun. As he put his right foot down, a foul odor began to rise from deep within. Clutching his right cheek, he screamed, “Oh Great One, if this is your challenge to test my worth, then I accept it with all my heart, my soul, and my mind!”
But something slipped again—this time, louder than the last. Devin’s eyes widened in horror. How could something so blasphemous echo throughout the golden stairs of The Great One? Will he accept me for the blasphemer I am? Devin thought. Am I even worthy to stand in his presence?
He closed his eyes as his stomach continued to rumble. When he opened them again, the golden stairs of love had diverged into two separate paths. A hallway stretched before him, marked by a sign: Faithful to the left and Blasphemer to the right.
Devin knew naturally which path to take—he was indeed worthy and faithful to The Great One. With trembling hands, he opened the door of faith. What he found beyond was beyond human comprehension.
By the Great One who grants me the honor of being His disciple, You who grant me mercy!
With tears in Devin’s eyes, he opened the toilet of acknowledgment, sliding the lock to "Occupied." Inside, to the left, he found a pink bottle labeled Pepto-Bismol. To the right, he found four-ply toilet paper. Devin wrapped the paper around his fingers with precision; in his other hand, he held the pink bottle of Pepto-Bismol.
Oh Great One, accept my offering!
The release was euphoric, like a dam crushed by the mighty force of the water it was meant to contain. Devin was cleansed of his blasphemy. With a sigh of relief, he slid the lock to "Open," ready to ascend the golden stairs of love and embrace the Great One.

2025.01.24 23:31 GrassIZgreenuh Did Not Switch to v3 Extension - LUNA Now Missing
Panicking a bit. I went to Terra Station to check my LUNA balance only to find it state under my Mainnet account "This account doesn't hold any coins yet." I still have USTC that shows up under Classic though.
I saw that I was supposed to switch to the Station Extension before Dec 31, 2024. I guess foolishly I thought I'd be fine because I wasn't planning to move my LUNA since it was still delegating, so I did not switch over prior to Dec 31. I just now tried to get set up with the new Station v3 Dashboard/Extension, but with no success. I tried to "Import Wallet" and used my 12 word Recovery Phrase. It seemed like it was going to take it, but then goes to a Select Wallet screen that reads "Select the wallet derivation path you would like to use" and has an aminated station flying through the air. Nothing further happens and there's nothing for me to select.
I tried using the Edge extension and got the same exact results. I tried downloading the Station mobile app for iPhone and before I even get to a screen that asks for my recovery phrase, it states "Too many requests. Try again later."
I saw in another post that someone mentioned Keplr. I tried the import wallet feature there. It accepted my recovery phrase, but none of my LUNA showed up.
I'm at a loss. Any advice on what to do?

I was removed and didn’t present for the TMP in AP Seminar due to circumstances that I won’t get into here. But, I’m very strong on the practice EOCs we do, and I submitted a good IRR, and my IWA and IMP are also likely going to be high schoring. Is it still possible to get a 5 in the class?

2025.01.24 23:31 Imsmart-9819 PhD admissions rejection feedback (USA)
I applied for the PhD program in Plant biology at UC Berkeley and UC Davis. I've been rejected from both. I also haven't gotten an interview request from any other program yet. Someone told me that if I hadn't gotten an interview request by this point, I probably wouldn't make it into any program. If that's the case, this is my third year of getting rejected from a PhD program. It's been a long-time dream of mine, and I want to figure out what I'm doing wrong and how to get into a program. I emailed the UC Berkeley grad admissions program, pleading for their feedback on my application. So far, I can think of these reasons why I failed:
- Bad undergrad GPA: My undergrad GPA was 2.98. Granted, this was in 2014, which is eleven years ago. Since then, I've had four years of job experience at biotech companies, spent three years volunteering in labs, and earned a master's degree, earning a GPA of 3.90. I thought all of this would overcome my bad grades from eleven years ago. But maybe not.
- Applying to overly competitive schools: I keep applying to overly competitive schools like UC Berkeley and UC Davis. Perhaps no matter what I do, I won't have a chance at these schools. How do I scope out a school I have a chance at then? Do I research their attendance numbers? I applied to Arizona State University and thought I had a good chance of getting accepted. But they haven't emailed me back either, which I take as a rejection.
- Not being targeted enough in my statement: I didn't spend enough time last year reaching out to professors and getting their feedback. I could've written my statement with them in mind if I had done that. And also get their support during my admissions process. I'm always nervous when I email professors, partly because I avoided it a lot last year.

Before some of you will comment, when I am talking about sexualization, I am not referring to those that call idols “hot” or something, so don’t be dense, you know what I mean.
Most of the time, when someone discusses idol sexualization particularly male idols the comments often revolve around statements like, “It’s just marketing” or “That’s the idol’s purpose” and so on. However, when it comes to female idols sexualization, there tend to be more negative reactions, such as ‘It’s disgusting!’ etc.
I’m not here to say “Let’s stop sexualization” or “Sexualization both it’s not a big deal” but I do believe that if you hold a specific stance, you should apply that same to both. If you despise female sexualization, then you should despise male sexualization as well. If you think sexualization isn’t a big deal, then you should keep this mentality for both. If you have double standards, I’m sorry, but I won’t take you seriously because you’re applying your morals only when it’s convenient for you.

I am doing this in React, but regardless concepts should be the same.
I have ul with li items
The ul is set as the root
The li items are being observed. They are the entries.
Removing Items: When the screen width shrinks, which causes the last li element to collide with the edge of ul (aka isIntersecting is false), I .pop() off the item into a popover.
Adding Items Back: But the problem is adding items back…so since I popped the observed item, I can no longer check if it is isIntersecting to add items back when screen width increases.
So do I actually have to always keep the items there even if I push them in the popover? And just change CSS visibility to none? But I don’t know for screen readers this will register as duplicate nav item. I believe CSS hidden wouldn’t be observable.
