2025.01.25 00:40 Powerful-Form-6817 My coworker was saying some wild stuff—is it something to be concerned about?
I work as an EMT and my partner for the day was this 45 year old married man. He talked about how his religion believes in having multiple wives. (Which is fine, his beliefs are his beliefs).
But…then he started asking me what country I was from. And when I told him he asked how much tickets were, if the people there were nice, how the women were, how much property cost etc.
And then he revealed: he wanted his second wife from my country, because he apparently liked my “thought processes and how I was raised”??
I literally met him yesterday for the first time…
I got weirded out and throughout the day he was asking about what my plans were for the future. And when I told him that I was planning on having my mom live with me after I get my masters, he tried to argue against it and to let her go back to my home country (I never insinuated she wanted to)?
It was very bizarre, but he is a very kind person otherwise. Am I looking too much into this? Is he just kinda weird but overall harmless??

Hello! My good old trusted Deuter GOGO 25l backpack has finally breathed its last, so now I'm in a search for a new backpack for everyday use. I commute by bicycle almost daily, but also have my backpack with me for short walks or when going out with friends. None of my previous bags had a hipbelt before, so I'm really uncertain about it. I really got my eye on the Osprey Sportlite 25l, but the hipbelt is really a compromising aspect, because of course comfort is great, but I do not want to look dorky or stupid when taking a scroll in the city with an almost empty bag. I do sometimes go on day hikes, but out of all the use for the backpack, it only takes up 15%. Would it be irrational in my situation to buy a backpack with a hipbelt, and should i look more into Daylite Plus, or go for it with Sportlite? Thank you.

So I have no idea what I want to do (not even a general area of interest) granted I'm a junior in HS so I do have time but with the college conversation picking up I would like to ask this question: Is community college the best option for me? I'm an international student and I really like the flexibility of the US college system since you have the undecided option and it will be cheaper for my family. Or should I just apply to a university and go undecided there? I'm honestly not even sure if I want to go to college lol I guess it's just the standard thing people seem to do once they graduate HS lol. Also idk what else to do? I guess I could get a job but it won't be that good pay-wise I think. Also, my parents want me to go. We haven't really talked about it much it's just always just been a quiet assumption. So yeah I do feel like it'll be good for me to go. My parents want me to go to Europe (specifically Amsterdam) cuz I have a European passport + it's cheaper but I'll have to pick my major right away there and changing is VERY difficult. Please help I don't want to end up doing something I hate for the rest of my life 😭.
