weird question but is there something in the water in halifax that makes pasta extra starchy?
my partner and i are visiting (from BC) and we cooked pasta the other night and it turned out super starchy. I thought it was weird but we had bought a cheaper type of pasta that i haven’t used before so i thought it was maybe that.
now tonight we’ve just made KD and it’s also super starchy. I grew up on KD and even overcooking it it had never turned gummy like this before. we eat pasta a lot and the only common denominator i can think of would be the water in the house we are staying in.

I’ve been playing this game for a couple months, and I just discovered this sub existed. I’ve seen a lot of people mention the telepods glitch.
Can someone explain to me how it works? Is there a way to do it without actually owning any telepods (like scan a qr code that mimics the telepod)?
Also are there any other glitches to unlock characters/ currencies for free? It takes forever to unlock anything, even though I play daily.

Hi! I’m hoping to get a few books for my niece who is in her early teens. She is a very sweet girl, but has grown up quite sheltered and privileged. I would really love some book suggestions that help provide unique cultural perspectives or just diversity from the stereotypical majority.
My goal is for books that are very clean/PG, (maybe PG-13 max) so nothing with sex scenes, extreme violence, language, etc. I don’t want her parents to feel like I’m trying to “indoctrinate” her, but I DO want to help her discover more perspectives outside of her current circles of exposure.
She has previously enjoyed books by Louisa May Alcott, and in general seems to enjoy realistic historical fiction, or even “diary” style books.
My first instinct was some of the “Dear America” books. Does anyone have any other suggestions or similar categories that I should look into? Thank you so much!
