it was dark out when i first met you. there was only the light of the moon and the stars. it was getting late, and we both went to bed. i looked out the window and the night seemed brighter. "it was silly," i thought. "it's only been a few hours," i thought. but there was this strangely unfamiliar yet warm feeling in my heart.
and it told me something.
that there was something special about that otherwise ordinary night. that something else, someone else was in the stars that night. that somehow, someway, my life had changed forever. by luck, no less. how lucky i was to be there, and how very lucky i feel now.
others can see it on my face. it's been pointed out to me. some recent smile that's never been on my lips before. a slight upturn of the corners of my mouth that carry so much emotion.
there has never been something as perfect as you are before. the stars in the sky, shining so bright shine nowhere near as bright as you. they carry not nearly as much warmth and comfort as you do. and they are nowhere near as beautiful as you, as even cosmic grandiosity pales in comparison to such perfection on Earth.
like us, the stars will one day disappear, only the light that we see remaining before forever dissipating into the infinite nothingness of great space. however, this is no cause for sadness. while we do only have limited time, it is the things we do during that time that make our lives so special. the people we talk to, the walks we go on, the air we breathe, each one of these is a bit of paint on the canvas of our lives.
but what would give these dabs of paint more purpose, more splendor, would be if i could paint this starry night sky of life with you. the painting would be for you, my december star. on it i would lay out my life, a story told in celestial scripture. every star would tell a separate story, different from the last.
in the middle of this painting, would be a red star.
there is no other place this star could be, at least to me. center stage seems the best for the star of the show. the universe would applaud and ask for an encore. the universe would shower you with constellations in the shapes of roses. the universe would cry starry tears of happiness, proud of who they made that day.
a love such as this makes my mind spin and my heart race, and while i know not where it might lead, it is a path i would love nothing more than to accompany you along. hand in hand, together we would walk, into the starry skies above.
a crimson star takes my heart, my soul ablaze with an eighth love. for you, my light? the world.
i love you more than the entire universe and everything in and around it.

I found out recently that his dad is battling cancer. The guy is in his early 40s (Iām 34) and his dad is in mid-70s.
My guy has been slow to open about this (for good reasons) but from what heās revealed doesnāt sound good at all. He has some other significant stressors (that info is below) and it feels like heās on the edge. Heās not gushy about feelings and tries to stay strong, but I can even hear it in his voice. Last night I did a spa night and some herbal tea to help him sleep. I never pry and just give space for him to talk when he wants.
How can I be culturally sensitive and support him as a friend?
If it matters, heās the oldest sibling and a first generation Nigerian-American.
OPTIONAL BACKGROUND Summary of reasons heās not opening up: we met 3 years ago (March 21) when I returned to our city from another state and he from an athletic career in Eurasia. Sparked immediately, then he told me he had to go back to Europe for an undetermined amount of time for work and child custody matters. I told him I wasnāt waiting, got engaged to another man.
At the time we met, we were both 2 years out from divorcing our respective partners. We click on lots of ways but can have some intense opposing opinions. Admittedly, Iām was also pretty spoiled. I had been with ex from HS - 30. Then had 2 one year relationships in the state I lived in - both great guys who treated me like a princess, but ultimately I couldnāt see myself marrying either and ended them before moving to current city.
He gets back about 6 months later (gone june - dec 2021) and I avoid him for 3 months. March 2022, I agree to have dinner, then the next week I go to his place and We hook up (we have amazing chemistry), then we start hanging out again (he knows Iām engaged, says he canāt do what I want right now), every few months Iāll feel bad about cheating and disappear. We reconnect periodically.
We are hanging out in the summer 2023. In the fall We are at my house, working on our separate things - before he leaves he drops that he hooked up with someone. The woman saw my picture and became enraged and jealous and has been trying to get in touch and heās telling me before she does. I say I donāt want to talk about it, latter he called and keeps insisting that Iām upset about it. I wasnāt focused on it, Iām busy at work. I blew-up and say extremely hurtful things, about sensitive things heās told me and dig at some of his insecurities. We donāt speak again until March 2024 when I apologize. We hook up, heās guarded, I stop talking to him.
Around the same time I end my engagement. (Do NOT feel too bad for the ex - he was a rich guy 33 years older than me. He lied about his age and was very insecure and I was miserable. Also, was NOT hooking up with the old guy. We did once. He has issues and Iām not interested).
Nigerian man is fully aware and would even give advice as long as I didnāt ask him to do so to often.
September 2024 we reconnect and he says heās stressed. I assume itās the same child Custody issues and building non-sport career. Slowly he revels more and more and itās sounds bad.

