The wide angle cinematography from the perspective of a ghost roaming a house is quite haunting. It also keeps us at a distance from all the drama making even the most intense moments seem quite small. Seeking any insight into how this visual field is possible to create.
I’ve seen clever malingering patients create a false hemianopsic visual field — they just ignore the stimuli in one half of the field and respond to lights in the other half. That results in a high number of false negatives, creating a total deviation map that mirrors the pattern standard deviation map.
I’ve seen “happy clickers” — they just like clicking the button, resulting in a uniformly elevated total deviation map and pattern standard deviation map.
I’ve seen patients who get fatigued — they respond normally to the seeding points, then get tired and start clicking randomly or stop clicking entirely, resulting in a cloverleaf pattern in which the central points are normal and the peripheral points are abnormally depressed or elevated.
I’ve never seen this — one hemifield is abnormally elevated (suggesting “happy clicking”) while the other hemifield is normal. To the best of my knowledge, this would require a patient to NOT CLICK ONLY when presented with subthreshold stimuli in one hemifield. Since the stimuli are subthreshold, there should be no way for the patient to know when they’re presented.
Wracking my brain over this one. What am I missing?

I had surgery 4 months ago and about a month ago I got a staph infection. I went to urgent care, took all the medication they gave me and it got better. Now it’s starting to look like it’s getting infected again (scabs forming, puss, and occasional liquid coming out). It’s not as bad as it was, and looks like it’s more irradiated than full infected again. I can’t afford to go back to the doctor. Is there anything I can do to try to treat it without seeing the doctor again?

Hey guys 19 yo here. I've been running chainsaws since I was 8, and owned my own at 14. We have some property and I help maintain. I've use several different quick tensioners, craftsman, poulan, green works, etc, but they all loosen after like 30 minutes. My question is do the Stihl ones work better? Cause when my dad got his ms25c-be we converted the saw to be a normal 250 tensioner system.

I've become a bit ADHD obsessed with this festival, watching tons of YouTube videos, the Netflix doc and reading what reports I can find. I've definitely read some interesting first hand reports from attendees and workers, but what I've yet to find is a proper trip report. Watching footage and reading about this festival, I can't help but think what an experience (possibly nightmarish one) it would've been tripping at WS99... curiosity has definitely got the best of me here lol.
The lack of security at the event is no secret, and it seems to be widely accepted that there was an excess of every kind of drug imaginable (beyond the typical scope of festivals... which is saying something). So with over a quarter million people there and easy access to psychedelics, there has to be a proper Erowid-style trip report out there. With how young the internet was in '99 I'm sure that wasn't a thing at the time like it is today (I was only 2 at the time, I wouldn't know), but just based on sheer volume there has to be a written account of someone's experience and their internal psychedelic landscape during the events of WS99. Anyone got any leads?
