I've become a bit ADHD obsessed with this festival, watching tons of YouTube videos, the Netflix doc and reading what reports I can find. I've definitely read some interesting first hand reports from attendees and workers, but what I've yet to find is a proper trip report. Watching footage and reading about this festival, I can't help but think what an experience (possibly nightmarish one) it would've been tripping at WS99... curiosity has definitely got the best of me here lol.
The lack of security at the event is no secret, and it seems to be widely accepted that there was an excess of every kind of drug imaginable (beyond the typical scope of festivals... which is saying something). So with over a quarter million people there and easy access to psychedelics, there has to be a proper Erowid-style trip report out there. With how young the internet was in '99 I'm sure that wasn't a thing at the time like it is today (I was only 2 at the time, I wouldn't know), but just based on sheer volume there has to be a written account of someone's experience and their internal psychedelic landscape during the events of WS99. Anyone got any leads?

I'm a gen z kid, I was born in 2007 like many, and when I was growing up I learned about a lot of good games like Minecraft, Black Ops 2, etc. and then when 2017 came around everybody dropped black ops 2 like it was nothing (it's a great game with a great story imo) and went to play the unoriginal trash heap we know as Fortnite. I never understood trends at this age, and I didn't understand why everyone dropped a cool game with excellently written plot and characters for a game that looks like something a smaller developer would make in 2024 for sh*ts and giggles. I hate how Fortnite rips off literally anything it can get it's grabby little hands on, and turn something I love into absolute garbage. As an attempt to fit in with society, and because my friends I met online in Minecraft would only play Fortnite, I tried it. It was overrated and I came in during the time where they were doing their marvel crap. I absolutely hated the self-inserted Fortnite characters standing alongside characters I knew from my childhood and loved for years. It felt like it was a copyright claim waiting to happen, but how and why did companies allow them to use their characters for a shitty game? It doesn't make sense, this game turns kids into brainrotted fools who use their mother's credit cards so Fortnite can leech off of their players' parents hard earned money for cringy dance moves and terribly recreated skins of familiar characters. It breaks my heart to see shitty games like Fortnite take over the gaming industry and make people brainless mfs with no unique qualities in their personality. Then among us came around, made by the absolute gems who created the Henry Stickman series, and then Henry Stickman is dropped just like black ops 2, and among us is suddenly creating a cult of idiots who think "sus" is a word. I feel like life isn't real and I'm surrounded by actual NPCs with no actual personality other than to hop on the bandwagon for trendy crap. It's been so bad that people are killing themselves in tik tok challenges, the only thing this generation is half smart enough to see is bad. Plus older people think we say the gen alpha slang because people in our generation are dumb enough to pick up on it. I've genuinely lost my hope in society and I'm getting depressed the more I think about the future of this world.

I'm looking for a Sci-Fi anime based on a line from an Interview. The Interview comes from the Xenoblade Chronicles X Artbook (Art of Mira) and is in relation to the Level Design where one of the devs rewferences a "Famous" Sci-Fi anime. The Anime in question must have came out earlier then 2012 as thats when Development for the game originally began. Can someone please tell me what Anime the dev is talking about. A rough translation from the interview will be provided below:
"Arai Ko: In this area, there were people who were remodeling the planet through terraforming. However, one day an incident occurred, and they abandoned the facilities and left… The setting that only exists on this continent where you die instantly if you fall into the abyss is related to that incident. There is a famous sci-fi anime in which “if you are swallowed by a fossil nebula, you will turn to stone”, and that kind of gas is coming out of the ground."

 | Hello everyone, I have experimented a lot with dying my own hair and there were a many things I didn’t know about removing color, so the part circled in red is fragile. I started seeing a professional and we have done three sessions so far bleaching new growth. She used some sort of gentler bleaching process that involves using the roots’ heat. (I’m not sure what that is.) On the second session, I was not happy with the pink because it came out peach because there was no toner done before applying the pink so I had to go to another professional, and he redid everything. I am not sure what process he did to do that. Then on the third session with my original stylist, I think we did the same process as the first one, but not sure. I want to work toward a halo effect—colorful lighter hair on top and darker colored hair underneath (as in the third pic). I had a consultation with my to Samiti Clist and she did a test strand and that is shown in the second picture and she is holding the test strand at 10. I’m not sure for how long she developed the volume for, but that was the weakest bleaching she did and it breaks right at the circle. I am wondering if it is because she bleached the entire strand, but I’m confused as to why it’s breaking so high up. I’ve told her I only want to do lighter color at the very new growth and possibly the areas that we’ve bleached together (circled in green and purple in the first picture). I am very confused as to why my stylist says I can’t do light color at the very new growth. Could someone please provide an explanation? I thought she was pretty safe with how she bleached my hair in the areas under the purple and green circles. I would love some advice on how I can get toward my goal! But I was apart of a page called BettyRageSnark… and realized someone had posted a post about a tiktok video that the woman who we snark about (Telissa) made about a comment of mine on her TikTok… I asked the mods politely to remove it and instantly received backlash for being “fans” of certain members of the family this snark group snarks of… which isn’t the case… and wasn’t my intent. Also, the amount of messages I have received from “moderators” of this page saying God awful things about me, my family… etc… is just beyond disturbing. One even went to the lengths of contacting a suicide hotline for MY mental health? All because I wanted a post removed off their subreddit…. You really cannot make this stuff up.
Yes, I definitely got heated in dms… and I usually don’t talk that way, but these people are BEYOND psychotic. BEWARE

What is the in your opinion most effective way of practicing nades? I am happy about whichever is your honest opinion, doesnt matter whether its a website or service or workshop map or maybe even youtube videos. Simply the best vehicle of putting that knowledge into your brain the most efficiently.