22F - So I got my kyleena iud put in Dec 11 and I am aware that my body is regulating considering thereās a foreign object in it. I know there was gonna be side effects like acne (my cystic acne is SO bad right now) and an irregular period which I have finally stopped bleeding since my insertion. This week would technically be my period but I have not gotten it. I have also been having extreme cramping at random times. Itās not regular but they last for about 1 minute and itās 3-4 times a day. I used to have bad cramps but this is nothing Iāve ever experienced before. The first time it happened was when I was driving (had to pull over) and I thought I had to go to the hospital cause 1 minute felt so long. The weird thing is it switches sides. It has mainly just been the right side (sharp) with radiating flank pain, but it has occasionally been felt on the left too. Has this happened to anyone else??? A comment, peace of mind, or really anything helps.
Since the insertion Iāve had bloating to where my abdomen was sensitive even wearing regular loose pants. The sharp pains began on Monday morning, pain scale: 3-4 in between full blown cramps which are at 8ās. After they pass I feel dizzy and I am sweating. I have been constipated for the past two days as well.

The reason I bring this up here is because a gate student on tik tok uploaded a few of her old worksheets she did in the class, and one of them really stuck out to me. I recently took a plan B on my week of ovulation like the second day 1/4 because the condom broke and i was worried. Fast forward i've been spotting for two weeks and i was supposed to get my period 1/23 but it's late. I can't tell if the spotting/irregular bleeding is just a light period but i doubt it. I'm just waiting for my period to come because i know that the plan b will delay my period. But is spotting/irregular bleeding for two weeks common before my period?

1) Irving's outie appears to be a spy. He has documents related to severance employees, he is talking to someone who didn't pick up (Burt?) on the payphone about how his "innie got the message". In another active thread right now, there is speculation that outie Irving is communicating with innie Irving through his watch.
2) The retirement video feels like comic relief, but it isn't. Burt is requesting specific information.
When he says "I don't really know any of you but the man standing there with you now does" he is speaking to Irving.
He goes on to say "...even though sitting here right now I have no recollection of actually ever meeting you I have no idea of your names any of your physical characteristics or even how many of you there are." This is what he is supposed to report back.
3) At the end of the video, Burt glanced at his watch and it cuts off
4) The general vibe hints at it. In the video, Burt says "I'm certain you will remain with me in spirit in some deep and yet complete unaccessible corner of my mind" (there has been speculation about passing messages through dreams and now Irving falls asleep a lot at work). Burt's retirement song has lyrics like "Will you remember the times of your life?"
4) The very first thing Irving says back at MDR after the retirement party is "let's burn this place to the ground". This kicks off their overtime contingency plan. During the overtime contingency, we see Irving pound on Burt's door yelling Burt's name. Irving is not stupid, he knows that outie Burt would not know who innie Irving is. But it makes a lot of sense if they are working together. We never actually see innie Irving turn around at Burt's door - I think he told him everything he needed to know.
Now I'm already worried that Burt is a double agent...!<

2025.01.25 04:19 OfficialC768 Game will not start regardless of troubleshooting.
I had an issue where after an update I could no longer open world as it would hit me with the "failed to initialize dirextX11". After reinstalling, verifying files, deleting recommended files, and doing everything that the other posts said my game will just not start up. Not even a black screen. I don't know what to do and now I'm thinking I'll never be able to play this again. Could someone give me any pointers cause I feel like I'm out of options.
