At work I (30f) was taking with other coworkers and a conversation about online dating came up. I asked if it was worth it and my male coworker who I’m friends with (56m) who is single and divorced, got serious and went into a spiel about how I have to be careful, he wouldn’t want to see me get hurt. He said people online don’t care about your feelings and I’m a good kid, someone will like me. He said I have a good sense of humour and we all like you, everyone likes you. At first I thought he was being just nice but something felt odd because no one else tells me to be careful. In fact my brother and father encourage me to go online. But I’m probably reading too much into it

A few days ago, I posted about Books Inc. filing for bankruptcy, and now Rocket Reuse is having to leave its longstanding space. This is from Facebook:
We are devastated to announce that after over 15 years in our beloved Park Street location, our lease is up and our landlord is forcing us out so he can use the space. Our goal is to relocate to another retail space in Alameda, though we are realistic that rent may be prohibitive. Until we know whether we are moving or liquidating our inventory, all buying will be suspended. We are heartbroken. This space has been our second home. Daisy literally grew up in this store. Our family, but mostly Eric, has sacrificed everything for this business. He started it with his old boss as Blue Rectangle back in 2007, then when given the option to buy it, he sold his favorite classic car to help pay it off. He literally built this store from the ground up - rocket included. We have poured all of our savings into the shop to get us through COVID and its ongoing fallout (and never missed a rent payment, I might add). Needless to say, we don't want this to be the end of our story. How can you help? Keep shopping at the store and send leads of available retail spaces. I really liked the optimum case but I didn’t really like how the hall effect switches sound (I tried the Jade Pro and Jade Max). I decided to order a friction fit pad for my Tofu60 pcb and swap the pcb into the optimum case with Gateron Mini I switches. I decided to keep the Jade Pros and put the Wooting module in the tofu60 case with the friction fit pad. I’m really happy that everything fit and I’m also really happy with how everything came out sounding and looking! Bravo, your prediction seems to be correct. Wonder if they got insider information or if it was just that obvious, but he's in the Top 10 now and is just getting more and more screentime even though there's nothing that really warrants it (other than having future knowledge of who wins). Kind of obvious he's the winner now and I would probably bet $1000 on it

Dang this was a good read. I’m not super into the dark and gritty stuff but I happen to like Dexter, and this was compared to that. There’s some nuance to that comparison, but for the most part ya, Dexter but with furries. Glad I read it!

So I prepped with a med student and a question came up about a transgender woman wanting to join a women’s league, and the rest of the women complained. I didn’t mention anything about like biological differences in my answer and focused on EDI training but the med student said I should mention physiological diffs because it’s like a reasonable thing to address (but like word it properly)… what do we say here cuz I’m not tryna get flagged
