Hello! I'm 38/M trying to make friends. No romance please. If you want to talk about cooking, gardening, baking and other diy domestic pursuits, I am your guy. I am trying to learn to make everything I can from scratch, albeit slowly. Also nerdy stuff like sci-fi, novels, movies, and tv series. I could talk Dune, got, and eldritch horror for...so long. I also like to travel and hike. I've been around the world, and I have more places to go once life frees up a bit. Tell me where you've been! Word of mouth from people I trust is the only advertising I tolerate. I like board games and video games, though I am playing less of the latter nowadays.
Now, what's rarer is someone who can talk about deep stuff such as existence, morality, spirituality, game theory, math/comp sci, relationships, gender, sexuality, economics, perception, time, society. It would be lovely to find someone with those interests as well; but don't let that limit you. I love to talk deep stuff and shallow stuff so hmu in any case.
I'd be down to vc if we vibe and I love to travel so if you stick around, no matter where you are I'll meet you one day.
Oh, I also don't really discriminate on age, but unless you are wicked precocious I would say >25ish? Idk use your best judgement we will vibe or we won't.

Hi everyone,
I’ve noticed that a few employees are missing in our tenant, and I need to add them along with their details, including name, compensation, manager information, address, phone number, email, and ethnicity, using iLoads. However, I’ve never worked with iLoads before and couldn’t find helpful resources on the Workday Community.
Can anyone guide me on how to start with iLoads from scratch on how to implement this or point me to any useful documentation or tutorials? Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Our nanny has been with us 4 months and we intend on letting her know that we are no longer in need of her services. She took one full week of vacation already in Dec (something we told her she could do prior to starting because of a planned trip she had) so what is the protocol on paying out the rest of the weeks? Do we pay her the full year of vacation even though it’s only been a few months? We are already paying her 4 week’s severance per our contract but just curious what others would do on the vacation days.

2025.01.27 17:12 meepymeepbeep Cat pawing and biting me to wake me up at 3am even after late night play sessions
Hello! I have a one year old boy that we adopted at 6 months. I have taken a lot of advice from this sub while I manage his kitten energy and I'm wondering if I need to be doing something different with our sleeping routine.
To preface we play with Doug multiple times ( 6:30/7am before work, 5:30pm after work, another round around 8pm if he's getting rowdy, then 12:30-1am before bed). On weekends we play throughout the day.
Even with the midnight play sesh Doug comes up to me in bed around 3:30 or 4:30am and starts pawing and biting at me to wake me up. He will start gentle but when I have made attempts to ignore him he will just bite harder and claw in my hair and at the sheets until it hurts too much to ignore. He always walks all over me and paws and bites at me and not my boyfriend (who is a deeper sleeper). If I throw the cat over to him and tell him to put him in snuggle jail, Doug wiggles out and comes back over to mess with me.
I have tried ignoring him/playing dead and he just bites harder until I can't ignore it. I have cried/yelled out in pain. I will kick him off the bed but he jumps back up.
I want to redirect him and make sure he doesn't bite and scratch at me (he only does it when he's bored I know it's normal for him to want to hunt and play at this hour) so my current routine is:
- got an auto feeder that feeds at intervals including after midnight and 5am. He's actually not really food motivated and grazes so he doesn't seem to care about this much but I just recently got one so that he stops associating me with waking up and feeding him
- when he starts pawing at my face and nibbling at me at 3am, I pretty quickly get up and lock him out of the room. When I lock him out I turn cat tv on and a mechanical toy but he's pretty indifferent about them. He loves when we play with him. The positive is that when I lock him out he's not actively destroying the house or anything
- Once I shut him out and try to turn on TV and toys to stimulate him, I put in ear plugs and go back to bed until my alarm at 6:30. Previously I was responding to him when he was scratching and meowing at the door (I know this reinforced him) so now I put in earplugs as it is hard for me to hear him scratching and meowing. Once I actually need to be awake, I get up and start playing with him and getting ready

I often dream of reading in a castle with, large windows and huge fire place and a lit up village with mountains in the distance. Or maybe a wildflower field with a waterfall or creek nearby. My wife and I love visiting national parks, we really enjoyed Yellowstone and Glacier which we took our oldest to when he was one. Now we have 2 and they're a bit older. We were considering going to Seattle this summer and then spending a few days driving through ONP, but I'm curious if the kids would enjoy it. Mostly looking for input on people that have taken their kids, and what they recommend for stops. Thank you!
