Key Patterns of U.S. Imperialism
  1. Economic Interests: Many interventions were motivated by the desire to protect U.S. corporate profits, such as United Fruit Company in Guatemala or oil interests in the Middle East.
  2. Anti-Communism: The U.S. frequently intervened to overthrow socialist or leftist governments, as seen in Chile, Cuba, and Nicaragua.
  3. Regime Change: The U.S. has a long history of orchestrating coups and installing puppet regimes, as in Iran (1953) and Guatemala (1954).
  4. Military Dominance: The U.S. uses its military power to enforce its global hegemony, often under the guise of "democracy" or "human rights."
Conclusion The history of U.S. interventions is a history of imperialism, exploitation, and violence. These actions have caused immense suffering, destabilized entire regions, and undermined the sovereignty of nations. Understanding this history is crucial for building a global movement against imperialism and for socialism.
Call to Action
  1. Educate and Organize: Spread awareness about U.S. imperialism and its impact on the Global South.
  2. Support Anti-Imperialist Movements: Stand in solidarity with nations resisting U.S. intervention, such as Cuba, Venezuela, and Palestine.
  3. Demand Accountability: Pressure governments to end military interventions and cut funding for imperialist wars.
The fight against imperialism is inseparable from the fight for socialism. Onward, comrades! ✊

2025.01.25 04:20 21jps One and the Same Letter Without Printing

Wife needs to transfer money from a wealthfront account to Fidelity. The name on the wealthfront account is her maiden name. Fidelity sent a email about filling out the One and the Same letter.
This letter is one you have to print out and sign. Is there by chance any other way to do this without printing? Is there a docusign version?

2025.01.25 04:20 peachesncream313 Do I attempt to remove this, or add to it? Help…one year later & I still hate my tattoo.

Do I attempt to remove this, or add to it? Help…one year later & I still hate my tattoo. This tattoo was symbolic for me in many ways, and I believe the artist created something beautiful. However, I’ve never fully accepted the tattoo due to its sheer size and bold lines. One year later, and it still feels completely out of place on my body.
At this point, I’m very torn on whether I should attempt to remove it OR add to it to help create more of a balance. Removing looks incredibly painful, long (like years long), and expensive. Whereas, I do have four other tattoos that I completely love. They’re more delicate and feminine, so maybe that’s what I’m missing?
Would appreciate any advice, or similar experiences! Thanks all.
TLDR: received a personally symbolic tattoo, still a year later feels out of place on my body and I hate it. Do I remove or try to add to it?

Went to Target to try and find the werehog pack and the super forms 2 pack… nothing. Even though the app said there were 5 of the werehog pack. Meanwhile, at Walmart, there were tons of Super Sonics, a few of Knuckles, and the big score— I copped a wave 2 Shadow! Picked up the Amy for lil sis too!

2025.01.25 04:20 Good-Ganache-6412 I got replaced

It's hard pretending you're not sad and upset about something when you are in fact sad and upset.
I've always wanted to be a student teacher in science for years now. I got happy when I was finally chosen, but a virus started spreading in our class. It's not deadly or dangerous, but the school wanted to protect us so they shifted us online. A couple of days later, I got a message saying they've replaced me. It's sad since this year is my last year here and I never got the chance to become a student teacher in science.
It seems that everytime I hope for something, that something never happens, but everytime I convince myself to just not hope for it, it happens.

2025.01.25 04:20 Think-Swimmer-1026 How can I manage transference with my GP?

This is so frustrating.
This isn’t specific to any professional, but all — and in particular it’s my GP currently.
I understand it’s a professional relationship with boundaries and I’ve no intent to cross them. I try to be open and honest about how I’m feeling, what’s impacting me, but it’s difficult.
And I’d try changing GPs, except this happens with every one of them. I experience it with counsellors too.
It isn’t sexual/romantic (though admittedly he is attractive, so I am willing to say perhaps - though I’m not sure? - this may slightly influence things? I really don’t know) but more so a parental authority figure who I’m scared of disappointing, so I agree to things I know might be of little help and try to be a “good” patient by not advocating for myself, being compliant, over-compensating with explanations as to why things failed. It also interferes with any prospect of future physical examinations due to shame.
But he’s an attentive GP, even if he doesn’t specialise in mental health, and actually - at least for the most part - is okay with my requests to see face to face as he understands I struggle with communication. He gives me time to think, doesn’t rush me, and actually listens when I have issues. Perhaps this is because he’s a relatively new GP, I’m not sure, but I also want this continuity of care because it’s exhausting rehashing it out again and again.
But I don’t want to confide in it because I’m scared it’ll creep him out etc, even if they are taught how to deal with transference. I’m also feeling so much shame, too, as it’s a fairly taboo thing.

2025.01.25 04:20 doesntshutupinnj Help reading test results

Hello. I'm a 44 year old woman. Diagnosed with hypothyroidism and on Synthroid for approximately twenty years. My dose has had to be adjusted up and down at various times. Been on 137mcg/day for about ten years now I'd say. However, I slacked off and didn't get my thyroid tested for approximately seven years. Bad, I know.
Anyway - finally trying to get myself together and I went to my PCP and got bloodwork done the other day.
based on my research, my results may be indicative of Hashimoto's, in addition to the hypothyroidism I already knew I had. I had elevated antibodies at least once before, but no one ever actually told me I had Hashimoto's.
I've had symptoms such as brain fog, anxiety, inability to lose weight, hands and feet feeling cold/etc. I've had worse symptoms before, in the past, before I was on medication, but when I'm thinking about it, I should have realized my thyroid was out of wack
Really just wondering what people think should be done here. I'm assuming an increase of thyroid meds....anything else I should be asking my doctor for?
Thanks!!!
