2025.01.25 04:20 The_SpaceBoy_Nation I don’t even know. This post has no real title.

“Have I found a better method of pretending you were just some lover?” Alex Turner’s hypnotic lyrics in the song Love is a Laserquest has my brain in a vice, well maybe not just the song. As I look at the date it is roughly three days until my ex fiancé's birthday, we had broken up on “mutual terms” which is a way to put that she had left me. I sit here in what is supposed to be the dawn of a new life. I’m in my mid-twenties living with my parents halfway across the country from where two months ago I was a happy person, I believed that I had found the one or whatever that really is supposed to mean, A wedding that was going to happen around Halloween…fuck what has happened to me? I used to feel lighter than air…I used to be certain of so much: a white picket fence, two beautiful cats, and a dog maybe. I had truly had everything that I wanted in life, However contentedness is a breeding ground for complacency and through that I lost nearly everything that I held near and dear to my heart. Truth be told I do not know why I am writing this or to whom this will probably be thrown on to a random subreddit. I am just at a loss of what to do, how to feel, and how to process beyond the traditional saying and metaphors such as “ It gets easier every day” or what have you. I hope it will be this dark for as long as I can stomach it. I do not want to forget this feeling of betrayal, anger, angst and cynicism. I want to let go, but I can't. I want to live a healthy, happy life that in a lot of ways is driven by spite and the feelings listed above. This isn't a cry for help or a threat to anyone or anything. It’s just the moody thoughts of a guy whose partner ripped his heart out and told it to bite the curb. I don’t hate her, I don't wish anything negative on her life. I’m just…defeated and really sick of crying every night.

2025.01.25 04:20 LogicalBrick3416 Peds nurses why?

Is this just a near me thing or are Peds nurses grouchy everywhere. It’s wild you’d think people that want to work with kids would be a little more light hearted. No! The whole hospital dreads having to deal with the nurses on the floor. Why is this a thing?

2025.01.25 04:20 Crazy-Comb To grow a cactus

To grow a cactus,
you have to forgive the small spikes,
learn to water without touching,
and we–
we are just like this.
To grow together, we give up
on the whole experience or else
we are torn
I wonder just how much of me
is buried down–
told to be a seed.
In that cold, wet soil,
I’m building a list of what cannot be said–
a list to be forgiven

2000s–Present Venezuela Supported opposition groups and attempted coups against Hugo Chávez and Nicolás Maduro. Hugo Chávez (Venezuelan President) Chávez died (2013); Maduro remains in power despite U.S. sanctions and coup attempts.
Key Patterns of U.S. Imperialism
  1. Economic Interests: Many interventions were motivated by the desire to protect U.S. corporate profits, such as United Fruit Company in Guatemala or oil interests in the Middle East.
  2. Anti-Communism: The U.S. frequently intervened to overthrow socialist or leftist governments, as seen in Chile, Cuba, and Nicaragua.
  3. Regime Change: The U.S. has a long history of orchestrating coups and installing puppet regimes, as in Iran (1953) and Guatemala (1954).
  4. Military Dominance: The U.S. uses its military power to enforce its global hegemony, often under the guise of "democracy" or "human rights."
Conclusion The history of U.S. interventions is a history of imperialism, exploitation, and violence. These actions have caused immense suffering, destabilized entire regions, and undermined the sovereignty of nations. Understanding this history is crucial for building a global movement against imperialism and for socialism.
Call to Action
  1. Educate and Organize: Spread awareness about U.S. imperialism and its impact on the Global South.
  2. Support Anti-Imperialist Movements: Stand in solidarity with nations resisting U.S. intervention, such as Cuba, Venezuela, and Palestine.
  3. Demand Accountability: Pressure governments to end military interventions and cut funding for imperialist wars.
The fight against imperialism is inseparable from the fight for socialism. Onward, comrades! ✊
