 | I’m trying to replace my old tub drain. This old one is pictured and probably the original one from the 80s along with the plumbing it screws in to. The threads appear to be about 2in across, maybe 1 7/8th. I already bought a new drain from Home Depot that was smaller and came with a plastic bushing but even with the bushing on it was too small. To make laundry smell a little nicer, in place of using a dryer sheet But I'm wondering if it actually works, and if there's specific oils that are good for this (All I've read has been lavender, but I really am not a fan of the smell of lavender unfortunately) or if there's ones to stay away from in case they're like a skin irritant. Like what I specifically heard you do it add a couple drops to laundry balls and dry your laundry with those, and refresh with oil when the scent fades. Usually when I try to google about it, it's people putting essential oils in with their clothes during the wash cycle, which is not something I'm interested in trying.

2025.01.25 00:00 No-Rain-4114 Why does my clock only run properly without the pendulum attached and only at an angle?
Hi there everyone! I’ve had this clock about 2 years now, when I first bought it it ran for about an hour then stopped, then about half an hour, then 10 minutes and now it won’t even run for 30 seconds. The area I have it on is completely level and flat, yet it won’t run.
Tonight I was curious and started to see what was wrong because Im bothered that I have a clock that won’t work. I discovered that at around a 30 degree angle and without the pendulum the clock works perfectly, it runs and it strikes (I’ve never had a problem with the striking just that it wouldn’t run and tell time). But why is this? I can’t wrap my head around why it appears as though everything is completely fine but yet it won’t work under the conditions it was built for?
Any help would be much appreciated and any advice on how to get my clock running would be helpful!

I wasn't federally taxed enough and so now I have to pay a $25 penalty because I didn't pay enough. How can you penalize me for your own fault. On top of that, why do I owe SO MUCH?? I've always got a refund before which sure, interest free government loan blah blah blah but it's better than owing. How is it that I go from getting a refund of $300 to owing nearly $1000??
That's bullshit and I'm not filing my taxes. Better come after me, because you fucks aren't getting a dime.

2025.01.25 00:00 Darkbeetlebot What is your favorite self-imposed restriction to make the game more challenging?
My personal favorite restriction is that I have to make every planet self-sustaining. That means I have to try as hard as possible to make every planet not have any deficits in resources. If the planet has no agriculture districts, I have to use buildings to generate food. The only exception is if the colony has an orbital or starbase producing what it has a deficit in, with megastructures counting.
My next favorite is the one-planet challenge or the one-system challenge, and sometimes both together. I like this playstyle so much that I got a bunch a building slot expansion mod to make it more interesting, but that's beside the point.
My third favorite is limiting my ships to only using certain types of builds. For example, only using ESC and Vanilla's biological/space fauna components when playing a hive mind, or only using energy and shields when playing a spiritualist empire.
Another is to only ever use energy and the market to gain resources. Dyson Spheres. Dyson Spheres everywhere.
