 | I noticed in West Seattle / White Center there are a lot, damn near none, immigrants walking around like their usually are. Usually there are from Middle East, Africa, etc. but the streets have been very quiet. Is it just me? Trump policies? Really curious if this is the new normal? When I was a kid immigration raids were very common - but all my border brothers still went to work, kids still went to school, there was concern, but not fear - and when there was a raid in the fields or at a packing plant, they'd just scream, "La migra! La migra!" and everyone dashed away, some were caught, most weren't, and they weren't shackled like we see now, prison style, they were just booked, and sent back. A co-worker just told me he didn't see anyone day laborers standing outside of Home Depot. Then I read the Border Patrol conducted unannounced raids throughout Bakersfield on Tuesday, descending on businesses where day laborers and field workers gather. Agents in unmarked SUVs rounded up people in vans outside a Home Depot and gas station that serves a breakfast popular with field workers: “We’re in the middle of our citrus harvesting. This sent shockwaves through the entire community,” said Casey Creamer, president of the industry group California Citrus Mutual, on Thursday. “People aren’t going to work and kids aren’t going to school. 2025.01.25 04:11 byudzai2 Are the pieces of Saniderm without the wavy cuts just trash? Is there any way to use those?
So the middle of the Saniderm sheet has those wavy cut lines so you can peel off both sides. But if you try to use a side piece that doesn't include those, it's all but impossible to peel the thick clear plastic off the thin clear plastic. Or is it? Am I missing something? Are there different kinds of saniderm/tegaderm etc that have more wavy cuts? I tried Googling this to no avail.
