After perusing this sub I’m starting to wonder if histamine intolerance may be my issue, or part of it. My main symptoms started at extreme chronic fatigue and overall body soreness. Since then I’ve progressed to having extremely sensitive and dry skin on my face. A rash that seems to appear at random on my hips, knees, elbows. The feeling of a constantly stuffed nose and post nasal drip. Very Painful stomach cramps and bloating and fluctuating between constipation and urgency. I also suffer from mental health issues. I was diagnosed with fibromyalgia after labs came back normal but this never really sat right with me. Is histamine intolerance something doctors can or will test for? What tests should I request? What else would be a good starting place for me to confirm if this is my issue? Ive been struggling for nearly twenty years and have almost given up.

I’m 26M and am just about to finish a master’s degree in finance at a pretty good school. I took a circuitous route to get here - I finished undergrad in 2020, got a job covering news at a major network only to find out my dream job was terrible and going to kill me sooner rather than later, so I left reporting and took the first high paying job I could get - as a tech recruiter. I did really well, got a really cool job at a startup, helped build the company from the ground up and got exposed to all kinds of legal/compliance topics. The startup worked on models and model monitoring for financial systems, so I got to do a ton of fraud and machine learning work that really made me want to go down a compliance route. I got laid off before my grad program started, and I took another job doing recruiting (nominally) but really helping build out a massive sales organization and all the compliance/support that went along with that. Now that I’ve done my master’s, I realize I want to fully pivot into AML/sanctions/compliance type work, and I have a strong academic background in it from my graduate work and relevant certifications. But when I’m looking at roles, I’m wondering if I can paint the tech work as being relevant especially as I had VERY broad responsibilities at both companies I worked at. I really don’t want to be accused of lying or have a problem on my background checks, but I also don’t want to not be able to get good roles out of my program. What should I do?

Ethanol has a much lower freezing point then water, a mixture of water and ethanol also has a lower freezing point. So if ethanol is placed on ice even as it becomes diluted with water it will still keep melting the ice so long as its above the freezing point of the mixture.
Various salts, and or a brine mixture is often used currently for de-icing jobs but this has negative effects on the environment, nearby soil, and water supplies.
A cheap mass produced ethanol solution would be better for the environment and very economical as usually most the cost of ethanol is from taxes, branding, marketing etc from liquor companies. Since this is a de-icer and not for people to drink it shouldn't be taxed, and could be made for just a few dollars a gallon.

Hello fellow travelers,
On Wednesday I was traveling from Isabela to SJU to fly home after a wonderful vacation. We briefly stopped at Mar Chiquita in Manati on our way. As I arrived at the airport I realized I must have left my backpack on the beach. I unfortunately did not have enough time to return to the beach before departure.
Luckily I had most of my belongings. Unluckily; my keys to my car parked at PVD airport were in said bag. Fortunately I had a spare at home and was able to retrieve my car.
Is anyone on this sub planning a visit to Mar Chiquita or Manati in the near future? The beach seemed quiet on Wednesday but not sure if it gets busier on weekends. I would gladly compensate anyone who finds my bag and can help reunite it with me in Massachusetts. I know this is a long shot.
I believe my bag was left leaning against a palm tree, directly in front of the Pina colada vendor, about halfway between the vendor and the water.

Not that I expected either of them to act like parents but I'm having surgery on Jan 28th for a full thyroid removal and neither of my parents has made an effort to reach out. Well I guess that's not quite true. Since I left her. My mom or her flying monkeys have called to tell my sister I'm on meth, I've stolen jewelry and money and that I'm lying about having cancer. Worst thing about it is I miss her sometimes. Not the crazy mom or the love bombing mom the mom. I guess TBH I'm missing something I never really had. I'm lucky though I walked away with my relationship with my sister and one brother still intact. Out of 7 of us kids at least 3 of us have seen the light or glimpsed the person behind the persona.
