'25 SEL FWD - Best Option?

Heading to the Houston AutoShow next weekend, looking to get a new vehicle, not 100% sure yet if I should go compact crossover or crossover-pickup.
Would like to stay under $35K, don't need to go anywhere fast, don't want a gas guzzler, but care a lot about reliability, comfort (soft ride), and practicality. FWD is fine, but I do like 8" or so of ground clearance or more.
Thoughts on why perhaps a '25 SC SEL FWD might be best option, or others you recommend looking at? Was also considering Maverick XLT Hybrid, Equinox LT AWD (afraid of CVT), and a Tucson Hybrid Blue.

I work in a restaurant row. Several of the places are ran by immigrants. Understandably it's been tense the past few days. If I notice agents coming in. How much trouble will I be in if I yell immigration, ICE ect incoming? Or if since I'm a little white blonde girl, just run around quietly telling each various kitchen and pop up, food truck in the area\building, and don't interact with agents at all.

3 of my extracted wisdom teeth have no pain and are seemingly almost all done healing lower right hole is almost completely closed. However lower right is still open a good amount and when I use the syringe to get food out it, it isn’t the most comfortable like the other 3. I got my car on Halloween. After about two weeks I got the error and took it in for service. They did the software update and turned me loose. No issues until this past week.
I took my car in to the dealer last Monday for it's 8000 mile checkup. No issues. Went to run some errands and was parked in a parking lot waiting for an appointment, not charging or plugged in.
Got the error again.
I was able to get it back in same day.
After 20 minutes, they came out and asked, "When did you get into a fender bender?" Confused, I asked "What makes you think I was in a fender bender?" He said that the charging door was out of alignment. I explained that happened on like day two of owning the car when I accidentally closed the charging door and didn't put the protective cap back on the DC prongs.
It ended up being an ordeal. Service manager brought me back to the car and him, the tech, and the service desk guy interrogated me trying to fabricate a story about how I must've gotten in an accident because there's no other possible reason why I'd be getting random charging errors when they scan the codes coupled with the door that doesn't sit flush by approximately 4mm.
They again pointed at the charging door which was slightly askew, and that there are some scuff marks around the CCS receptacle.
Astonished, I had to explain that plugging a giant cable in and out would cause some scuff marks around the receptacle. I then pointed to the entirety of the pristine rear right corner of the car where there was very clearly no damage to the body, paint, or plastic under the car... Nor was there any scratches or dents on the charging cover... And their charger plugged in easily and successfully began charging.
I also pointed out that the codes they are seeing are very likely due to an issue with the ICCU that has an active recall so it's not unreasonable that the software fix they performed did not fix the hardware issue.
Afterwords, I called and complained to the dealership and told them that blaming me for the charging error codes they were getting because my charging door was tweaked would be like blaming me for failing breaks because they found a nail in the tire.
I called to follow up today and they seemed to have backed off of blaming me for the errors, but they said they would likely return the car this coming Monday as they couldn't reproduce the error.
I gently reminded them that we aren't imagining the errors, because they literally scanned the car the day it happened and they know the error exists... Which can absolutely be attributable to the current active recall.
He said, "We just need solid evidence that this is the issue." I said, "So I guess the solid evidence will be my car will brick itself and you'll have to bring it in on a flatbed?"
"I hope it doesn't come to that."
Mind you he let me know when I first brought it in that hey have three dead Ioniq 5's in the shop besides mine.
I fucking love this car... But holy shit. What the fuck.

Hello, people of Reddit. “John” here even though he fucked up and used my real name in one of his comments that he then edited. I got sent a link to the account repeatedly posting about me and my girlfriend (yes, my GIRLFRIEND, even though he swears up and down she isn’t) this afternoon and it’s taken me a while to be able to decide what I’m going to say. So if he wants to continue to take this to the Internet for strangers to decide, I'll do that at this point. This is more or less a response post and people are welcome to call me an asshole if they feel they need/ want to.
Since everybody is apparently familiar with these fake names, due to the million posts he has made, I guess I’ll keep using them.
First of all, Colton (you don’t get a fake name) nobody one time ever told you that the bar was our first date. You decided that it was because you didn’t know better prior. You posted that post three weeks ago, and in it you were correct in saying that I met “Katie” at Haley’s dad’s house (you never gave your gf a fake name, so I will) a few weeks before that.
So that means that we met SIX weeks ago. Our first date was THE DAY AFTER I MET HER. Whether Haley knew this or not, I have no idea. It’s not something I ever bothered to ask Katie, because it didn’t seem important and still doesn’t.
Second, I don’t know why Haley told you about “Katie’s” previous sex life or lack thereof, but that was uncalled for and not her private business to share. It also wasn't your business to put out on the internet. More than that, I can’t even fathom how you managed to maneuver that question into a conversation with your own girlfriend. I doubt she just offered up the information.
Third, you kept commenting very adamantly in your first (and maybe second, I lost track) post that Katie definitely was NOT sleeping with me. Please allow me to put your (misplaced) concerns to rest since it's already out there and I've talked to Katie about posting this. Yes. She is. But the sleep comes after all the sex.
Fourth, let’s talk about how you “showed up” to get Haley’s sweater. You tried to barge into Katie’s apartment. The door was locked (which by the way, is a safety thing. You do know she could get out of the apartment even though it was locked from the inside right? I have to make sure because you’re not very smart). You threw what can only be described as a temper tantrum of the century. Not only that, but that was not the first time you’ve tried to do so when “dropping by to say hi”. You then decided to interrogate Katie on her front porch about whether or not she wanted me to leave. Not ONLY that, but (and you left this part out), you MESSAGED KATIE’S DAD whom you’ve never met a day in your life. Once Katie calmed him down a a he understood the situation. (He likes me a lot by the way, we have plans for golf next week). Also, you texted and called Katie so many times it was insane.
Fifth, when you kept dropping by repeatedly after all this when I was at work, you left out the fact that during the last “visit”, you went to the apartment manager’s office and said you were there to check on your friend and convinced her to GIVE YOU A KEY TO KATIE’S APARTMENT. You conveniently leave out the part where Katie got out of the shower and found you standing in her fucking kitchen while she was in a towel. I NEED you to understand that you scared the shit out of her. She called me while I was at work crying. I had to leave work, call my brother, went to rent a u-haul, and that was the day the three of us packed up all her shit in her house and she moved in with me.
Sixth, in your comments you’ve repeatedly said Katie wouldn’t “willingly” be with me. Buddy, she’s not chained in a basement. She has her own car and money and everything. Nobody has taken away any freedom she had before she and I got together.
Seventh, you mention in some of your comments that I have a “reputation” for being a fuck boy. I’m not even really going to address this, other than to say okay? And?
Eighth, you described me as cocky and arrogant, and you know what? I’ll give you that. I am, and I know I am. And you must think Katie is bottom of the barrel intelligence wise if you think she doesn’t know it, too.
Ninth, Katie QUIT HER JOB because you know where she works and she doesn’t wanna go back there. You can say a lot of things about me, and some of them might be true, but I can PROMISE you that I’m not the one Katie is afraid of. You are.
And lastly, stay away from my house. And stay away from Katie. Katie might be too nice and gentle to hurt your feelings. But I’m not.
So, am I really the asshole here? 😂
