2025.01.26 06:55 J0rdyn_the_wr1ter Is my watch supposed to lose so much battery while not in use?
I charged my watch up to 98% yesterday morning at 10am or so, wore it until 7pm, only went down to about 92%. Did not wear it to bed and only wore it for about 30 minutes today to track a short walk, then took it back off. For all that, it’s drained to 47%. Why?

Context: Me (F20) and my parents live in a motel room right now. My step-dad has been living with us for ten years.
So, ever since elections, my step-dad has been all doom and gloom when he talks. We can't have a single conversation without him ruining it by bringing up politics in some way. I'm stuck with him alone all night while my mom is at work. He's upset half the time because when he talks to me I'm basically straight faced the whole time, but when I talk to my friends I smile at my phone a bit. I've tried to say that he's making me feel worse and worse about having a future and that the more he talks about the world the way he does the more depressed I get. He won't listen and keeps doing it. I don't know what to do anymore. I'm just done being reminded that I'm fucked.

The happiest day of my life will be when someone asks me about horology and watches and smiles when I talk about it. Not staring at the ground, not one earbud in, no a genuine conversation where I can act like a stark raving mad lunatic making connections to the creation of the the tourbillon into electron dynamic and the potential use of attoseconds. On a more sad note, I wish people would listen more than ask how my day is. I'd be a lot less lonely if people asked me what I learned today rather than how I feel.
