I've read from many tech sites that BitDefender (and a few others) have great free protection with their apps.
But what all are these free versions doing on my phone besides blocking malware?
Are they going to also be scanning my image gallery for example? Do they collect other usage data on my messages or other things typed on my phone (like browser history or texts/messenger)? I also heard they may collect and sell my data (as part of the agreement to use the free version). Any truth to any of this?

Anyone else on that flight? As a courtesy, Porter re-booked us from RSW to YUL to YOW. This doubles our travel time and lands us within 2 hours drive of our home, but flies us to Toronto, over our home, then back to Ottawa.
Car rental agencies charge about $225 to leave a car at another airport, but it could save us 3.5 hours travel time.
Chat feature is not live right now and it was a 2 hour wait to see ticketing agent yesterday so we accepted the new booking.
Not much faith in a 1 hour layover in YUL considering Canada Customs and security.

2025.01.26 07:08 joreyo Do you guys actually remember everything about game you've played even years to decades ago?
Reason I'm asking this is because I've now forgotten a lot of details of the games I've played a long time ago, or honestly even just months ago. And also I get surprised when I see people specifically remember certain stuff in a game that was released years ago and the specific terminologies used.
Example.
I played Trails through Daybreak just a few months ago, but now I actually do not remember much of the details of what happened in the game. But I do remember the major plot points.
I don't even properly remember the names of the characters introduced there. If I was given a picture of said character with names not shown, I'd have trouble remembering it. But If I was given a name and asked to match it with a character portrait, I'd easily be able to do it and even say some of what they did in the game and stuff.
Same when I just played Ys Nordics two months ago. All I properly remember now is the name of the female deuteragonist. I don't even remember the name of the villain. But if someone explained it to me, I will be able to recall specific details but that's it.
Sample of game that I've played years ago would be DQXI. I don't remember anything except for something big that happened that made me go what the fuck, how much I grinded fighting slimes, and some parts of the ending. Oh and Jade. No way I'll forget her.
It gets worse for me in regard to games I've played decades ago. Example FF:Tactics. I don't remember ANYTHING about it anymore at all. The only characters I remember are Ramza, Agrias, and Cid. But that's all I remember. None of the plot, etc.
Is that normal or what?

I genuinely don't know how this happened.
Now let me just say that it took me a hot minute to get Adeepindigo's preteen mod working in my game, from getting it to appear in the first place, to fixing the bendy legs, to finding appropriate clothing for the age group. Now this poor baby is pregnant and miscarrying and I don't even know how. I didn't even know I had a miscarriage mod in my game. Like, I actively avoid them because they truly hurt my feelings. I think I must have let RPO's miscarriage module slip in by accident, (I included some pics of the buffs, let me know if I'm wrong), but I'm not sure. What's more, my household is already larger than 8 Sims, and I really thought nobody in the household could get pregnant because of that. But my adult 'mom' Sim had a miscarriage earlier in the Sim week. I had no idea she was pregnant, either. So part of me is worried that this is a glitch and all the female Sims in my household are pregnant.
...I don't know who got the preteen Sim pregnant and I have to hope it's the other preteen that lives in the household because that's the least terrible option...like, it's her foster brother (her foster family took her in after her family was brutally murdered by werewolves. Werewolf murder is the leading cause of death in my game. They do have a little crush on each other), but that's better than it being her foster dad, right?
I guess I'm here just trying to see if anyone has any advice about what confluence of factors caused this Sim to get pregnant and what's even about to happen? Again, she's in the middle of miscarrying, probably. The household is too big for another Sim, (I think), is that what triggered both miscarriages? How should I fix any of this? Preferably to where she was never pregnant in the first place? She's already pregnant in all of my most recent saves. Is there a specific buff I can use MCCC to delete? I don't want to mess around delete one buff but leave another that has a residual impact on the Sim.

DLSS is a game changer and we´ve seen PoE 2 implement it properly. It gets even better with an upcoming update and there´s an override function, but the game needs to support DLSS to begin with.
Even if PoE 1 doesn´t have beautiful graphics and is mostly CPU bound it would make an insane difference. But PoE´s engine is ancient at this point so I don´t even know if it´s possible for the devs?

My wife (34F) and I (36M) have been married for three years. She has a son, "Josh" (10M), from her previous marriage, and I have a daughter, "Lily" (8F), from mine. We’ve worked hard to blend our family, and while things haven’t been perfect, I’d say we have a decent dynamic.
This past holiday season, my parents wanted to do a professional family photo session. They invited me, my wife, Lily, and Josh to participate. My parents are generally nice, but they’ve always been vocal about how “family bloodlines” are important to them.
A few days before the photo session, my mom pulled me aside and said she wanted the photos to reflect “our side of the family.” She suggested taking some shots without Josh, since he’s not biologically related. I was shocked and told her that wasn’t happening. My wife overheard part of the conversation and was visibly upset.
I told my mom to drop the idea, and she reluctantly agreed. However, on the day of the shoot, the photographer said there was a specific “list” of shots to take. Sure enough, my mom had included a note for a “family-only” set. When my wife saw Josh being excluded from these shots, she burst into tears and said she and Josh were leaving.
My parents said she was being overly dramatic, and I tried to calm her down, but she said she felt disrespected and humiliated. She later told me she was hurt I didn’t stand up for Josh more forcefully in the moment, even though I had already told my mom off privately.
Now, my parents are upset that I "let my wife blow up a simple photoshoot," and my wife is upset that I didn’t do more. I feel like I’m stuck in the middle, trying to keep the peace. AITA for not taking a stronger stand and allowing the photos to proceed?
