Pretty much just what the title says. I've been playing this game for over a year and have gotten on every single day. Love this game but I have one big complaint. I have so many items that I don't want but am unable to trade because I only have one. Some of these items are super rare and will just collect dust in my inventory. I wish you didn't have to have duplicates to trade. I understand it "builds value" but I just want to have fun in my little game. I also would be more willing to spend gp on gacha's that don't have as many items I like in it. I also play with my partner and it sucks not being able to just give each other the rare items we have that the other has on their wishlist! Anyone else feel the same??

I guess they're technically filler since they're not really plot oriented but I've come to enjoy them all the same. We start off with Monster Arm. Marco breaks his arm practicing karate and Star magics him a fix.. in the form of a monster arm. The Monster Arm affects Marco's personality - and helps him beat Jeremy - but Marco realizes how bad it is before things go too far. A friend of mine worries that Monster Arm could come back and cause problems for Marco, but I'd argue since he saw how evil Monster Arm was while he still had it, he already beat it. Even if Monster Arm's threat of 'coming back' was true, Marco's stronger than that and he has too big a heart to let that overcome him. \"Star was right about you. You ARE a bad influence!\" ~ The Other Exchange Student has Star getting jealous over one of the Diazes previous exchange students coming to visit. She gets really paranoid and eventually learns that "Gustav" just wants some excitement in his life and they sort of come to an understanding. Also the Diazes throw a lot of parties for their guests. One thing worth pointing out is Star just doing little spells when she's happy. We definitely see magic being tied to emotion in Season 2 with The Fritz. Just a little correlation here. ~ Cheer Up, Star really could be 'Cheer up, Marco', too, since both of them were having bad days at different times. Although, both of them pulled out all the stops to try and cheer up the other. Even though their friendship is young, they really do care about each other. Marco, in particular, drops the "you're the coolest girl I know" to Star while he's in the middle of building armor. He didn't see it, but Star smiled a little.. more than she normally does. It was kind of an unconscious thought, but it shows how much he cares about her... more than he might know. \"You're the coolest girl I know.\" ~ And then we have the first appearance of Quest Buy. Star's charger goes missing and Marco and Star run into Ludo and his goons while going to buy a new one. Marco's organization comes through to save the day, and Star beats Ludo even though her Wand was out of Marco and Star, despite being polar opposites in some ways (Marco's organization vs. Star's chaos), really do work well together. ~ Lots of fun, building up the characters, and fighting Ludo. I've lately dipped my toes into Pokemon Card Selling/Re-Investing and writing this post to share my journey so far. I've personally been looking for opportunities to make a few hundred bucks per month on the side and I think this is something that's been super interesting so far.
There's currently a huge boom for Pokemon Cards. You probably have seen this on other reddit threads/maybe even on the news where people are literally fighting over Pokemon Cards in Costco. Logan Paul got into this during Covid, and now you even have AJ and Big Justice making Pokemon card vlogs lol.
The products are simple:
- Single Cards (Singles): Individual cards, often sought after by collectors.
- Booster Packs: Random sets of 10 cards, MSRP around $5–$6.
- Booster Boxes: Contain 36 booster packs, MSRP around $120.
- Elite Trainer Boxes (ETBs): Around 8 booster packs plus promo items, MSRP about $40–$50.
After that, you can either buy + hold the product, or start selling on Facebook Marketplace or Whatnot, an app I've been using for livestream shopping. I've personally invested about $4,000–$5,000 in sealed products and streams 2–3 times a week for 1–2 hours. Over three months, I've built a community of 300+ followers, sold 300+ items, and earn about $1,000/month! I will say it's probably hard to replicate this-- I put a lot of capital into this, and was able to acquire very in-demand sets including Prismatic Evolutions and Surging Sparks, which is pretty much sold out everywhere.
For context-- a Booster Box of Surging Sparks is currently going for ~$200 and Prismatic Booster Bundles are going for ~100 (only 6 packs!)
I'm just throwing this idea out here in case you're interested. My experience with this has been super fun, especially since I've been a Pokemon nerd since I was a kid. I will say, selling Pokemon Cards basically feels like you're enabling gamblers, since the demand primarily comes from people who are hoping to luck out and hit a hundred dollar card out of a pack I sell for 8-10 bucks (and I get these packs for maybe 4-5 bucks).
You can also buy single cards and go down the investing route in that-- a Moonbreon from Evolving Skies is currently going for over $1000 RAW, which is a pack valued at around $15 bucks.
This market is crazy lol, but also a lot of fun. I hope some of y'all who have played Pokemon as a kid find this interesting!

I don’t want to bring too much politics into this subreddit, but you Westerners are genuinely too naive. I’m Chinese, and while the CCP exploits us under its oppressive rule, seeing people here praising their so-called “achievements” while ignoring the filth behind them makes me furious.
- "DeepSeek has censorship, but so does ChatGPT." I believe all kind of censorship shouldn’t exist at all, but even if we tolerate it, the levels of harm between these two types are worlds apart. The former censors any criticism of authoritarian power, while the latter censors information that could harm others. The former supports authoritarianism, while the latter tries to protect people. Even if you don’t like ChatGPT’s censorship, you still have alternatives from Google, Meta, or xAI. In contrast, every single AI model from China comes with the same government-imposed censorship baked in.
- "But it’s open-source, so you can deploy your own…" Okay, have you deployed your own model locally and been using it daily? The reality is that 99% of users will simply use the official web app when they need an AI assistant. This is evident as it recently topped the App Store download charts. Using these apps directly puts the CCP’s censorship right in your face.
- Do you think CCP censorship only applies to politics words like “Tiananmen” or “Tibet”? No, it is abused 100 times more than you can imagine. Do you think China has made great achievements, with its flashy big cities and high-speed rail? In reality, the CCP’s strategy has always been to exploit 1.3 billion cheap laborers to sustain a privileged class of tens of millions, and to showcase their lives to foreigners. For every well-off Chinese citizen you see, there are ten others earning less than $4,000 a year, crushed under exploitation. Many of these workers don’t even receive their hard-earned, sweat-drenched wages at year end, and their protests are often swiftly silenced under China’s censorship system. China doesn’t have free healthcare either. Their system forces people to pay, and the quality of care is subpar. There’s currently a growing discussion online in China about the poor quality of medications—but, of course, much of the criticism of the government is heavily censored. When you praise this system built on the blood and tears of over a billion Chinese people, I don’t know whether it’s out of ignorance or malice. Either way, it disgusts me.

I feel like a lot of what drives this sub is the fact that she could go any day now. The daily posts of her tiktoks kind of prove that; this obsession about her current state.
Let's really think about it though. She does not move around, and will not need to. Her actual movements are very few and far between, and when she does move, it is with her upper body, the arguably more important half.
She is in the IDEAL situation for an anorexic person; doesn't have to do anything for herself except using the bathroom (for now.) And even that has been debated.
She has mastered the horrible art of 21st century anorexia, meaning this disease has found a way to last the longest it possibly can, propped up by the modernization of everyday life and wealth.
Yes, she looks the worst she ever looked, but give it a year, and she can and will look much worse.
You want my honest opinion as someone who had a very similar situation to hers?
She will last much more than a few years. She will grow to her middle ages before she goes.
We have all witnessed this possibility with other anorexic people. Lifelong, or long-term anorexic people know how to function at the lowest possible denominator before their bodies truly cannot take it anymore, and pass of malnutrition in their middle age. They are masters of skimming by, until the body cannot skim by anymore - almost always in the middle age.
So.. let it be. Get used to her (or give up), for your own mental health, because she is not going anywhere, anytime soon.
